Over Big House Experience
Geschreven door het bedrijf
Our aim is simple: to offer truly wonderful experiences in truly exceptional houses, for groups of friends and families. We have curated our fabulous collection of large houses to rent with great care. Each and every house has been hand-picked with those truly wonderful experiences in mind. All have oodles of space, luxury as standard, and unique features that add the ‘wow’ factor.
We’re a family business. It started with just the two of us; husband and wife duo, Gareth and Claire Allen. We’re developing a team of lovely like-minded people around us as we grow, who will make sure we never lose that family business feel. And that means we’ll never lose that level of personal service that our wonderful guests have come to love.
We are selective. And unapologetically so. We feature only houses we’d be genuinely excited about staying in ourselves. It’s not about numbers for us – we’re happy to keep our collection of properties small and beautiful if that means we can recommend each property with confidence and pride.

40th birthday celebration at Magpie Farm
I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Magpie Farm. It was the perfect house for us as a group of 19, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone! The house has everything you could need and the kitchen with additional pantries were also ideal for catering to so many. The grounds are beautiful, especially when the sun is out! It also is so easy to get to from London which was a huge bonus for us. The comms around my booking were lovely and accommodating from start to finish. Wish I could spend many more weekends there.

The Olive House
Wow! What a house this is!! Came back Monday after celebrating my sisters hen do. From pulling onto the drive to enjoying the amazing facilities (including heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis, table tennis, trampoline, plenty of garden games and more!)
Everything had been thought about. Decor was to a high standard and I don’t think I’ve slept in a bed as comfy as that one!
Thankyou for trusting us 24 hens with your beautiful house. We had the most memorable time.

Incredible house!
We had a fantastic family weekend away at Bleamoss House — it truly exceeded our expectations. The house had absolutely everything we needed and we didn’t want for anything during our stay.
We especially loved the open fire, which made the evenings so cosy, and the hot tub was a real highlight for everyone. The pool table was also a great addition and kept us entertained throughout the weekend.
Catherine was a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful from start to finish. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future.

Stayed here on the weekend of 15/05/26
Stayed here on the weekend of 15/05/26, absolutely beautiful house, very spacious and very clean, the pool is perfect, was a little cold due to the weather but it was used anyway, it also has a hot tub and sauna. The grounds are perfect and a lovely early morning walk. The beds are so comfortable, sinking into them for a perfect sleep. I highly recommend this beautiful house, you won’t be disappointed 🥰

We stayed at the Lincolnshire Buck for…
We stayed at the Lincolnshire Buck for a large party this weekend (28 of us) and the accommodation, service and location was exceptional. Having a pub to ourselves including a Guinness keg we ordered and a private riverside beer garden was a magical experience and none of the guests have stopped talking about it.
Liz and the team at Big House Experience plus the house owners couldn’t have been more helpful from the point of booking through to the stay itself and the quality of the accommodation is the best I’ve ever seen - the rooms, appliances, bathrooms and comforts were all clearly purposefully chosen for maximum guest comfort and it really shows.
We absolutely loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Big House Experience again. We just need to find an excuse to go back!

The Olive House- 5 stars in every way.
The Olive House- what an amazing beautiful large house for 24 people to stay in.
I have just arrived home from a fabulous weekend stay celebrating my niece's hen party. From the minute you turn on to the driveway it has the wow factor.
Its stylish decor greets you as you step in the front door, and when turnng into the kitchen to see the pool and outdoor area which includes a sauna and hot tub, you instantly know you are going to have the best stay ever.
The owner Juliet has thought of everything to make your stay fantastic from a superbly equipped kitchen to the most comfortable beds. And also the welcome gifts of brownies/ rocky road cakes and Prosecco left chilling on the bar, this makes this place a class above the rest.
We truly had the best time swimming, playing tennis, croquet, trampolining and sitting around the fire pit eating smores. We really didn't want to leave. All 24 of us will be talking about this house for years to come.
Liz and the team at big house experience were very professional and i would use them again.
I cannot recommend this property enough. Thank you again, you didn't disappoint.
I will be back.
Amanda

We had the most amazing stay at Sea Star for our girls weekend - the only critism was that we couldn’t stay longer!
When we arrived, cleaners were there finishing off and then gave us a tour and showed us where everything was - we had everything you could need and more!
Every room was beautifully decorated and themed, with gorgeous views! The kitchen dining area was a perfect space for entertaining, the hot tub was AMAZING! Just everything about it was 10/10!
Also the customer service from start to finish was great - always so helpful and friendly!
We will 100% be booking with you again in future. Thank you so much xx

Excellent Property for large family gathering
The booking process from start to finish was easy, an accurate description of the property was provided along with contact details for the owners, advice on all facilities in the Ellipsis House. The property itself was perfect for our large family gathering, peaceful location in the countryside. Excellent facilities, pool room, cinema, hot tub to name a few. The owners gave us a guided tour on arrival and were on hand if any problems arose. Can definitely recommend.
