took my car to Cobourg Canadian tire for a safty check, they put it on the hoist for 3 hours, never took any wheels of never did anything, it just sat there, then said it did not pass the certifacaton, they did not check anything on the car, then charged me $280.00 for nothing, bewere these are crocks

I had booked my car in the Canadian Tire Grandview Hwy, Vancouver, BC auto department for some work - oil change & tire rotation - I was told it would be a couple of hours so I left my vehicle there and walked home. When I got home I had a phone message from them telling me my car wouldn't start. So I called them back and the guy told me that they tried to start my car a couple of times but it just cranks but never starts. I said that's impossible - how do you think I got the car there? Anyway, he then says they can run diagnostics on it to see why it won't start but that alone would cost $175 before tax. I told him I'm not paying that and that I would have BCAA come out and run a diagnostic for free. So I had to walk back to that store and got my keys back and what do you know - my car started right away with NO problem. The BCAA guy and I stood there, we couldn't believe how dishonest this shop has become. BCAA made a note of it and said he would report this to his boss. DO NOT take your vehicle to the Canadian Tire on Grandview Hwy - they are dishonest and will rip you off!!

Don’t shop at the Calgary DALHOUSIE Store !! it's really got very bad managment!

I went there on Oct 14 and bought 10 items for plumbing job I was doing at home, I purchased 10 items, all good.......

I got home and opened the handheld power drill box .... it was no good. The drill shank needs a small silly allen key to change the blade and I don't want it because of the hassle. Closed the box to return it to the store.

The second item was a brass crimp valve for a PEX line, I opened the package, installed it, and closed the value. I went downstairs to turn on the water and by the time I got back upstairs it sprayed water all over the bathroom while CLOSED!!! Not very impressed. I removed it and went and got a real valve from Home Depot. Packed that up to return it as well.

I got to the store and went to the customer service desk and was told that NEITHER item can be returned - only a store credit !!

OK, for the drill it was brand new in the box but according to Austin it was "opened" but it was just a flap. Actually the lady opened the box to check on the contents at that desk but OK sure ......

For the valve, you don't get to keep my bloody money when you sell me a piece of junk valve that sprayed water all over my bathroom. You sell crap - that's a store and supplier problem - NOT MY PROBLEM.

I left the items at the service desk and I opened a dispute with my credit card company ........ just now as I type this review.

I want my $65.98 out of the $264.76 I spent there for the last time........ and yes, I WILL opening a small claims court case if the CC card company won't fix it.

Do Not Buy Electronics from Canadian Tire Stores: Low Quality, Massive Hassles, and Refusals to Refund

I bought two boxes of the Geeni Vision 2K Mini Camera. I found that the video footage was not recorded in a standard video format, but rather in a proprietary application format of its own. This means you cannot play the footage on any other platform other than their specific application. Because of this restriction, I kept only the one box I opened and tested. See the evidence photos.
I attempted to return pristine, factory-sealed electronics and apparel with original price tags intact, well within the official 2-week corporate return window with a valid receipt. The customer service and floor management explicitly refused to process my refund. To prove this local branch's refusal was completely unauthorized and groundless, I took these exact items to a separate Canadian Tire location the following day, where the professional staff immediately processed my full refund with zero hassles. This irrefutably confirms that my returns were 100% valid under corporate policy. I had to travel to other location to get refund.
This is the exact reason why I have written a formal complaint letter to Greg Hicks, the CEO of the Canadian Tire corporate head office, to question their refund policy. Right now, the head office is playing a shifting ball game with the franchise owner of this branch. Just so you know, Canadian Tire is no longer the favorite store we loved 30 years ago. It is being run by franchise owners who do not respect traditional Canadian business ethics and values. Dealing with them made me feel like I bought an item from a shop in a third-world country. The customer service staff are rude and cannot communicate effectively in English.
I have also had a terrible experience with the Beehive 10,000 mAh power bank—a Canadian Tire brand name. It does not provide a true 10,000 mAh capacity and charges devices very slowly.
Canadian Tire does not specialize in electronics like Best Buy or London Drugs. They carry cheap, substandard products, and getting a refund from this Market Crossing Burnaby location is a nightmare. Save yourself the misery, protect your consumer rights, and shop at London Drugs or Best Buy instead for hassle-free, one-month return policies and premium electronic products

I went into the Canadian Tire in Port Perry to purchase an oven cleaner. I barely cleared the entrance when I heard a young person calling out, excuse me. I kept walking and she called out again excuse me, at this point I turned to realize that she was speaking to me. She told me that I am not allowed to carry a backpack into the store and that it’s store policy. I opened my little Kate Spade back pack and showed her that my wallet and my phone in it. This backpack measurement is 10 x11 inches and it’s what I carry instead of a bag. I told her that I am not leaving it with my phone and wallet with my credit cards in it and I proceeded to tell her that they must referring to bigger backpacks that people sometimes carry. At this point there were approximately four or five other customers listening on. She then told me that upon exiting the store, that I would be required show the customer service the inside of my backpack. I went in got my oven cleaner, paid for it and left the store. I was profiled by Canadian Tire. This is totally unacceptable. I was disrespected and this should not be happening.

Dartmouth Crossing, NS. I made an appointment to have oil changed and when I arrived I was told it would be 2 hours. What is the point of making an appointment if you are not taking the vehicle in at the appointment time. We all have lives and work and cannot wait around 2 hours or more, specially when the appointment time was set and I know from experience it takes 30 minutes or less for an oil change. Do better CTC

This company could improve by having more sales like for little tiny 10 of clemtrad paint .They want like $18 for it like you don't have any sales anymore. Even if they are on sale they're still outrageous. Yes I know everything's gone up but come on now. You can afford to loosen your purse strings once in awhile. Or you know, give senior discounts or have a 1975 sale like everything in the store from 1975 the price or something. Watch everything. Fly off the shelves. You'll make money quickly cuz you're getting it for pennies on the dollar when you buy containers full. There's my rant I used to like shopping here but not anymore. There you go. I left a review. Not happy

I like the selection at the stores but my concern is the Triangle Rewards program. Oftentimes an item that qualifies for my rewards offers gets omitted that I have to call them. I just spoke with a stingy Triangle Rewards woman who rounded down the pennies even though the amount was above .0759 and she gave me a lower amount.

Financially you are supposed to round up to the next cent which in this case should be .08. It makes a significant difference when the rewards offer is a multiplier of 20X. She then made an error and added an even lower amount to my rewards account, probably because I tried to tell her she should be rounding up.

After all the trouble of having to call them, this customer service woman was stingy, stingy, stingy. It makes me feel like shopping elsewhere instead--maybe Home Depot or Rona.

Terrible Service no one cares!!!! Oakville Canadian tire and whole corporate team specific name Mani Mahdavian apparently he is a coorporate manager! Not caring about a thing! He said he will call months ago! Still waiting

I was very happy with my overall experience at Canadian Tire – Hillside Centre in Victoria.

I would especially like to recognize "Samira", who was working at the cash register. She was very kind, professional, and genuinely attentive. She has a natural talent for customer service, and the way she interacts with customers really stands out.

Samira was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel valued as a customer. Her positive attitude and professionalism made my experience even better. Employees like her make a real difference, and I believe her excellent customer service deserves to be recognized and appreciated.

Terrible delivery service.
The product is ok, your delivery “service” is an absolute joke. Management seems to have a basic misunderstanding of the customer/retailer relationship. When a customer pays Canadian Tire to have items delivered, it’s on CT to ensure it is delivered. It is not up to the customer to contact the 3rd party transport company. If there is a problem with the delivery, Canadian Tire needs to follow up. NOT tell the customer to call the transport company. Again. Canadian Tire offers a delivery service and takes the money. How it gets to the customers house is not the customers problem and they should not be expected to chase down missed promises and late deliveries.

My go to location, always has amazing deals in store

Your prices are ridiculously high…then yous think you can fool consumers with a hook…Canadian Tire rewards points with that triangle card. Over priced is an understatement! Geez

Couldn't even help with getting a car battery. Screwed up the whole thing. Didn't even understand English.

Store is good but they need better receipts like other stores provide

Pam at the Canadian Tire store on Louth St in St. Catharines was extraordinary! She walked me through the store to help me find everything on my list and took the time to answer all of my questions about the products. I really appreciated all of her help.

Pacific Mall Calgary, Alberta location automotive center I was told by staff the first time when I asked if someone can possibly assist me with the installation of a license plate frame which two of the plastic screws broke off and I needed the remaining stems removed for a replacement. I went up to the front desk with the frame, screws and bolts and he looked @ it dropped the frame on the counter and told me that it can’t be done that they are way too busy to do it and mine you I was the second person in line in the morning.

So that being said I nod my head and went home and scheduled an appointment for the next day. So the next day came to find out @ the end that it costed my dad $95 might I add he’s 89 years old and for a service they didn’t even complete and the worst part was they didn’t even do a simple job as taking the screws and screwing the frame onto the back of the car, then he tells me that they don’t got the screw and bolts for installation and I would have to go to Home Depot to find the screws and fit it myself. What a disappointment with automotive center can’t even finish a simple job and got charged $95 and told us that this is what we can do for you and got handed the receipt what child’s play I tell you again a big disappointment in automotive!

Purchased a ' for living' brand propane fireplace from canadian tire. It never worked from the start. Multiple calls to for living... like they request you do in the instructions... they didn't answer once so I sent an email to canadian tire customer service and that was also ignored. CT just lost a lifelong loyal customer
