the two types of cables i have purchased from CoolNovelties over the years were for the Texas Instruments Home Computers both PAL and NTSC and both were always in perfect working order.--also quick delivery!

I needed a specific cable for my CTM644 and was surprised to see they had actually existed and they had them in stock. I put the wrong info for the address, but they caught it and contacted me to quickly fix it. Super helpful and will be ordering from them again in the future.

Purchased cables to connect original Amstrad CPC 464 to modern tv. Included everything except the scart to hdmi converted but with that, it work perfectly. Excellent bit of kit for the nostalgic!!

I ordered and received a "BBC Micro, Model B, Master & Electron to 8 Pin RGB Monitor Cable". The item was dispatched and delivered promptly. The cable is of good quality, and works for attaching a BBC model B microcomputer RGB output to an Acorn AKF-11 colour monitor, which has an 8-pin RGB input. (This monitor also has a SCART socket.)

Good cable (Mega Drive 1 SCART cable with stereo jack). All okay except that their cable swap MD sound channels (the right is on the left,the left is on the right). Just to be clear that was not my tv, I tested my MD with a pair of headphones directly connected to the MD and the channels where they should be -You can use the game OUT-RUN to test it-. I mentioned this to them and I received a reply like “impossible cables are tested before being shipped.Send back for refund” so, I sent it back (bought through Amazon).But well…maybe was my bad luck so I tried again throuhht Coolnovelties website. Same result. What I did? I opened de cable after do some reseach on internet about which one was pin 1 on the scart, which one was left or right cable,which one was for video, etc (not a technician) and soldered the cables by myself (not a great soldering). The cable now sounds as it should. Sent an email with pictures explaining what I did, what was wrong and also added that would be great to have a cable for free with a pro soldering following my notes (After all, I gave them free advice about cable’s problem) Remember, wasn’t in a specific cable ,this was cable number two).You can add that I wasted time sending enails, going and coming to return a cable that was NOT okay from the start. They expressed their happiness knowing that the cable is working as it should be. end… nothing else,nada. So well ,if you buy a cable for Mega Drive 1 and works okay ,is thanks to me.

I am not “unhappy” with the cable (which is well build as I had to open it….even is shielded!). Not at all.
Regarding the sound issue…. look, If I connect headphones were each side is marked as R and L and the sound is reproduced correctly (okay ,MD jacket is NOT the issue)then I tested it on TWO different TVs. Same in BOTH. how can It be? How do you test if it works okay (Talking about sound swapped as sound per se works perfect) Which game do you use? I use OUTRUN for example.

Reference number that was sent to me on e-mail was wrong.
Tried it for more than a week again and again to check it(using the link coolnovelties provided me to do the tracking).
Royal mail did not accept the reference number as valid.
Sent an e mail to the company and never got a reply.
Product is paid and still NOT received.
Why should I give them any stars?
In fact what they deserve is a zero star grade.
Update.
Received the item today.(Around two weeks after the order was made)
Second reference number I was sent was working as expected
( but only after I posted a negative review.)
Haven't test the item yet(very little time available )but I believe it will be smooth.

I recently acquired an Amiga 500. I tried using the modulator which was horrible. Looked up cables and found these guys to say the quality of the image was better than expected is an understatement. The cable feels really good, The condition was excellent and the craftsmanship is spot on, value for money is great and the appearance of the cable is very good and well presented thank you very much you exceeded my expectations. I feel 14 again!!
