I am really enjoying my experience …
I am really enjoying my experience taking Corexcel's Medical Terminology. The only reason why I picked 4 instead of 5 stars is because I recently found out that the program has been skipping sections of the chapter. I picked up on it first when I was having some trouble with some of the study materials such as the crossword and practice test in the Cardiology chapter. Normally, I will transfer the notes into a word document for future reference and when I was searching for answers, they weren't in my notes. I realized I missed many sections of the reading. Then, I noticed another part was skipped in the Immune System chapter. From now on, I have to be careful this doesn't happen again, and I'm not sure why it's happening. Also, the videos are very helpful, especially the ones of the woman explaining extra information, but I don't know why certain topics aren't discussed in the reading as well. I can take notes from the transcript, but if its important enough to talk about in the video, it should be important enough to mention in text (i.e. Chapter 5 Components and Functions of Blood video about albumin, globulins, fibrinogen, prothrombin, etc.)

In my experience
In my experience, the website was difficult to use and was often down or slow. Sometimes I would have to switch browsers mid session because the site would start to move really slow, or wouldn't open assignments all together. The class layout was confusing to me as well, and it just was not clear what I had to do, how things worked, or where to turn in assignments. I am relatively tech savvy so I was hesitant in contacting help, but a huge positive was the employee who I interacted with via e-mail- Marilyd Santana. She was exceptionally helpful and responded very quickly to all of my e-mails.

I'm pleased to see Marilyd was able to help you but we never want our customers to feel like you do. Can you tell me if it was the course that was slow or our website? They run on different servers and I'd like to look into this problem. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what operating system and web browser were you using? I'd like to submit your feedback to the publisher and often these details help them.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee load times because connection speed varies based on location, computer hardware, software, browser versions and many other factors. We monitor our speeds regularly but there are several games, videos, animations and other media than can be resource intensive. We may have to dial back, or optimize, some of those features.

I thought this was a very good course. It was more in depth than I expected which was a good thing. The staff that I interacted with was knowledgeable and nice! I will use Corexcel for future courses.

DiSC is considered to be extremely valid and reliable but unfortunately no psychometric tool is perfectly reliable or valid. The test-retest situation was measured when the assessment was being developed. Good course, small issue
The course is in depth and very good about giving explanations and definitions. Most of the activities are helpful and easy to understand. My only issue is that with the image labeling, it doesn't tell you which ones you got wrong. It only gives you a percentage of what you got correct. I think it would be better if it said which ones were wrong so that the student could figure out what was actually wrong and be able to correctly identify everything from thereon.

Thank you so much for your feedback. You are 100% correct. The course does not show the answers after a test is submitted. We thought it needed to be set up that way because of the multiple test attempts. Having access to the answers makes it easy for students to gain an advantage over the testing system. While the order of the test questions is random with each attempt, often the same questions are asked. I know it can be frustrating but please understand that we made the decision with our students in mind.
