Perfect for a family holiday.
Water’s Edge in little Witley booked with Bighouse Agency for first time . Perfect for a family holiday.A very large modem house with plenty of rooms to get lost in and the 2cabins were new and roomy and of a highstandard .Plenty of outside space with decking to laze on and do nothing.Had water fights with grandchildren and made beautiful memories daily on vast grounds .views of the lake made it very relaxing to watch the geese rabbits and the occasional deer Was very tranquil surrounded by nature .Housekeeper Helen and husband and son were very helpful and friendly and allowed my grandchildren to visit their farm and educated them on sheep farming.The team from bighouse were helpful and very informative.you can have an Ocado delivery If you like Indian food takeaway is available from Red Lion and we ate at the riverside picturesque Holt fleet

Very efficient and helpful company. Everything at the house was as specified. We were kept up to date with all necessary arrangements re paying deposit etc. I was also given all relevant information before our stay.We had a holiday to remember and can’t praise

We booked Hillacre House through Big House Experience for my hen do and had a fantastic stay. Wonderful setting and grounds
Wonderful setting and grounds, so much on site for our grandchildren to do, pool, animals, soft play, trampoline , play equipment, and we all enjoyed the fire pit.
House was large enough to not feel crowded although there were fourteen of us, four families and three generations ranging from 2 to 70.
We used a listed caterer for a very special celebration meal.
We had fabulous weather for the whole week so spent most of our time outside enjoying the grounds and wonderful facilities with a couple of visits to the beach at Woolacombe

Family weekend at Magpie Farm
what a fantastic location for this major milestone family event. The property is perfectly located, proportioned and prepared for a fun, relaxing and indulgent time away with loved ones. We were a party of 19 adults ranging from 24 through to our 90 year old matriarch, plus two toddlers and 3 well behaved dogs. There is plenty of space for a party of this size (and larger) both inside and out. The grounds are beautiful and enabled long walks, golf, putting, cricket, football, croquet, bbq and just relaxing. Inside each bedroom is well proportioned and beautifully presented. The kitchen is well proportioned and well up to the job of supporting a party of this size and there is ample room inside and out for both formal and informal dining. We all loved the (warm) pool and the snooker table was an added bonus. We didn't use the local pub (Greyhound) this time but had visited previously and found the food and staff there very good and it’s just a 5 minute walk in need. There is a local tennis/padel club just a 5 minute drive away which we did use and found them very accommodating for non-member advance bookings. The country park is a lovely additional way to relax for both brisk walks and for some of our more energetic crowd a health early morning jog without the worry of traffic on the narrow local roads. During our visit Artur (caretaker) was on hand to answer any queries we had and the checkin with the owners was a nice way to learn about some of the history of this beautiful property.

The communication from BHE was…
The communication from BHE was excellent from start to finish. The house space was amazing downstairs - loads of space, lovely decor, every game you could wish for to keep every age entertained. very well equipped kitchen and all extremely clean. Upstairs every room had it's own bathroom with plenty of towels and bath robes, which was great.
The garden was brilliant - lovely swimming pool, outdoor room with pool table, hot tub, plenty of dining space, pizza oven, ping pong - a really fanastic space and everything so close to the house. Older people might have appreciated a hand rail on the steps. The garden did lack any comfortable seating - this felt like a real missed opportunity and something that could easily be rectified.
None of the bedrooms had bedside tables - again easy to rectify but frustrating not to have anywhere to put anything except the floor. The bedrooms also had thin venetian blinds which didn't block light or in any way muffle the road noise, which unfortunately is terrible and relentless from both the garden and all the bedrooms. A really great house, fantastic set up, excellent customer service but the location was disappointing and something we should have checked before confirming. A nice touch would have been to 'own' the road situation and provide ear plugs and an eye mask for each guest - they made all the difference at night!

Golden Wedding Celebrations
We spent 4 nights at Kyleview Manor to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary with our family. The booking experience was personalised and the team were very helpful. The house was amazing, large rooms, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The vast garden area provided ample space for family fun - as a party of 17 ranging from 17 months to 72 years old there was something for everybody and plenty of space to chill both inside and out. The views were breath-taking in this charming village and we did lots of exploring and a boat trip from the local pier. We were spoilt by the weather- it was hot and sunny! A wonderful time was had by all.

Big House Experience / Damson Barn
I booked Damson Barn in Somerset in Feb 2025 for 29th May to 1st June 2026. The booking process was efficient and personal. Nowadays it is a bonus to actually speak to someone! Any queries that I have had since booking have been answered promptly. The barn was amazing, even better than anticipated and was child and adult friendly. We stayed there with 8 adults and 6 children and the pool, table tennis table, play equipment and space outdoors was perfect for the children. The barn was spacious, comfortable and well laid out. All in all our experience from beginning to end was fabulous and my deposit was returned within one day, which completed my satisfaction.

Woldfoot Farm Malton
Just returned from a family break staying at Woldfoot Farm near Malton. What a gorgeous place and would definitely recommend it.
The house is so spacious and 2 hot tubs are an added bonus

Cromarty House
Cromarty House is a fantastic location and was perfect for my 70th birthday. The house is superbly equipped and decorated. The staff were very helpful with some small internet issues. Big House Experience are an excellent business to deal with although there was a miscommunication regarding the hot tub which had been removed.

The house worked perfectly for us. The only comment I would make is it was not completely accessible. The room was perfect but as my brother is completely wheelchair bound the gravel driveway from the house to the door was tricky, as you can imagine.
It would be easy to fix to make it accessible.
But other than that, a lovely location and amenities.

Small family celebration.
Small family celebration.
We stayed at Meon House for three nights in mid-May to celebrate the marriage of our daughter and her partner. We arrived at a spotless house with large, spacious rooms and plenty of room to chill out.
There were 12 of us ranging in age from 10 – 87. We used all the rooms which are large and spacious allowing us to relax and have pre-dinner drinks, games and even an art event! The younger children liked the children’s bedroom where there were choices of bunk beds and even sleeping in an indoor tent!
The indoor pool and sauna were well used by all of us for swimming, playing and generally relaxing.
We would highly recommend Meon House and the staff at The Big House Experience for their patience while making our decision.

We had a great time on our college reunion - bedrooms & bathrooms great but a few issues with WiFi & utensils in kitchen. No booklet to tell you how to use appliances & what to do with waste etc & local medical facilities.

Loch Lomond House was beautiful - great location and a beautifully appointed and comfortable house which was perfect for our extended family weekend celebration.
