Decent enough experience
Decent enough experience; found a mover. However I don't think it gave me a choice whether or not to share my contact details with the companies, so I immediately got bombarded with sales pitches instead of being able to look for myself.

One stop shop for removal companies
From our initial enquiry we received several removal company options that could meet our needs. This was great as it provided an easy one stop shop without the need to ring around other companies. We used Plaza Removals from compare my move who were excellent and we are very satisfied with the whole process.

This website is just a way to harvest your data. I have been inundated with unknown numbers contacting me on WhatsApp and via phone call within minutes of trying to use it to see a list of available movers. There’s no indication that they’re going to pass on your data and seemingly no way to get them to remove your information from their database either. Very unhelpful.

Forces you to add a phone number
Forces you to add a phone number to 'compare' quotes for surveys.
I say 'compare' because it only brought back one result, and didn't even tell me how much it'd cost.
Moreover it asks several times throughout the process of putting details in, whether I want moving quotes or not. One question on this is okay, but after that, I said no, asking me again isn't going to make me change my mind. It's just going to p*ss me off.
PSA to anyone else using the site. 07987654321 works as a BS phone number, if you don't want to be harassed by companies for having the audacity to want to compare prices...
P.S. The company is currently trying to suppress my review and get it removed.
@CompareMyMove, if you look closely at that phone number, it's just 123456789, but the other way round. It's not personally identifiable information.
If you're upset someone circumvented your nonsense blocking of numbers like 07999999999, create a better system. And be more up-front about the services you do, and don't offer :)

In regards to contact details, this is required to ensure our partners are able to discuss requirements in more detail in order to provide their bespoke, reliable, quote. This is explained in the privacy policy and T&Cs on every page of our site, and the form used.
At the time of your use of our site, it appears partner activity was low in your area, which is unfortunate. We only match with partners who are actively looking to match with the public at that given time. They would be trying to discuss their prices with you but cannot without a valid contact detail.
