Tamicka - if our $15/mo product no longer works for you, please give us a call and we can help you get set up with a shorter-term product or our open-ended REVOLV product (which has an annual fee but no set end date like our INSTAL products).
Our long-duration $15/mo product is designed to allow you to build an affordable line which will eventually positively impact your age of credit. The older and more established your credit lines, the better when it comes to your credit profile!

Great credit builder, however it takes forever to report to all three credit bureau’s.

waste of money
It is ineffective and takes half of what you pay. Customer service said the interest rate is 12% on payments “like a normal loan installment”, but in reality it’s 50%.

Nicole - we're sorry to hear about your experience. Everyone's credit profile is different, so the impact that CreditStrong's products have on your credit profile will vary.
The amount of your payment that builds savings vs. is allocated to interest each month, like other installment loans, starts off weighted towards interest and shifts over time to be weighted towards principal (savings). The best products for our customers to quickly build savings are our Build & Save products or our REVOLV product, where 100% of your optional monthly payment goes directly to a savings account.
Our Build and MAGNUM products are longer-term products that are not ideal for building savings at an accelerated pace.

I've been with CS for almost a year and a half now and my Credit score has went up a good amount. They have a very helpful and responsive customer service team and email you several reminders so that you're not late making your monthly payments.

SCAM
I opened a small account a few years ago and thought oh this would be a great idea to open a larger one and have a little something growing. Well my husband died and I just couldn't afford to pay the 110 any longer. It takes a while for the "dust to settle" when someone dies. So i closed the account and I had paid 1000 in and they took 500 for "interest"!!!!

Our MAGNUM products are designed to build large amounts of credit, and they are long-term products, with 120 month terms. As with any loan, in the early months of the product your payments will be heavily weighted towards interest, and transition towards principal over the term of the loan.

I truly recommend credit strong for anyone who is trying to rebuild credit. I myself have had so many new doors open up since joining. I gained right at 100 points since joining, thanks for helping me get my credit where it needs to be. I now have very good credit. I could right a book about credit strong but I won't, just know it takes time but the progress surely pays off.

I wish I have read the reviews before I have opened an account with them so here's what happened I have opened and Magnum account with the witches $10,000 and it is just because the website has seemed to be legit and after a month I have got charged for the first payment and there's nothing has been reported yet to the any credit bureau and obviously they don't report anything they just take your money and that's it

Burak - new credit lines may take time to appear on your credit profile based on how long it takes each credit bureau to update your account. Rest assured that your installment account and payment history are all reported each month to all 3 bureaus.
You'll see the line on your credit profile as an installment account from Austin Capital Bank, the 5* rated independent community bank that powers CreditStrong.
DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM
Wow..... I opened up the biggest accounts they have to offer, 2 of them, and I've been paying $110 a month on each. I've paid $1,210 and this is the amount they said im getting back. In total $622.39.
I opened up these accounts because I was in a desperate situation where I needed some help to build my credit. I didn't know they took advantage of people that bad. If they would've told me I would be paying 52% of the money I deposited I would have never opened the account. I would have just used that money to get a secured account or something. Theres better alternatives than this.
They took 52% of the money I've been paying because of "interest"
This should be illegal. Ive never been ripped off this bad. Theres nothing that can justify paying this amount towards interest.
I can't talk down on them completely because they do perform. They report to the 3 bureaus and it did help my score out. They're very responsive. But to charge that amount is absurd.

Depositing is a cinch with them, super easy.
Come time for your savings account to be unlocked and for you to withdraw however, another story. 2 weeks of back and forth with them to no avail.
Make sure you don’t ever have to get a replacement debit card (even though the transactions with them were unrelated and never disputed) - guess I’m just counting down the days until they officially violate EFTA regulations and open themselves to some well deserved civil action.
