Excellent service from start to finish!
Excellent service from start to finish! Arranging the appointment was very easy, and the work required was discussed clearly in advance, so everything was agreed before the appointment. Everything was perfectly on time and the cleaning was carried out quickly, efficiently and with great care.
Most importantly, the result exceeded my expectations - our bed headboard looks as good as new! Very happy with the service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company for upholstery cleaning.

Very poor service
Very poor service, unprofessional and rude. Firstly, the cleaner Farid was 30min late. Half way through the job he increase the price, although price and what to clean was agreed prior. One big stain was not removed as he didn't know what it was, he didn't even try. He shouted at my wife (unfortunately I wasn't in on the day).
STAW AWAY!
We got in contact with another company who were very friendly and actually removed that stain easily and without fuss.

Unfortunately, your review does not reflect what actually happened during the appointment. As you were not present at the property during the cleaning, we believe your review is based on information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
For clarity, here is what actually happened:
1. We arrived within the agreed time slot.
2. The agreed price was £75 to clean the carpeted communal area. Once the work was completed, our technician asked your partner to inspect the result before leaving and explained why one particular stain could not be fully removed. The stain had penetrated deep into the synthetic fibres and appeared to be oil-based. Its age was also a significant factor.
3. During this explanation, our technician noticed that your partner became increasingly frustrated and raised her voice. Despite this, he remained calm and continued to explain the situation professionally.
4. Your partner then asked why the jute mat at the entrance had not been cleaned. Our technician explained that jute carpets should not be steam cleaned because they can shrink or become permanently damaged. As a professional cleaning company, we could not accept liability for that risk.
Your partner interrupted the explanation, raised her voice and said:
"I DON'T CARE. IT'S NOT MINE. IT BELONGS TO THE F*** LANDLORD. I WANT YOU TO CLEAN IT."
Our technician again explained why he could not clean the jute, but your partner continued to insist. While he was trying to explain the risks, your partner said:
"IF YOU DON'T CLEAN IT, I WILL NOT PAY YOU."
Following that comment, our technician replied:
"I'm sorry, but I'm going to leave because you're being aggressive."
He then started packing away his equipment.
A short time later, your partner returned from the flat and calmly said:
"OK, just clean it please. I was only joking."
By that point, our technician had decided not to continue the conversation and carried on packing his equipment.
A minute or so later, your partner again shouted:
"CLEAN THE CARPET!"
At that stage, our technician noticed that your partner was visibly upset and shaking. He assumed she was having a difficult day and wanted to avoid making the situation worse. He therefore agreed to clean the jute on the strict understanding that we would not accept responsibility for any damage caused and that there would be an additional £15 charge due to the extra work and risk involved.
Your partner immediately agreed to both conditions.
Because your partner had previously stated that she would not pay, our technician asked for payment before carrying out the additional work. Your partner agreed and paid by credit card.
The payment was later disputed with the card provider. However, after reviewing the evidence we supplied, the card issuer rejected the dispute in our favour.
We understand that emotions can sometimes get the better of people and lead to situations they later regret. However, we ask that reviews are based on first-hand experience and what actually happened. As you were not present during the appointment, your review does not accurately reflect the events and is unfair to a small business and to the people who were there.

Great service at a reasonable price. My carpet and sofa got cleaned very quickly. The cleaning was completed in a considerate manner. There was a coffee spot on the carpet which has been completely removed by the cleaning. Recommend.

I sadly had a disappointing experience…
I sadly had a disappointing experience with Silkway. I booked for a deep clean of my apartment along with carpet cleaning - the carpet cleaning was done well and efficiently but the cleaning was very poor with many significant areas of the home looking as though they had not even been touched, including the inside of windows, bedside tables, around the sinks in bathrooms and the skirting boards still had a layer of dust on them. The kitchen bin had not even been emptied. I communicated this with the cleaner when she told me that she had finished but she told me she had already done those areas and her time had finished, so she left. I sent a WhatsApp to the company and they did ask the lady to come back and re-do the missed areas which I appreciated but even then the cleaning was just to a poor standard. I really wouldn’t trust this company with a sanitisation or end of tenancy cleaning as their standard of ‘deep clean’ is very low. Also not cheap as I paid the company more than 2x the hourly market rate for a cleaner in central London expecting a thorough, higher level clean and received the lowest level clean I’ve experienced.
EDITED AFTER SILKWAYS REPLY: absolutely no ‘before and after photos’ or videos were supplied by you at any time. The only videos sent between us were ones I had taken to show you clearly the areas that had not been cleaned, including a windowsill covered in dust after your cleaner had ‘cleaned them 3 times’. After a disappointing clean it is even more disappointing to read your dishonest response to my review. The bin was absolutely not emptied and you did not send any ‘photo evidence’ of this. I did not ask your cleaner to remove black marks from my walls, I asked her to clean food off the walls that the children had dropped (same area I discussed with you at the beginning of the clean and you told me she will clean them). She told me she couldn’t manage to get it off. I then cleaned it off myself after she left, which I also informed you of over WhatsApp. The price was £240 for a 6 hour clean NOT including carpet cleaning as I paid an additional £160 for this. £240 divided by 6 is £40 per hour, the market rate for a cleaner is central London is £18-20 per hour. I hope readers will take heed of your dishonest behaviour and poor quality cleaning and not make the same mistake I did by booking any service with you.

Our cleaners carried out a professional deep clean and addressed all the areas you mentioned. We also provided clear before-and-after photos as evidence. The team cleaned those areas three times at your request to ensure your satisfaction.
The kitchen bin was emptied and relined, and we provided photo evidence of this as well.
You mentioned the skirting boards were not cleaned, but we have a video taken by our supervisor showing that they were.
When you raised concerns, we responded immediately and sent the team back without hesitation, as customer satisfaction is very important to us. On their return, you asked them to clean black marks from the walls, which unfortunately could not be removed through cleaning alone. We explained that these areas would need repainting, which seemed to cause some frustration.
Regarding the cost, our one-off deep cleaning service is not charged hourly. We quoted £240 for a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom property over 120 sqm in Central London, including full steam carpet cleaning. This is the best price you could get in London.
For these reasons, we believe the review does not fairly reflect the service delivered. We trust future readers will consider all the facts.
