Ordered 120 square meters of turf Friday for delivery the following Thursday, excellent quality.
I rang to confirm delivery on the Thursday morning, to which I was advised that it would be with me that afternoon around 3 as they were just harvesting from the field. When it arrived you could tell it was fresh, laid within 3 hours. To complete satisfaction.

Absolutely AWFUL. Ordered turf and topsoil, took the day off work and employed a gardener to lay. Turf DID NOT arrive,I rung many times and fed a pack of lies. I have since read the other reviews, avoid like the plague. Can’t believe they are still in business treating people like this.

Delivered on time on a Saturday as ordered

Ordered turf and soil, sat at home waiting for delivery in the house with my baby, the driver opens my front door uninvited with no warning! I asks him to put the turf and the soil onto the grass in my front garden, driver was incredibly rude and says he can only put the bag of soil in the street as he doesn’t have a crane on the van (who delivers a ton bag of soil with no lifting equipment?) then proceeds to block my entire front path with rolls of turf, I went out and asked him to move it and was met with a disgusting attitude - I closed the front door again and he pulled the bag of soil off his van, tipped upside down onto the pavement and my front garden, gets in his van and drives off. Had to then pay someone with a crane to come and lift the bag up - called the main number and was promised a partial refund, have now been on the phone for 30 minutes waiting for somebody to pick up so I can confirm WHEN I will receive the refund but no one is answering yet - overall awful service from textbook conmen and the delivery driver is one of the worst people I’ve ever had the misfortune to meet.

I am a disgruntled and unhappy customer of Mike Watmore, I placed an order for topsoil and turf like so many of the reviews on his website and trustpilot I am of the same opinion, I just didn't know until it was too late. Mike's attitude is disgusting so I decided to take a look at the other Companies there has been (Watmore Topsoil, Garden Goodness, Complete Lawn Services, Beaver Bark, Big Red Beaver, Mr. Watmores, Cheshire Growers, Weston Forestry services and the list goes on. They say they have a London branch, Runcorn Branch and a distribution branch in Warrington Road, ring the phone numbers and Mike will answer all. The London address is where his daughter lives, the distribution yard has been taken off them, it was rented from Halton Borough Council there is now a 3 ton concrete block in front of the gate and it was taken off them as they and others were using it as a dumping ground, they were kicked off Percival Lane for not paying the rent, as for Bankes Lane which is up for sale there is nothing there.
This Company despite what is on their website they do not grow anything, they have No stock and the yard is full of crap just like their owner. They show machinery cutting turf, I went into this and they are using a website made by National Turf Growers from Devon/Cornwall there whole business is a scam, they take money and do not deliver, people all over the Northwest are fighting to get their money back, I am surprised the Police are not involved AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. We then came up with another Company, so to satisfy ourselves we looked on line for this Company called Cheshire Turf and Topsoil, we had our doubts so paid them a visit, we spoke to the owner never mentioned Watmores and ordered some Topsoil, Turf and Compost, we didn't have to pay anything until delivered, Friday came they arrived on time and dropped the soil and compost, as agreed they dropped off the turf on the Saturday, brilliant service, fantastic Customer Relations and great prices too. We know they are nothing to do with Watmores and will use these guys again. Look out Watmores this guy will put you out of business.

AVOID!!! This has got to be the WORST company I have ever come across. Having worked in sales myself and my husband in the green keeping industry I can honestly say we have never experienced anything quite like it. Promised next day delivery and 6 days later no turf, complete lack of communication despite several phone calls and emails. The main guy who takes the calls is exceptionally rude and to quote 'I'm sick of people ringing complaining about their poxy turf!' It also looks like they trade under Beaver Mulch and coincidentally all their numbers are the same. They say they have sales team but their email doesn't work and I rung both the London office and the Runcorn office only to find out the same guy answers. Still waiting for refund 2 weeks later!! Credit card aware and believe they are scammers. Please don't deal with them!!

ordered from this company and paid for next day delivery, even rang and confirmed that it would arrive the next morning once i had put my order in online. waited all day for delivery - nothing. rang at 3pm said that it would deffo arrive today and he would ring once the wagon was loaded. no delivery.
tried ringing multiple times the next morning - no answer.
do not use this company
wish i had read the reviews before ordered.

The good. The turf is good quality - when you get it.
The bad. Wow. How to run a company with such distain for your customers. In line with others experiences, paid for Saturday delivery, that came and went. No contact. Told on Monday it would be Tuesday. Told on Tuesday it would be Thursday. Finally got delivery on Friday
Driver had no lifting gear so had to help hand-ball
Soil improver instead of top-soil sent. 3 rolls short on delivery.
The ugly. I feel for employees of this company. How they put up with the boss ‘mike’ I’ve no idea. This guy should immediately transfer to Ryanair customer services and that isn’t a compliment.
Recommendation: to save heaping stress on their staff, arrange to collect. That way you get what you want when you want it.

Ps was just charged to collect the 3 missing rolls!!

Ordered turf to be delivered on a Saturday morning. Charged extra for the Saturday delivery. Was assured that the delivery would be made in the morning.

No delivery.

Customer service is non existent and the phone lines go unanswered.

The only silver lining is that I said I would pay in cash on delivery- if you absolutely have no other option but to use these charlatans then at least do that so you’re not faced with having to recover your money.

DO NOT USE

11/4 Ordered 2 bulk bags of topsoil for delivery to my daughter's in Stockport. Delivery arranged for Tuesday 16/4.
16/4 no delivery.
17/4 delivery promised for "this afternoon". no delivery.
18/4 Spoke to very rude male whose response was," It's not the end of the world is it", but who, after pressure, promised delivery tomorrow( Friday) morning.
19/4 no delivery. Quick to take your money; subsequent service non-existent. Not a reputable company by any measure-more like a collection of charlatans.

I experienced similar issues as other people - dodging lawn delivery then dodging doing refund. Was talking mainly with the lady and her boss but both never gave me a call when agreed delivery or refund was not done. Better choose some other company and if you get caught already I suggest contacting bank for payment dispute.

We are happy with the quality and price of both the mulch and manure that we ordered. Deliver was a bit hit-and-miss, but we will give them another go!

Would not use this company again. 5 hours late, didn't call me. No reply by phone and I had to drive to depot to find out what was happening. Truck arrived with 2 x ton bags and no lifting gear ...... nightmare day!

Good quality turf

Promised delivery of turf next day before 10am paid extra 15£ to make sure this will be delivered on time. Next day no delivery no one don't bother to contact you and let you know what going on.After phone call find out they unable to deliver and cut due to weather, has been offered delivery next week only or refund. call them 5 times for refund during 3 weeks still didn't get it. Now going thru my bank account depute team.
Please avoid that company.

No problems at all. ordered 50m2 of turf for delivery to Buxton, driver rang me an hour before delivery to check all was still ok. Ashley delivered my turf and was really helpful with advice and aftercare. will recommend in the future to family and friends

Do not trust this website. Goods don't arrive
