Car24 offered me a staggering $10,000 below the market price for my car. The bloke on the phone sounded so hesitant that he could barely say the figure out loud!

When I responded, “What?”, he immediately hung up. No explanation, no discussion—just ended the call.

I understand businesses need to make a profit, but an offer that low felt like a complete rip-off. Hanging up when a customer questions it is simply unprofessional.

Have posted a couple cars via Carsales and this company gives very low ball offers, first car was listed for 60k and they offer 40k (the car sold for 59k). Second car was listed for 47k and they offer 29k (car sold for 45k). Now another car currently listed for 20k get offered 9k. At first i thought okay that's a bit low ball but now happening another 2 times is a bit of a joke. feel sorry anyone accepting their ridiculous offers and i get it, you want a car gone you accept offers but this is just taking the piss. i was considering trading in the first car to a car dealer local to me that is a different brand and they offered 49k for my car saying "sorry but all we can offer for your car is 49k", hell even carsales instant offer was 53k. keeping in mind that all cars i sold were either the cheapest in my state or very close to the cheapest and still get these stupid offers. Absolute Scum.

Smooth service, hassle free, great experience

From the beginning cars24 try to get from me the lowest price. My car had 1 year old it was an MG5 and was with 9 years warranty left full serviced. We agreed om a price of 14000$ if drop the car from Adelaide to Melbourne. All written black and white in emails and and cars24 message and car fully inspected and papers checked. I drop the the car in Melbourne and then start the problems as they try they best to rediscuss the price while i spend 1 day trip from melbourne to adelaide. They didn't answers the phone and start to play a game between 3 cars 24 agent.... Ended to reduce 500$. It is a shame and i was with family and 2 kids... ridiculous

Cars are advertised without stamp duty and other on-road costs included, so the advertised price is not the actual drive-away price. Buyers should be aware of that upfront.

After purchasing my car, I found multiple features were not functioning correctly. Cars24 heavily promotes its 3-month warranty, but in my experience the process has been awful. I took the car back to them, waited around four hours, and was ultimately told to take it to the dealership instead.

Communication is the biggest problem. They call from different mobile numbers, the support team seems disconnected from the sales and warranty teams, and there appears to be very little continuity between representatives and they make promises to call back which they DO NOT KEEP.

The customer service representatives also seem to rely heavily on generic AI-generated or automated responses. If you are to text or email your "case manager" you will get and AI response instantly, with no option of talking to a functioning human. Should you choose to call them and explain an issue, you will get a response that barely addresses it before they try and palm you off to a different representative and the cycle repeats.

When my original vehicle delivery was delayed by an extra 9 days, nobody contacted me. It took a week of calling every day just to find out what was happening. Had I not called them they never would have told me and I would have been left in limbo. This was all after they had taken the full payment mind you.

The warranty process has been even worse. I was given the mobile number of another staff member, called multiple times and left three voicemails without a response. When I called support again, they gave me the same number and then hung up on me.

Another representative later promised the warranty team would call me the next day. No call came. When I called back again, the new representative had no idea what I was talking about and effectively told me everything depended on one particular staff member eventually getting back to me. Surprise surprise.... I was never contacted.

That sums up the experience. Every time you call, you seem to start again from scratch. Nobody owns the issue, callbacks do not happen, and different teams do not seem to communicate. If the entire support department was replaced with competent representatives this would have been an extremely pleasant experience.

I cannot recommend Cars24, the Melbourne team or the customer service department. If anything goes wrong after the sale, expect to spend a lot of time chasing them up yourself.

I bought a car. A sales person was going to call me back. No one called yesterday or today so far. I booked a virtual demo. I followed the meeting link. No one was on the other end. I have paid for a car outright it failed its roadworthy inspection despite it passing Cars 24 360 points of inspection due to a engine mounting leak. So their inspection was obviously marketing and advertising only in words. Rohit has now booked a new appointment for tomorrow. Im still waiting on a dealer to call me as per Rohita. This is my 4th car purchase during my lifetime and its my worst experience to date. Let's see what happens this week.

Overall an easy experience. Everything regarding the purchase of my car was explained and pricing was transparent. Vansh did a great job communicating the process.
