Cheshire Turf Growers 

Joke of a company running a business off a pack of lies, turf ordered for Saturday morning, never arrived, so called and called, had to leave a voice mail to get a response to tell me my turf would be here at 3pm, because the gearbox in the van had broken, then an hour later got a txt message to say turf would be there at 4pm as they was just on there way back from Halifax, what a crock of ****, told them don't bother and I would never use them again never mind a recommendation

Over 12 months on the 60m2 of “premium“ Turf I bought from Cheshire Turf Growers is in absolutely terrible condition. It is riddled with creeping weeds and infested with small snails. The grass grows in dark patches. It is in a shocking state. This is despite meticulously caring for it, all I have done is water weeds. I am extremely disappointed with it so much so that they have spoiled my garden. I urge people not to waste their money on this company as they are not trustworthy and if a delivery of turf does turn up its likely to be absolute rubbish. My whole lawn needs redoing, I wasted my money buying from this outfit don’t do the same. Read the reviews!!

Placed an order with this company 2 weeks and never received my delivery despite them taking the money out of my bank. I have tried calling daily to speak to somebody but no answer. I have also sent emails and tried to contact through facebook but no reply. I wish I had seen the other comments on here as it looks like other people have had the same problem. Will be reporting to trading standards

Chasing a refund for seven weeks. Excuse after excuse and now im just being blanked. Reported to trading standards and police today and small claims court papers will be submitted in the next few days. Myself and numerous friends and family members will be staking out all the registered business addresses these scam artists have used.
One way or another i will get my money back. Civil action above and beyond small claims has also been set in motion. I get my refund or i ruin them. Its that simple. And please dont give me a bu#$*&it reply about 'not having' me on record. You do, and you are liars. I will get my refund or i will make damn sure i get someones house and car and they do time. I know you read these reviews so make it happen. Fist and only warning.

Ordered turf and topsoil on a Thursday, earliest delivery was Saturday and was told will be about 12 o’clock. Waited all day but nothing arrived I tried all ways to contact them by phone, Facebook, text message. By chance someone answered about 6pm on a mobile number I had been called back on when I placed the order and I was told it would defiantly come on the Sunday. I waited all day and again no one turned up. No communication once again. 2 days wasted and I had to pay for the persons time who was waiting to move the topsoil and lay the grass. I phoned Monday and was told the driver never turned up and they could bring it the following weekend which was no good to me. If the driver didn’t turn up why would you not phone your customers? A refund was agreed I was assured the refund was being done while I was on the phone. A month later I get my statement and see no refund has been made. I called and explained all I was told is I’ve just done it and it will be cleared in a couple days. No apology or explantation. Craig L14 - I was told the driver was a lazy b#astard and never turned up for work. Nothing to do with the weather which was really hot so not sure how you have come up with that excuse so stop making things up. My main issue is no one bothered to call and let me know they wasn’t coming. At least admit when you have let people down instead of posting lies about the weather.

Just laid new lawn, turf is excellent quality, great price. Staff were really helpful & accommodating.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I ordered my turf to be delivered today and was told between 10-11am delivery, they didn’t turn up. I spent 3 hours on hold on 3 different phones to 3 different numbers and they didn’t answer. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until 6pm (last delivery) and they still didn’t show. I have rang my bank and cancelled the payment but I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!

I ordered a turf and payed for it on the 5th of August still waiting for my delivery nearly a month each time I call they find for me excuses I will start legal action against this scammer company
Waste of time I don't recommend to no body

I ordered turf and topsoil on a tuesday for delivery on a friday rang on friday to be told it was being cut and would be on its way shortly, never delivered no answer on the phone. Rang on saturday no apology and told would be delivered shortly, then didnt turn up I rang and got no answer, texted and got a reply saying they had gone to hospital and Id get a refund. Wish I had read reviews as a total waste of time.

Ripped off. Would not use again

I’ve just had a new lawn laid by Cheshire turf growers. What great lads! I had watched lots of videos on you tube to make sure they followed the correct prep (I’ve been burnt may times by bad tradesmen) they did to the tee and it looks amazing. They cleaned up, all good. Would use again without hesitation.

Spent £290 on turf in June with this joke of a company, turf never arrived, loads of excuses, our company was made to look unprofessional when the turf didn’t arrive! Countless calls mad and email and had a promise of refunds have never appeared. DO Not use this Company!!! Used a company called professional lawns in the end and had great service!

Delivery was within stated time (driver very helpful) grass itself has come along wonderfully (the odd patch damaged but more due to myself when laying/walking on it) I would definately reccomend this company.. Brilliant :)

I ordered more than £300 worth of goods from this company and paid especially for next day delivery for last Friday (9th August). The turf never showed up and, despite calling around 20 times to the three different phone numbers that they seem to be operating, no one answered the phone. Finally managed to speak to someone on Monday who told me 'the turf was too wet to cut'. I asked for a refund and was told it would be processed that day so would be in my bank account Wednesday. Surprise surprise no refund appeared.

Called again on Wednesday and was told it had been processed and to wait another 24 hours.

Called again on Thursday as no refund had appeared and was told they would look into it and call me back to confirm. No one called.

It is now Friday 16th August and I have had no refund and now no-one is answering the phone again and the mailbox is too full to receive voicemails. I have messaged on Facebook and commented on their page to no avail.

I feel like I have no choice to report them to Action Fraud and Trading Standards if I have not received my refund today.

Do not use this company.
