If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would.
We paid for an 8-hour deep clean (2 cleaners for 4 hours) of an empty two-bedroom flat. What we received wasn’t a deep clean—it wasn’t even a basic clean. The estate agent’s inspection photos showed dust, hairs left on the floors and in the bathrooms, fingerprints still on doors and cupboards, and floors that didn’t even appear to have been properly mopped. We had to hire another cleaning company to redo the work.
What is truly astonishing, however, is the company’s response.
Rather than acknowledging an obviously substandard job, they chose to defend it with excuses that bordered on absurd. My favourite was their explanation for why a light switch hadn’t been cleaned: because it was outside the kitchen.
Apparently, since we asked them to prioritise the kitchen and bathrooms, they interpreted that as meaning a light switch elsewhere in the flat didn’t need cleaning at all. That perfectly sums up the level of service and accountability we experienced. Prioritising certain rooms does not mean the rest of the property should be ignored.
They also attempted to argue that the bedrooms were somehow not included in the clean. This is simply false. We booked a deep clean for the whole property and asked to prioritise kitchen and bathrooms - that doesn’t mean for them to not enter the bedrooms. At no point was it suggested that entire rooms would be excluded. In fact, we specifically said the kitchen and bathrooms should be prioritised because they required less work, allowing more time for the rest of the flat.
After being presented with photographic evidence, the company still refused to accept responsibility and instead looked for increasingly implausible justifications. It’s difficult to understand how any professional cleaning company could look at those photos and believe they represented eight hours of work.
This has been one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I’ve had. We paid for a professional service, received something well below a reasonable standard, then had to spend more money fixing their mistakes ourselves.
If this is what the company considers an acceptable “deep clean,” I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of companies that understand the difference between doing a job and simply claiming they’ve done it.

For the benefit of future readers, we believe it is important to provide some additional context regarding the booking and the service that was agreed.
Your booking was made directly through our online booking system without a prior quotation or consultation. After reviewing the information provided, we proactively contacted you before the appointment because we were concerned that the service and duration selected were unlikely to achieve the standard typically expected for an agency inspection. We therefore recommended either upgrading to our End of Tenancy Cleaning service, which includes our re-clean guarantee, or extending the booking time to allow the whole property to be cleaned to the expected standard. Both options were declined.
As a result, we mutually agreed an amended scope of work that could realistically be completed within the original booking duration.
Following our discussion, it was agreed that the available time would instead be focused on the kitchen and bathrooms, including the inside of cupboards and appliances, as these were identified as the priority areas. We explained before the appointment, confirmed during our communications and again upon completion that only these agreed areas would be cleaned within the booked time.
After the clean was completed, a completion video was provided confirming the agreed areas had been completed, and the remaining balance was paid. Two days later, following the agency inspection, we received your complaint. Having carefully reviewed the inspection report and photographs, the concerns raised related to areas outside the agreed scope of work, while no issues were identified with the kitchen or bathrooms that had been prioritised.
We fully appreciate that this outcome was frustrating, particularly with an upcoming agency inspection. However, as the concerns raised related to areas outside the agreed scope of work, we were unable to accept responsibility for those items.
We would also like to clarify that, following our discussion and the revised scope that was mutually agreed, the available booking time was allocated to the kitchen and bathrooms. This was communicated before work commenced and confirmed again upon completion.
Our priority is, and always will be, to provide honest advice, clear communication and transparent expectations rather than promise results that cannot realistically be achieved within the service booked. That is why we contacted you before the appointment to recommend a more suitable service and additional time based on the information provided, despite the original booking already having been made.
While we respect your right to share your experience, we are confident that we acted professionally throughout, communicated the agreed scope clearly, and delivered the service that had been mutually agreed.
We remain committed to providing the high standards, transparency and customer service that our clients have come to expect, and we thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.

Excellent end of tenancy clean
Excellent end of tenancy clean – deposit returned with no issues
I booked Brilliant Cleaner for an end of tenancy clean and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. The booking process was easy, communication was quick, and the team arrived exactly when promised.
The cleaners were friendly, professional, and paid great attention to detail. The oven, bathroom, kitchen cupboards, skirting boards, and carpets all looked amazing once they finished. The flat genuinely looked better than when I moved in.
What I liked most was that it felt like they really understood what letting agents and landlords expect during checkout inspections. Everything was left spotless and well presented, and I had no issues getting my deposit back.
Very reliable service, fair pricing, and excellent results. I would definitely use Brilliant Cleaner again and highly recommend them to anyone needing end of tenancy or deep cleaning in London.

SERVICE NOT DELIVERED &REFUND NOT HONOURED
I’m very disappointed with my experience with this company.
On the day of the booking, one of the cleaners did not attend due to an internal issue, which meant the full service I had booked could not be completed. While I understand that emergencies happen, this was entirely outside of my control.
Initially, I was offered a refund if I chose to cancel, which I appreciated. However, this offer was later withdrawn after I allowed the cleaner who did attend to stay and complete part of the job.
The service provided was not what was originally agreed, yet a refund was refused. This felt inconsistent and unfair, especially as the situation was caused by their own staffing issue.
Although they waived a small remaining charge, this does not change the fact that the agreed service was not delivered in full and the initial refund offer was not honoured.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend their services

I booked a deep cleaning service for my…
I booked a deep cleaning service for my living room + kitchen, two bathrooms, and windows. The company sent two cleaners for 4 hours. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
They arrived late, left early, and one cleaner spent nearly two hours sitting on my balcony. When she finally cleaned the windows, they were left badly smeared.
The overall quality of cleaning was unacceptable. The carpets weren’t moved, trash was left underneath, dust and hairs remained on shelves, toilets were dirty, and the sofa was untouched with pillows left in a mess. The sink had smears, rubbish bins were left unemptied, and the wooden floor now has scratches from an attempt to remove a stain.
To make matters worse, the company wouldn’t pick up my calls. They initially promised to send cleaners to re-do the job, but later canceled, citing a staff shortage. Since then, I’ve been ignored for hours with no response to my messages.
I genuinely cannot understand how they thought this level of service was acceptable. Honestly, you’d be better off cleaning your home yourself than using this company.
