Gift arrived late, broken, and cheap
Gift arrived late, and in a flimsy cardboard box with no branding. My husband had no idea it was even a gift until he opened it to find random, cheap and unpopular beers packed in wet peanuts with a broken Bud Lime bottle.
Multiple attempts at a refund or replacement were met with sorry excuses and no resolution.
I was actually embarrassed by the quality of gift I sent my husband for his 50th birthday. Customer service should be ashamed.

Ordering was easy peasy
Ordering was easy peasy. Tax reimbursement was very simple. My lack of 5 stars comes from 3 other components.
1. Not anticipating the arrival date and shipping later than should have. Boxes were ordered 3 weeks ahead of time. We ordered 30 boxes for 8 locations and it created a logistical nightmare since they didn't arrive on time due to a late shipping dates.
2. There was nothing keeping it "cool". Although it can be shelf stable meats & cheeses. Its going from NJ to FL in the heat of Summer and the cheese melted and some of the meats looked questionable and couldn't be gifted.
3. Just from an aesthetics approach, the boxes also don't look like the pictures. It shows the brown craft paper and a nice selection and it was large white styrofoam cheetos and lower quality overall.

He loved his gift for his birthday
He loved his gift for his birthday, but there were couple issues. The chocolate had completely melted and the cheese was also melting. They received package as soon as it was delivered, but with Florida and using USPS it was out for delivery longer than it probably should have been.

Great options
This is my second time ordering from BroCrates. They offer an amazing selection of baskets across all price ranges. Unfortunately, my latest delivery arrived with significant issues. The package arrived one day earlier than requested, and unfortunately, one of the bottles inside was damaged. The resulting leak soaked the entire basket and completely ruined the accompanying greeting card. Despite this issue, I still appreciate the great variety of gift options they provide.

I received a crate with 24 cans and…
I received a crate with 24 cans and bottles of beer. All domestic trash and Mexican brews. It was a gift so I can't fault my nephew but when I called to inquire about the selection they advised they reserved the right to make substitutions if a beer was out of stock. No craft beers or IPAs in the box. Miller lite, Miller, Michelob ultra, Rolling Rock, Pacifico, etc. I would pay $20 for what was sent. Additionally the best part of the gift was the oak box which arrived broken. I would be very careful ordering from this company. There are many better.

Terrible service throughout
Terrible service throughout. Delivery was 5 days late with no apology (and AI customer service) and then they delivered whatever they wanted- NOT the bottle I upgraded to. Then AI stated they’re allowed to substitute. Don’t order from this “company” unless you’re an attorney that enjoys reading policies and disclosures. Terrible company with worse customer service.

No accountability
I bought a crate for my husband, nothing was broken, but he didn't receive it on time which I put a specific date and they said it would get there but took an extra business day, which fell in a Monday so he didn't get it on his birthday. On top of that none of the add on beers that I paid for were in the crate just put in extra random stuff, so what was the point of adding on specific beers and meats if they weren't going to be there. The least they could have done was send a message that they didn't have those beers or meat. Terrible customer service

BroCrates - Not a properly functioning business/service
Hello, This was the single WORST online shopping or gifting experience I have ever had. I wasn't even going to waste my time complaining again but I am sending this on as I believe this business is non-functional and I really don't think they should be conducting gifting services anymore.
Here is everything that was wrong about my order and my experience with the company.
1. This was a gift for a 21st birthday for my son that turned out to be a terrible experience for us.
2. The product was delivered late. It took 6 days-4 business days-this following the site falsely promoting typical 1-day deliveries.
3. The beer selection choices were terrible (6 Bud Light Limes??!!!).
4. I added a custom order of Smithwicks to the order. Not only was that not in the order, nothing even close to that beer was included as an alternative.
5. The order was to include a mini beer barrel. This was not included and was replaced with a cheap cutting board.
6. The costs for the full package of poor beer choices, small samplings of snacks, and the cutting board at over $130 was highly overpriced.
7. It was obvious the customer service via email was AI generated, and not helpful at all, especially in the delayed delivery process. When I called to get a live representative on the phone that person was also not helpful and was dismissive of my complaints about delayed delivery.
I truly believe this business is not functional and should be discontinued.

Terrrible. It went from bad to worse from the gift to the customer service. This has honestly been one of the worst places to deal with. I can't even call it a company anymore because I am not sure it is a real company. I ordered a gift & had it shipped to me so I could wrap it & then give it to the recipient. I am glad I did because I was able to see the gift & it was not what I thought I was ordering. The image I saw advertised on the site & thought I was ordering was not what was sent to me. The card they sent was printed on a piece of paper like a home printer not a professional company. It looked like something a 12 yo did in their garage. Also, there was no box as advertised and the beer was just tossed in a big cellophane bag tied with pink bow with a board at the bottom. It almost reminds me of cheap Easter Basket. No way would I ever order from this place again & I wouldn't have ordered from them to begin with had I known it would be this bad. It is embarrassing to give a gift like this, but thankfully I had it shipped to me & I was able to fix it before giving it to someone. Their customer service it horrible & I dealt with Eden who was no help at all & gave the excuse they didn't have a box or the contents they needed for the gift & had to substitute. I call BS on that. If I could give this place a ZERO I would. I shop often online & this place is really bad & a place to stay away from.

We ordered a brocrate that's supposed…
We ordered a brocrate that's supposed to be St. Patrick's themed, but the selections in the basket as well as the beers were subpar. There was a jar of Great Value strawberry jam, for example, and the beers were picked because they are in green containers but there is nothing Irish about Dos Equis or Rocking Roll Pale Ale, and the crate they were stuffed in was not presentable the way it came, so if this was being delivered to the recipient that would have been terrible. We ended up shopping for Irish beers and better quality food items and making our own basket to gift.

It’s best not to order from this…
It’s best not to order from this company because of their “right” to substitute items. The problem is they don’t notify you ahead of time, and they had ample time to do so, since I placed the order over a week ago. My order (total $199.99) was mostly great except I didn't receive the Oval Live Edge Cutting Board in the order (it was replaced with something of lesser value that was scratched, possibly used) and I reached out to them. I did think the substituted cutting board was part of the shipment to keep the rest of the product safe, that is how lesser value it was (funny, right). They were VERY quick to refer to their “substitution and refund policies” on their website and how I’m not eligible for compensation or refunds. Their response and their business approach left me feeling unsettled. It just feels fraud-ish that they can change an item or an entire order if they want. I can’t name one other company that left me feeling this way especially after I reached out to get it rectified, so that says a lot in my opinion.
I do want to be entirely fair. The decanter and glasses are beautiful, but their response to my concern has forced me to leave the 2 stars. We all know that feeling, where you think, eh this doesn’t feel right. No one wants to do business with a company and feel this way. Just beware.

Complete Bait and Switch!
Complete Bait and Switch!! I ordered the “Double Dozen Beer Crate” for $112 + Tax.
The display on the website showed a “Cool”looking crate, with Beer verbiage on the front of the crate. It looked like something you would keep after drinking the beer. It showed all beers in bottles neatly placed upright in the box. What I actually received was a plain unfinished cheap wooden box, nothing like the picture on the website. The beers were mostly cans, and some bottles. They were just thrown in the box, some cans were dented. Most of the beer was low end brands, Hamms, Papst Blue Ribbon, Micky’s Big Mouth, Coors, Budweiser. Nothing premium, it was probably $20 worth of beer in a plain wooden crate for $112!! When received, I immediately called customer service and explained to them I I didn’t received what was advertised and asked how to return the product they just said sorry no returns. Not even if I wanted to get a different product thru them. Very dissapoimted!! I will never use them again!
