Castle Trust Bank was launched as 'Castle Trust' in October 2012, and in June 2020 we became Castle Trust Bank – a fully authorised UK bank. We’ve offered fixed-term, fixed rate savings accounts to existing customers since the end of 2020, and launched online savings accounts to new customers in August 2021. Eligible deposits with Castle Trust Bank are protected up to a total of £120,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK’s deposit guarantee scheme. We are also a provider of specialist buy-to-let, and property development mortgages.

ISA transfer lost interest despite instructions, but it was not Castle Trust at fault.
I requested an ISA transfer into Castle Trust from Cynergy to happen when the Cynergy ISA matured.
The transfer happened 1 day before maturity and no interest was paid! I needed to raise a formal complaint with Cynergy bank: they say that they have now transferred the missing interest. Castle Trust were helpful in providing the details of the request sent to Cynergy.

Great Apr, simple to use app!
Really great experience so far with this bank. Pretty easy to set up and deposit money into. Fabulous App, very clear and straight forward. Also works with all the normal Face ID or similar authentication. All in all super impressed!

After transferring 1 yr fixed rate ISA to castle trust bank, the start date of new account for new year was not the day of transfer but some arbitrary date selected. Other banks do.

For Fixed Rate ISAs, the account term begins from the date the account is opened. Interest starts accruing once the transferred funds are received and deposited into the account.

Our e-Savings accounts are designed to be managed online, so we do not send account details by post.
Once your account is opened, you'll receive a Welcome Email confirming your account has been set up. You can then view your account details, including your account number, securely through your online account.
