My car went bang and it needed to go to salvage. Not only were Car.co.uk offering more than the competition, but they also walked me through the entire process, from booking the recovery to dealing with the documentation with the DVLA. At this time I was trying to rent cars, looking to buy a replacement and dealing with 101 problems caused by my dead car, both directly and indirectly. These guys wear very definitely part of the solution. They delivered on all counts across the board.

Inaccurate quotations.
The price this company quote is based upon certain assumptions regarding the vehicle which they don't reveal until the collection is arranged. For example they quoted £252 for my car but changed it to £54 when they discovered it had more than 80K mileage. In my opinion this is could be avoided if they asked for the relevant information BEFORE quoting a price.

Our salvage quotes are initially based on a set of assumptions about the vehicle. When you update the condition, which you are able to do at the point of booking, the valuation is updated based on the information provided. This can result in the offer changing.
In your case this updated the quote to its scrap value, which is based on the weight of the vehicle and the vehicle being complete with no missing parts.
We appreciate that the revised valuation may be lower than expected, but we hope this clarifies how our quoting process works and why a quote may change when additional information is provided

Outstanding service.
