Obtaining the car finance was quick and straightforward, and I initially had no issues with the company. Unfortunately, my experience regarding the final payment has been very different.
My payment due on 2 October was initially unsuccessful because of the timing of my payday. I settled the outstanding amount within the following week. Despite this, the company issued a default notice on 9 October, just seven calendar days after the original payment date, with my payment and the notice effectively crossing.
I am particularly concerned about whether the timing and handling of the default notice complied with the relevant FCA good practice requirements and whether I have been treated fairly as a customer.
I will therefore be raising a formal complaint and, if necessary, referring the matter to the appropriate regulatory or complaints body. I am also seeking clarification as to whether this incident has been, or will be, reported to the credit reference agencies and whether it could adversely affect my credit record.
Based on my experience, I would urge other customers to avoid this company. There must be much better firms.

The response to everything was quick and the help you get is amazing. I didn't know what car I wanted but after a few short messages I had a good idea of what car was right for me

The worst finance company I have every had the mis pleasure to deal with, take forever to return emails, close the compliant even when its not resolved, refuses to provide details such as complaints managers details and address, incorrect finance agreement, totally the wrong vehicle on the agreement, creates massive financial problems and then offers and insulting goodwill gesture. Avoid this company. Emily in compliant is absolutely useless, does not read emails correct so replies when received do not answer the questions. Compliant current with the ombudsmen. Over 10 emails send and no answers receviced. Just confirm ref your reply you have close the compliant as you believe it resolved to your satisfaction not the customers. It is know in the hands of the financial ombudsman.

Excellent service by this company. Supportive, on hand for help, goes above and beyond. Really impressed!

The experience was very quick and easy. The application took minutes. A few odd requests like photos of V5 & me standing beside the car. That's OK if you are buying the vehicle local.

I’ve had a genuinely great experience with CarMoola. They make the whole process easy and straightforward, with different options available to suit your circumstances. The team are approachable, helpful and always willing to explain things clearly.

Katie was absolutely amazing throughout the process. She was always there when I needed her, and her support made a real difference. Mo was also a great help, and I really appreciate the effort and professionalism they both showed.

Honestly, the team were so good that I genuinely wished I worked with them! It’s rare to come across people who make the whole experience feel this easy and positive. All easy to use on the app. Got to the garage with confidence knowing I would get the finance approved with the rate given.

Honestly have had a fairly decent experience. Customer service has been spot on. I did have to do the same steps twice on two separate days, not sure if a bug in the system or what but it was fairly frustrating. But apart from that it's been pretty pleasant experience.

Clarify better on documentation required to process payment.

Quick and easy to set up and apply, even changing my car choice 3/4 times. The apr rates were better than anyone else could offer. The money transferred to the garage within half an hour, when I eventually chose a car, and on a Sunday afternoon!

Every step took hours longer than it should have, even when I got to the dealership with everything “100% ready to go” It sent a email with the payment instructions to the dealerships social media email address?

Couldn’t get answers of anyone other than ai generated chat bots.
I then embarrassingly had to go sit in the car I was buying and take a selfie of me in the car to prove I was at garage with said car. It was one of the most bizarre and embarrassing situations I’ve been in.

Cant say so far I’m very impressed and will likely review my options to refinance with a different lender sometime in the next couple of years. I’ll give them a chance to redeem them selves.

The whole process was ever so easy, from start to finish to numerous messages to carmoola and swift replies. Would recommend 11/10 👌 thank you very much and look forward to dealing with carmoola in future.

Excellent service from pre approval, through to collecting my car. I was sceptical at first with the lack of phonecall communication, however, the communication channels are seamless. 100% recommend and would never use any other finance company again, I’ll be using carmoola from now on!
