Hugely expensive renewals, I managed to get the same level of policy for 1/3 the price. Not easy to cancel the policy. Never had to claim so cannot comment on that aspect.

Try to reduce premium to around…
Try to reduce premium to around previous years amount. To be told that the new underwriter would allow additional discount.
Went onto a compare website to processed the same policy from prious years and infact only paid an additional £2!!!

I can see that you spoke with my colleague William, who did look at the available options for your renewal.
On this occasion, the renewal price offered was the best we were able to provide. Due to price capping rules, applying an additional discount would have actually increased the price, which meant there were no further changes we could make.
I appreciate that this isn’t the outcome you were hoping for. Unfortunately, when price capping applies, it can limit how much flexibility we have with discounts, even when we’d like to do more to help.
I’m sorry we weren’t able to offer you a better price this time, but I do hope you’ve since been able to find cover that works for you.
