Always get a competitors quote
Despite being a customer for a number of years with no claims Churchill decided to hike up my premium by 48 % and offered the reason as more accidents and more thefts and everyones has gone up which is strange as my wifes was reduced by £120 and we’re on a multi car policy. After making a complaint I told on two occasions that everything was correct and I wasn’t overpaying however when I decided to shop around I managed to get a like for like policy elsewhere for more than £100 less
I called Churchill to cancel my policy and magically the advisor offered me a reduction from £532.03 to £442.61 but too late as I had arranged a new policy but I complained again and queried why they couldn’t have offered this quote in the first place
Now here’s the trick and take note as I received an email saying you have to go back with a competitors quote to have any chance of a reduction in your premium but sadly Churchill failed to inform me of this until I had arranged a new policy.
