Stay away from Dainese eshop

Shame, shame, shame

I sent 3 messages to customer service about the product received without any responses not even automated one.

I decided to go through the return of the product and proceed with correct size. They do mention that the expenses are covered buy the customer and by surprise I found that to send them back I have to pay more than the jackets price which was sent by free shipping. I tried smaller box, but by reading the section where it may not be accepted and sent back by my expenses again I abandoned that option.

Unfortunately later on my purchase I read all these negatives for them inside trustpilot and I decided to write my experience as well.

And as a guy from Sweden stated in here is crazy for modern world such a big company tonwork their eshop like that.

My order number was 25201282 and from what I saw they answer through trustpilot to several other negative comments but they do not sweat to help customers who spent minimum 200 euros in their store.

Last but not least the said jacket I bought, is stated as winter one with thermal protection but is for sure not even close to that. Waterproof yes winter at the tropics maybe, winter in Europe wear it and say high to hypothermia.( Ignite 2 tex).

After this supringly bad experience from mother shop and after reading how they treat all treir customer I for sure will not buy again from their eshop not even from physical store and give all my current gear from this so called brand to friends, relatives or trash bins.

If you like gambling order.

dainese worst on line experience ive ever had …

dainese sells products in canada online and has a /ca website - they indicate that items are returnable but nowhere does it indicate that until you try and get a return started that the items have to get shipped back to italy !!! wtf !! i have reached out to dainese customer service and its the worst ive ever seen - slow repsonse and never deal with the actual issue - i am going to go back to my banl and fight the charge

Unzuverlässige Service, Finger weg von Online Bestellungen

Schlechtere Service als Dainese hat wohl nur die ITA (Alitalia). Dass Dainese überteuert ist, ist kein Geheimnis. Aber bei diesen Preisen eine anständige Kundenservice wäre ein Muss. Zum Glück gibt es genug zuverlässige Anbieter für hochqualitative Motorradkleidung. Ich werde ab sofort von anderen Anbieter bestellen.

Warranty activation and Customer Care

I wasn't able to activate my warranty for my new AGV helmet via the website and I reached out to their Customer Care team.

Andrea responded immediately, clarifying the situation as was super helpful and prompt with their responses - took care of my issue and solved it for me immediately.

Great job and service! Dainese team, whatever you are paying Andrea is not enough - they deserve more and I hope they are rewarded accordingly.

N’achetez pas d’airbag moto Dainese

N’achetez pas d’airbag moto Dainese, en particulier le modèle Smart Jacket. En dépits de son apparente qualité de fabrication, il manque cruellement de fiabilité.

Le système d’allumage magnétique tombe régulièrement en panne. De mon expérience je dirai qu’il ne supporte pas plus de 300 à 500 séquences d’allumage/extinction. Si vous roulez le week-end uniquement, vous n’aurez pas de problème avant plusieurs années. Pour moi qui roule presque tous les jours à moto, ça signifie que le dispositif de mise en marche tombe en panne à peu près une fois par an.

Il y a d’autres témoignages que le mien sur internet qui parlent du même manque de fiabilité avec la même périodicité annuelle de panne et dont la seule solution est de passer par le service après-vente.

Ce ne serai pas un problème si conscient de la faiblesse de ce produit Dainese faisait preuve de flexibilité quant à la prise en charge de ce soucis récurrent même hors garantie. Il n’en est rien car même si le changement de conception du système d’allumage de leur nouveau modèle le Smart Air prouve que le système du Smart Jacket a nécessité un reengineering, Dainese et mon distributeur Motoblouz me refusent toute prise en charge même partielle. Pire selon moi, si je fais réaliser la réparation contre 170€, ils ne me fournissent aucune garantie que je ne vais pas avoir la même panne dans 300 à 500 nouvelles séquences d’allumage/extinction.

Moralité, pour moi il est hors de question d’investir davantage dans ce Dainese Smart Jacket et considère désormais avoir jeté 500€ par les fenêtres en raison de ce produit inabouti et du manque de considération de son fabriquant et de son distributeur. Il n’est pas envisageable de dépenser 170€ par an avec toujours l’inquiétude du non-fonctionnement de l’airbag, ce qui est un comble pour un produit censé apporter de la sécurité.

En résumé, évitez d’avoir à faire au service après-vente catastrophique de Dainese. Aussi, évitez leurs produits technologiques qui semblent manquer de fiabilité et en particulier l’airbag Smart Jacket.

Enfin, méfiez-vous de Motoblouz qui n’a pas su défendre mon dossier vis-à-vis de Dainese et qui continue de distribuer ce produit qui risque fortement de tomber en panne si vous faites partis de ceux qui vont l’utiliser plus de 300 à 500 cycles.

Mon historique :
- Novembre 2022, achat 500€.
- Mars 2024, première panne d'allumage, pris en charge en garantie.
- Février 2025, premiers symptômes de la seconde panne à venir avec des allumages intermittents, refus de prise en charge en garantie par Dainese contacté directement.
- Novembre 2025, seconde panne complète d'allumage, refus de prise en charge en garantie par Dainese, devis transmis par Motoblouz de 170€ pour réparation sans aucune garantie que la panne ne se reproduise pas, je cite : « En effet, celui-ci n'étant plus dans la durée légale, le fournisseur ne s'engage pas sur le sujet, j'en suis navrée. ».

Une honte

Après une chute mon airbag dainese a fait le boulot et s est déchiré sur le côté. Le prix de la réparation plus cher qu un neuf et cerise sur le gâteau si vous ne faites pas réparer le devis de 40€ et pour vous .

Auszug meiner Antwort nachdem ich die dritte Mail vom Dainese-Service erhielt:

"das ist nun die dritte Mail von Ihnen und sind immer noch nicht in der Lage mein Problem zu lösen, in dem Sie mir für die rechte Seite ein ca. 15 cm längeren Gurt zusenden.

Jetzt fragen Sie nach dem Händler und dem Kaufbeleg, was Sie bereits in der letzten Mail hätten tun können.
Ihre Frage, ob ich bereits versucht habe die linke als auch rechte Seite zu verlängern, macht mich fassungslos.
Was Sie sicherlich meinen ist, ob ich die Verstellmöglichkeit des linken Gurtes genutzt bzw. ausgeschöpft habe. Das zeigt, das Sie nichts verstanden haben. Übrigens, würden Sie ihr eigenes Produkt kennen, dann wüssten Sie, dass nur die linke, lange Seite der beiden Gurte verstellbar ist. Die rechte Seite dagegen nicht.
Darüber hinaus empfinde ich die Frage, ob ich die Verstellmöglichkeit des linken Gurtes genutzt bzw. ausgeschöpft habe als anmaßend und unverschämt. Sie unterstellen mir mit dieser Frage, dass ich nicht in der Lage bin die Gurtlänge zu verstellen.

Ich bedanke mich bei Ihnen, dass Sie mir die Entscheidung abgenommen haben, künftig keine Produkte von Dainese mehr zu kaufen!"

Don't buy, customer service sucks. never refunded

Im a new rider and customer. Bought the Drake 2 pants and they were far too big. I returned them and Dainese never refunded me. I messaged them and they gave me excuses and a date and then past that date, they still, to this day, haven't refunded me. I had to open a case with my bank. This brand is not worth the trouble unless you know your size, I'd never buy from their website or stores ever again. They could at least refund me so I could have gotten different pants but they ignore you and keep your money. There are better brands to buy from

Paid but never received full order, no refund, no return process

I am very disappointed with my experience ordering from Dainese.
I placed and paid for order #25131047 on August 3rd, 2025. I received only part of the order, and the items that arrived did not fit. I immediately asked how to return them to make sure I was within the 15-day return window, but I was told to wait until the rest of the order arrived before the return window would begin.
The remaining items never arrived. After waiting a long time, I reached out again, and customer care confirmed that the missing items would not be shipped and promised me a refund within 3–4 days. That refund never came.
Since then, I have followed up multiple times to ask both about my refund and the return of the items I did receive. My messages are now going unanswered.
At this point, I am out of pocket for items I never received and cannot use the ones that did arrive. It has been well over six weeks since my purchase, and Dainese has failed to provide either the products or the promised reimbursement.
I want a full refund and clear instructions to return the items I did receive. Until that happens, I cannot recommend this company.

AVOID ordering from this company

I hate to write bad reviews on companies, but please stay far away ordering online through the website, especially TCXboots.com (which Dainese owns)

I ordered over a week and a half ago, selected 5-7 business days and my item still hasn’t shipped. I specifically ordered these for a weekend ride.

I have reached out to customer service multiple times to see what’s going on and I basically get canned responses that “you’ll be updated when the product has shipped”. It should not take this long to ship an item and the company should keep its work to 5-7 business days. Additionally, they mention it could take 5 business days to “process”. Well it’s now been 7. I am now generally concerned that I will never receive anything. Looks like I’ll be contacting my financial institution.

If you don’t believe me, do a google search of Dainese customer support and read all the horror stories.

Bad zipper

Ordered a one piece dzip suit on outlet sale + labor day, great price after the sales. However after it got delivered, the zipper for the right leg was completely disconnected and unusable. I hadn't even put it on to try yet!!! I called customer service, after a wait, I was sent an email to reply too with photographs and wait for a response to get a refund and special code to buy it again, same price. Response ETA was 3 days max. It has now been 1+ weeks and I really want to get a track day in before seasons over. I've made the decision myself to now take it to a seamstress for repair, and even the seamstress herself said its ridiculous it came like that at all and Im having the neglect I am for the money I've spent. I'd recommend if you buy from here 1, know your size exactly, go up one size from what you measure. 2, prepare for a defect apparently as you'd think they'd do look overs on such pricey items. I will be weary buying from dainese again, as this situation has been quite disappointing.

As my previous review.......avoid at all costs. I see they have tried to look helpful on here by replying to negative comments.....however the reality is they HAVE NOT replied to me by email regarding an exchange stated in the reply here below..... they are still ignoring me and there official response is still "not our problem"

And they just block you and your emails to customer services just end up "failed to deliver to recipient as the host does not exist"

So my review still stands......and you can see clearly on here that many many others have had the same experience as me.

Avoid this brand! The sad thing is I actually bought direct from dainese on purpose so as to not be possibly ripped off or let down by other means of purchase........and wow! I seriously regret it

Qualitätskontrolle und Kundenservice ungenügend

Ich habe einen Helm von AGV (Dainese) bei einem Händler gekauft. Die Oberfläche des Helm wies seitlich Risse auf, gegenüber hat die Oberfläche Blasen gebildet.

Klar, dass der Händler hier in der Pflicht ist. Trotzdem hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass der Hersteller Dainese, den ich bezüglich der mangelhaften Qualität (inkl. Fotos) angeschrieben habe, diesbezüglich mal Stellung bezogen hätte!

Aber wie so oft im Geschäftsleben wird nur versprochen ("...sollten Sie weitere Fragen haben, stehen wir Ihnen gerne zur Verfügung"). Pustekuchen! Keine Unterstützung, auch auf Rückfragen keine Antwort. Bei Dainese streckt man den Kopf in den Sand und schiebt alles auf (den unzuverlässigen) Händler. Nichtmal eine Händlerliste gibt es!

Bedenkt man, dass der Hersteller selbst einen fabrikneuen Helm in einem solchen defekten Zustand ausliefert, ist es einfach...UNPROFESSIONELL!

I purchased a jacket from Dainese which…

I purchased a jacket from Dainese which arrived with noticeable fading on one side. I contacted Dainese to request a discount, as I was happy to keep the product but did not feel it was reasonable to pay full price for an item that was clearly faulty.

Instead of offering a partial refund, Dainese advised me to make a long-distance claim. This would require me to cut up the jacket, dispose of it in an “environmentally responsible” way, and then provide photos of the destruction before they would issue a full refund. The only alternative they offered was to return the jacket, which they themselves would likely destroy.

This approach is highly wasteful. The fading is a cosmetic issue, not a safety concern, so there is no reason the jacket could not remain in use. By refusing a discount, Dainese is effectively insisting that a perfectly wearable jacket be destroyed—contradicting any claim of environmental responsibility.

I have made a reasonable offer: to keep the jacket at a reduced price, allowing the company to recover part of the sale and prevent unnecessary waste. Unfortunately, Dainese has rejected this, choosing instead to encourage destruction of the product.

As a customer, I should not be expected to pay full price for an item that is below standard, nor should I be asked to participate in needless waste.

Sehr durchwachsene Erfahrung

Der gute Teil zuerst: der Service in der Filiale (hier München) und die dortigen Mitarbeiter sind erstklassig. Leider mussten wir am Ende mangels Verfügbarkeit online bestellen. Das einzige Produkt, welches wir aus dieser Bestellung behalten konnten (MTB Knieschoner für ein Kind) war zwar preislich eher im oberen Bereich, grundsätzlich aber scheinbar gute Qualität. Aber: die Webseite ist eine technische Katastrophe, ständig geht irgendetwas nicht, man klickt z.B. auf einen Rückenprotektor, es erscheint eine Jacke. Alle paar Minuten wechseln die Preise und Rabatte - mal kosten die Produkte UVP "X" mit Rabatt 20%, dann wieder UVP "Y" mit 50% Rabatt - sind aber trotzdem teurer als vorher. Warenkörbe werden wiederholt gelöscht, nachdem die Zahlungsdaten eingegeben wurden und ein "internal error" herausgegeben wird. Die Passformen der Artikel passen hinten und vorne nicht, die Knieschoner für einen völlig durchschnittlich gebauten Neunjährigen passten dann, wenn man sie in der Größe für 13/14 Jahre genommen hat. Ein Teil der bestellten Artikel kam gar nicht an (kommentarlos) - im Nachhinein wurde mitgeteilt, dass die angeblich lieferbaren Artikel scheinbar doch nicht im Lager waren... Und der Versand bzw. die Rücksendung... alles läuft über Mailand - der Versand über DHL Express. Express klingt ja erstmal gut, ABER: keine Ablagevereinbarung gilt, die Fahrer tun sich mit Zustellungen an Privatadressen schwer, und am Ende stehst Du erst mit einem Retourenlabel wo "DHL" drauf steht sonntags vor einer Packstation und nichts funktioniert, weil's Wirklichkeit DHL Express ist. Und am Montag das gleiche nochmal in der Postfiliale, wo der Mitarbeiter Dich auch gleich nach Hause schicken will weil das Packlabel angeblich nicht gültig ist. Wann jetzt nun die Rückerstattung kommt - wer weiss...

Dainese has finally given me the reason to stop trusting big name brands. I never read reviews on them till I've had my share of experience and come to see so many bad reviews. People say bad customer service? I'm questioning if there is service at all.

Edit: 09/03/25 - of course Dainese would respond to this review and say to "reach out" and when you do, you'll get no response if you already paid for the item. However, you'll get service if you haven't bought anything yet.
