Absolutely Egregious Loan Qualifying…
Absolutely Egregious Loan Qualifying Experience. $220,000 in W2 salary and they couldn't get me approved for a $404,000.00 home.
Customer service is poor
Customer service is poor. Don’t waste your time with this one.
Worst Customer service from a Lender…
Worst Customer service from a Lender ever. Run, don’t walk from Team Galvin, and especially team member Matt Nelson who was highly unprofessional and rude. It was so bad that we had to reach out to his Branch Manager, Mr Galvin. And although we received an email from him stating he would rush/expedite things, that never happened. Between this company and Pathways Title, no one was willing to pick up their phones or return calls. Overpromised and under-delivered!
Don't even get on their radar
Don't even get on their radar. They'll call and email you relentlessly from several numbers, for years.
I have seen a lot of bad reviews about…
I have seen a lot of bad reviews about Cross Country Mortgage, but I am sorry to say that is not true because my experience with Cross Country Mortgage, with my Senior Loan Officer Mr. Ryan West
was the best he is very knowledgeable able getting the job done. Let me be the first to tell you that God out people in your life for a reason you may not know the reason but trust and believe me he knows the reason why I say that because a year ago I got in contact with Mr. Ryan West and I wasn't believing that I was able to get a house. But look here we are a year later and I am about to close on my house you see how God works I tell all you have to do is trust the process and it doesn't hurt to have some like Mr. Ryan West in your corner either. Ryan, I want to say thank you very much for being patience with me and allow me the trust the process. I know there are a lot of bad reviews on the website about Cross County Mortgage being bad for business, but I am here to say that they delivered for me I am about to close on my very first house. Thank you God.
I can give 1/8 for this place .
I can give 1/8 for this place .
I never reached out or contacted this mortgage broker. They continue to call and call my cell . Please leave us alone. Your company is harassing daily . I have kindly replied to “stop” calls but they continue. DO NoT USE CROSS COUNTRY mortgage !!!!! Read these reviews —— I agree
RUN AWAY!
bought a place in Florida and cross country mortgage unfortunately, is our lender. We have owned probably 10 different pieces of real estate in our life, paid mortgages in full and on time and have never had a hassle. We both have excellent credit scores (above 800). We were part of the hurricane Ian, and therefore received a large amount of money from our insurance company who is very generous but because we have a mortgage cc mortgage holds and disperses the funds. Every single question I have for cross country mortgage turns into a nightmare. I think they have the rudest staff of anyone around. One dept does not know what the other departments are doing. Everyone has to transfer you and miraculously there is never a manager to speak to, and they never call back when requested. There is zero accountability. My loan was in deferment, but they continue to take my mortgage out of my checking account. It was pulling teeth to get my insurance payments from them even though the amount we are putting back into our place is twice what we received from the insurance company. I asked to get rid of my PMI insurance, and that was mixed up. There is not one thing that goes right. I turned them into the Better Business Bureau, and I still never received a phone call but lots of letters responding incorrectly. All I’m saying is runaway runaway runaway. It is the worst Company I’ve ever dealt with across-the-board bar none. If I could give a minus 10 I would.
High rates, high closing points!
If I could, I would give a 0 rating. I contacted Cross Country regarding a cash out mortgage. The man was nice, provided a quote and I signed some initial documents. I did not upload all the information at that time. A 2nd company called, offered a rate of almost 1% lower and $1000 less in closing fees. I contacted Cross Country, left a message for the person I was working with and sent him an email I would be going elsewhere. The next morning, I was notified the FHA case was filed. THEN he contacted me and asked what was going on. That was over a week ago. The new mortgage company has been trying to have the FHA case transferred but Cross Country has not released it. They are unresponsive to phone calls, emails, etc. I was finally told it should be 48 hours from when the email request was received. It took 3 days to find out it needed to be requested by email!
Anyway, I am sorry I ever started working with this company.
Stop calling me!
Stop calling me!
I made 1 inquiry about refinancing in January and since then I have been inundated with daily phone calls from this company. I have asked nicely multiple times to be removed from their list and yet they keep calling!
They are untrustworthy and will lie to…
They are untrustworthy and will lie to get your business. CrossCountry and the builder were supposed to provide 5K towards closing costs but when I locked in my rate, and interest rates went up past 6% while mine stayed at 4%, they refused to pay anything toward closing because - and they admitted this to me - it would make them lose money. It was in my contract that if I used their approved lender, I would get the 5K, but only the builder stuck to his portion of the 5K and I had to come up with extra cash the day of closing or lose the house. Up until that point all documents still listed the 5K on the closing documents so it was a bait and switch.
What a way to do business!!!
If I could I wouldn't give any stars. I asked to be contacted by cross country mortgage and yes a man called the next morning. When he called he asked me about 4 questions and when I answered the 4th question which is if I currently had a mortgage on my home I said no. Well he just hung up on my. What a way to conduct business. Smh. Because I don't owe anything on my home I'm not worth talking to. I wanted to know about the equity and home improvement loans or the options I could have but because I don't owe $ on my home I was even worth speaking to. Wow I just feel so discriminated against. Yes I did file a complaint not that will do any good but I should of at least been told they can't help me or something. Not just hung up on. This is just so disrespectful.
I contacted a mortgage loan officer…
I contacted a mortgage loan officer around the 18th or 19 of January to let him know I would like to proceed in moving forward with his assistance in getting me pre approved for a home loan. He asked for the documentation for him to review so I emailed him the information. I didn’t hear back from him until January 31st. Additionally, I received an alert from Experian that he attempted to access my credit report without my consent on the day he tried to get back in touch with me. After having moved on to another mortgage company that approved me, he spoke to my realtor about my financial profile by which I did not give him authorized consent to do. (Midlothian, Virginia branch)
This company along w/ DMI is absolute…
This company along w/ DMI is absolute the worst. They practice unfair and illegal consumer and trade practices and deny even when you own the home and deed is in your name by county clerks info! Disgusting, shady, nefarious and the absolute worst company to deal with. They've totally mismanaged my acct & try to blame it on the fact that they merged or were bought out by DMI 8/18/22. Do not use them!!
If I could give 0 stars
If I could give 0 stars, I would! HORRIBLE experience. We were lied to multiple times with this company on a cash out refinance. The documentation required is absurd. The property is owned free and clear! I have purchased 3 properties and have never had the issues that we have had with CC. I will NEVER recommend or try to use this company again. Very poor customer service and management
This company is definitely guilt of…
This company is definitely guilt of discriminatory practices. It seems that their mid-western offices are there to obstruct the process for borrowers who are non-white. We have documented dishonesty, extra scrutinization, a lack of transparency regarding their processes and their requests.
If you are ignoring their reviews like I did, stop doing so. The last mute curveballs and request, coupled with price gouging are VERY real aspects of their business dealings.
RUN!!
Highly recommend reading all the other reviews on better business bureau (BBB) and other websites before trying to start any type of loan process with cross country mortgage. They will extend closing date as long as possible in order to collect as many extension fees as they can. This is not an honest company to deal with and their poor ratings across several websites proves this. Highly recommend to stay far away from this company
The worst mortgage company I have ever…
The worst mortgage company I have ever experienced. Lack of professionalism with every person I have spoken with. They have withdrawn multiple duplicate payments, refused to refund, and charged me TONS of erroneous fees. I will never work with them again. Not worth it!
What Your Escrows
What was a great mortgage processing and underwriting experience, and what was thought to be a great closing experience was trash. Three months after closing learning that your mortgage payment increased because the Closing/Funding Team of this mortgage company failed to calculate our escrows correct. This lender is now getting a higher mortgage payment than I would've paid had they been honest. This lender is not honest at all.
CrossCountry Mortgage - Wished I Had Found Them Earlier!
I don’t usually write many reviews but am so pleased with Gina Myers and her team (Gladys Reyes and Stephanie Mejia) at CrossCountry Mortgage that I wanted to share my experience. Now that I have closed and looking back, I couldn’t be happier and wished I had used Gina and her team for all my previous home purchases and refinancing (two previous home purchases and four refinances).
After getting a bit frustrated with the lenders I had been speaking with, I asked my realtor for a recommendation and she pointed me immediately to Gina Myers at CrossCountry Mortgage. After an email introduction later that evening, she called and we spoke at 9pm, and I sent her my information that same night (I was planning on putting in an offer very quickly). By 9:30 the next morning (!!!) Gladys had sent me several options and detailed information for each one, allowing me to not only make a much better decision financially (I had been working with and looking at options with other lenders), but also to quickly respond and put in a winning offer in an extremely competitive environment. They were extremely responsive to all my requests, re-running calculations and giving me updated projections and financial options, often in as little as 15 minutes. They patiently and thoroughly answered each of my questions and diligently provided regular updates twice a week throughout the entire process, and Gina herself would check in periodically to make sure all was going well. Regarding the user experience, I loved the ease and presentation of their comparison sheet, which included a video of Gladys explaining the information so I could review it as often as I needed and at my own convenience. Their secure online portal for receiving, sending, and retrieving all the necessary documents and reports was very easy to use as well.
I closed in only 26 business days, with everything completed well before the scheduled closing. What really made the user experience so efficient and satisfying was the total team process and their close collaboration with everyone involved - the title company and realtor - so everyone was always updated and current every step of the way. Most importantly, I believe I received the very best financial option - one of the lenders who called to see if they could beat the offer I ended up selecting (they could not) even made the comment that the rate couldn’t possibly be real and I should make sure it was in writing (it was and it is! 🥰). Absolutely smoothest and best experience EVER!
I was hit by a tornado
I was hit by a tornado. When that happens the insurance company sends all the money to your lender's loss draft department to release to you as repairs are done.
My experience with CrossCountry through this process has been awful. They take days to respond or do not respond at all. When they do they email you documents that make you feel like youre drinking out of a firehose.
Ive had 3 homes with 3 mortgages. I always setup autodraft and never thought much about there customer service.
This disaster has shown me how it can be important and i wish I had another lender.
