Highland Safari.-- Pre holiday experience was pathetic. Information arrived far too late. Tour coach air conditioning was faulty. Audio was faulty. Hopeless. Tour content was satisfactory.

I was very disappointed with this holiday . I have had
good tours in the past. The tour of the Outer Hebrides last year was excellent However the hotel this year was extremely poor The food was uneatable on the first night and there was no choice. The breakfast was meagre and inferior quality and the facilities generally were well below the standard
Expected . I paid nearly £900 for the tour and have been some sort of apology or refund. In the circumstances I am unlikely to book with you again if this is the quality of accommodation you now offer.

It was very disappointing. On a safari you expect to see some animals and we saw NONE. Even in the zoo they’d been moved.
The food at the hotel was dreadful, nothing suitable for the weather, all deep fried and the same menu very night. Breakfast was also disappointing cold fried food that sat out for hours. The people on my tour were well traveled and deserve better accommodation than what was provided. Also everybody had been on Brightwater holidays before and loved them but said this particular tour was a huge disappointment.
The coach driver was excellent and the only
bright spot.

Both Harry and Sarah were very helpful. I was concerned that, having had both hips replaced, I cannot walk very fast and I was concerned that the tour required a lot of walking. They reassured me that I could always have a coffee in a nearby cafe if I were unable to keep up. Similarly, when we had 'free time' to go around on our own I could simply sit somewhere. Harry also advised me on the rail services from London to Penzance and how I could arrive in time to complete the journey to Lands End Airport in a single day. He also offered to book the rail services for me should I need this.

Above and beyond booking service
I called to ask about booking a garden tour just 5 weeks before it started and it looked like I wouldn't get on it because it was fully booked. However, the lady (Nicola?) said she'd check if there was any more accommodation available. The next day she called to say that there was and I could go on the trip. I then had to change the pick-up point I had originally asked for and again it was all easily arranged. That's what I call customer service!
First class experience
The tour itinerary was first class and we visited most of the major attractions in Northumberland. The tour manager Alan was brilliant. He had a good sense of humour and his knowledge of the area was excellent.

I was making a booking at "the last minute" and was very impressed by the response of the gentleman who took the call and sorted out everything for me.
The tour I chose which includes Kent and Sussex. Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Nymans , Great Comp, All wonderful gardens and well worth going on this tour.
The tour I chose which included Highgrove House which was unfortunately cx and I was so disappointed. However, this one I chose as an alternative more than mad up for it, wonderful. I walk with two crutches but was able to manage all the gardens and I was really well looked after by Julia and the driver. Going on a specialist small tour makes it all very friendly and I enjoyed it immensely. The pick up point was perfect as well as I could fly into Gatwick from the Isle of Man and stay in the pick up Hotel.

Mary was excellent and very helpful
Mary was excellent and very helpful. It was stressful not knowing if we would make our flight back to Ireland from Bristol on Monday 29th. Hotel was average but clean and quiet. Food was not good. Tour itself was great and I loved all the gardens.
