We used Burtons Solicitors once again only this time for a Probate case. Sarah Hopper and Deborah Long were excellent. They kept me updated with the entire process, were always available when I called or emailed, and if I had to leave a message they responded to it as soon as they could. It took all the stress away that I would have felt if the communication wasn’t as good as it was. The whole process was smooth and efficient. I can’t praise the team highly enough and I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

The whole process was swiftly and neatly done without any hassle by the lead Samuel Lockhart and his team . From start to finish, the entire process was handled with efficiency, professionalism, and clear communication. We are really greatful and is 100% recommended

This is the second time I've used Burtons Solicitors. For a leasehold extension seven years ago and this year to act on my behalf for the sale of my flat. On both occasions the experience was really positive. I cannot rate Julie and Daisy highly enough. Throughout the entire process, they communicated clearly and thoroughly, acted quickly and efficiently and were always so lovely to deal with.
The Burtons system/app is also very helpful and easy to navigate, providing alerts for tasks and progress updates.
I will definitely be using their services again.

I would highly recommend Burtons. My solicitor, Esther went above and beyond to successfully complete a complicated leasehold purchase at the bottom of a long chain. She always acted in my best interest and both my mortgage broker and the estate agents commented how good she was. I was always kept up to date by Esther and Catherine. I recommended Burtons to a friend and she too was satisfied with the solicitor she was assigned who also completed her purchase successfully.

My experience with Burton Solicitors has been extremely disappointing and I cannot recommend them.
From the outset, they appeared very money-driven, requesting monies on account for every piece of work. As soon as the balance was used up, they would insist that no further work would be carried out until additional funds were provided.
Leading up to the court date, everything seemed in order, but immediately after the hearing I was presented with a huge unexpected bill of over £6,000. This was despite the fact that I had already been told no further work would be done without money on account.
When I asked for clarification, they refused to provide proper explanations and then insisted that no file would be released unless payment was made in full. They have since stopped responding to emails altogether.
What made matters worse is that they actually resigned just after the hearing, leaving me without legal defence at a critical stage. This was after forcing me to follow advice to attend trial, only to abandon me afterwards when I asked why they did not follow the very strategy they had pressed upon me.
The service felt unprofessional, inexperienced, and lacking in genuine legal knowledge. Much of their work consisted of long emails or lengthy calls which only served to increase billing, while the actual work product and representation were nowhere near worth the fees charged. Nearly £13,000 was billed for a single trial which wasn’t even the final hearing.
In summary, I found Burton Solicitors:
Excessively focused on money rather than client interests.
Unclear and unfair in their billing practices.
Unreliable when it came to critical representation.
Poor in communication when challenged.
This is not the standard of service expected from a regulated law firm. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for professional, knowledgeable, and client-focused representation.

eg: some of the Latin terminology she explained without hesitation. She was empathetic to my disability and wishes. I never felt rushed ar anytime.
Nathalia is a very cheerful, dedicated, and personable woman.
The receptionist and my witness to my signature at the firm, I experienced as welcoming, and thoughtful.
