Harry was extremely helpful during the initial stages, taking the time to explain the process, answer my questions and ensure everything was submitted correctly.

Once my application had been submitted, Kate took over and was absolutely fantastic. My application experienced a number of delays and complications along the way, including valuation issues and lengthy lender processing times. Throughout this period, Kate kept me updated, responded quickly to emails and spent a great deal of time chasing the lender on my behalf.

What stood out most was the communication and support I received. The mortgage process can be stressful at times, but Kate was always approachable, professional and reassuring, keeping me informed every step of the way.

Thanks to the hard work of both Harry and Kate, my mortgage offer was successfully issued and I always felt that my case was being looked after.

I've made several attempts to complete my profile, nothing I do can make it past 97%. There's no way to speak to anyone until that's complete so I have no way to resolve this. I've given a big company lots of my personal information and received nothing in return

I suppose Better did check all available mortgages, but I think I could have done that myself anyway. In the end they recommended that I stay with my existing provider, which I definitely could have done myself. I also didn't feel completely sure that my new rate was locked in, and I had to ask via email several times, and was told that it was secured, but I had no documentation (other than email) to support this so I did feel uneasy about it. This was exacerbated by the fact that my existing mortgage lender couldn't confirm it in advance either, as they're said that if (My) broker had arranged it, they couldn't see it on their system. All in all, I felt rather uneasy about the whole process, although it did turn out on in the end. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend the 'service' to anyone else and would probably just do it myself next time I come to renew.
