I’ve been considering fitting a mid-drive motor to my mountain bike for some time now, but was reluctant to fit a Chinese made kit due to the lack of local support.

I therefore decided to spend a little bit extra and buy a kit through Cyclotricity, and I’m very pleased that I did, as Elaine was able to answer all of my pre-sales questions about the kit and subsequently, any questions I had regarding the installation.

The installation was very straightforward, but I did have to purchase some longer bolts and spacers due to my bikes bottom-bracket size. It would have been nice if Cyclotricity could have provided these, but they were easy to source online.

The performance of the kit is great, with the torque sensor providing a natural sensation to the boost provided by the motor. So far I’ve been on a couple of test-rides, taking in some of the local steep hills, which I would never be able to climb without the additional boost from the motor. Despite the very hot weather, I’ve arrived back home without being tired and still smiling !

Great kit, works brilliantly, easy to install as long as you read the instructions, arrived surprisingly quickly and Elaine at customer services couldn’t be better. Extremely receptive and helpful!

I bought cycotricity stealth ebike and an ebike kit over 10 years and the bike and kit are still working. Over the period, my queries have all being answered promptly. Great customer service and thanks Elaine for your help.

Utterly incompetent company, they sent the wrong wheel and have not collected the wrong order nor provide a return label even though I offered to take to post office. They taken my money but offered nothing to resolve this issue or a replacement. Avoid!

There was a problem with the order as the LED controller was missing. I don't blame Cyclotricity as such as this could've been a supplier/delivery problem. However, Elaine was extremely helpful and prompt in sorting this issue. I received the controller a few days later, and everything works as intended. Exquisite customer service overall, thank you!

I contacted Cyclotricity to ask a technical question about a product: one of their staff, Elaine Macanas, emailed a reply in less than 24 hours, which was concise and provided the details I needed.
Elaine has answered queries that I have sent in before, and has been unfailingly helpful, efficient and polite.

It took more than two weeks, bike arrived in a box that was wide open. The bike itself was scratched, bent, and missing a lot of parts. When I reached out, they refused to replace, simply blaming DHL for poor handling.
The assembly was a nightmare; I had to physically hammer and bend the frame back into shape just to get it together. To make matters worse, there were no screws, no paperwork, and no warranty included. The manual is the worst I’ve ever seen, it has photos of five different bikes, none of which is mine. I paid for a 16Ah battery and got a 14Ah. This bike is not made in the UK, it’s a collection of parts you can find on Alibaba, except on Alibaba, you at least get actual customer support.

I bought an E-conversion kit for our tandem from them about five years ago. The whole process was very smooth and the staff were very informed and helpful. After about 800 miles, the motor failed and as it was out of warranty I had to bear the cost of the replacement. The “new “ motor has now done several thousand miles with no problems at all, though the plastic battery-connector has started to crack now, so I have had to replace that. All in all it is a good product, and I would be happy to recommend Cyclotricity.

package arrived slightly damaged but all the contents were okay and in working order. I had some questions which Elaine answered very promptly. System is relatively easy to fit and I had tested off -road in restricted and derestricted (wow!) modes. Only complaint is that the connecting wire powering the motor could be better protected from sharp corners at the entry point into wheel.

Delivery of the Cyclotricity kit was sporadic and uncoordinated. It took the best part of a month before |I could start to assemble the kit.
Subsequently I have the following problems with the kit:
1. LCD display difficult to programme - the english translation is poor. Cannot programme the KPH/MPH function.
2. The motor cuts out when riding - both on throttle and PAS.
3. The rack battery is poorly designed and does not allow for standard clip on/off panniers to drop on to bars which are too big and too close to the battery.

Our bike did not work any more, and no bike repair was prepared to repair an e- bike they had not sold. Bur Cyclo Tricity offered help immediately. They knew what was wrong. For little money we bought the broken part and repaired it with the help of cyclotricity. Now we have a perfect bike again.

My bike pannier rack was damaged by a pothole, but I was able to get parts not listed on the website sent to fix it. I appreciated the good service and attention that I received.

We have had two bikes from Cyclotricity a few years ago, both of which are excellent. Mine needed a new battery and absolutely no issues with the ordering of it or the price. Unfortunately they were let down by their next day couriers, DHL, who took several days to get it delivered, trying to take it to the wrong address on one occasion, but Elaine at Cyclotricity was incredibly helpful and stayed 'on it ' until it did finally get to me, so I can't fault their customer service.

A big thank you to Elaine, from Cyclotricity customer support, who was very helpful in enabling me to fit a previously purchased new battery to a push bike previously fitted with a e-bike conversion kit.
It took a while to identify the right piece required, but I always felt that Elaine was supportive and progress was being made.
It did help to receive the fitting manual to be able to highlight the part required and to use the correct name for the part (which turned out to be a battery base plate).
I would encourage Cyclotricity to update its website to ensure that either it is possible to purchase a base plate or base plate with a pannier rack as a separate item on their website and to ensure that it is clear this is required as an additional item when buying a conversion kit with a rack battery.
I have mended the bike.
It works well.
My wife is happy.
I am happy.

I have bought a Beast which was working fine until there was no more electric power. After talking with Cyclotricity, they found out that the controller was involved and replaced it immediatly.
