I am extremely disappointed with Daraz Sri Lanka. This is honestly the worst online shopping experience I have ever had, and I have used shopping apps in several countries before.
I faced serious issues with three different orders:

My first big order was placed on 16th March 2026. Shortly after placing the order, I suddenly had an unexpected SIM issue and my phone number became inactive. This was not intentional at all. As soon as I noticed the problem, I contacted Daraz customer service immediately to update my contact number.
But Daraz kept saying it is impossible to change the phone number, impossible to update delivery details, and impossible to help in any way. They only kept repeating the same thing: wait and contact the courier. If they had advised me to cancel the order early, I would have tried, but they never suggested a proper solution.
The biggest problem is Daraz’s system itself. Daraz does not allow adding an alternative contact number. They only allow one phone number, and if that number becomes inactive, the entire delivery fails and the customer is left helpless.
When tracking was updated, I contacted the courier services myself. Only one courier service managed to deliver my package by contacting my active number. But the rest of the packages were returned without delivery because the couriers could not reach me. Most courier services did not even properly try to contact me. The result is: my packages were returned while I was waiting for days.
Now I am waiting for returns and refunds, and this whole process is extremely frustrating.
Customer service was the worst part. I contacted Daraz repeatedly through live chat and calls. I spoke with three customer agents, and none of them solved the issue. What shocked me is that some agents actually declined my calls without resolving anything, and I have proof of it. Two agents were extremely rude and unprofessional.
Another unbelievable issue is how carelessly Daraz handles complaints. I raised a complaint for the first order (especially regarding an overseas item). After discussing the issue with an agent, I later received a reply saying the package has already been delivered, which was completely incorrect and honestly ridiculous. It felt like they did not properly check the details and simply gave an automated or careless response without reviewing the full order status.
It looks like they only check basic tracking or a general status instead of investigating the real situation.
Even after this horrible experience, I still trusted Daraz and placed two more orders, thinking the phone number issue was the only reason. But those orders are also delayed. The estimated delivery dates keep changing, and nothing is moving. The delivery date has already passed.
Another major issue is that Daraz shows different information in different places. The app gives one estimated delivery timeline, and the email gives another. The system even says “sorry for the delay,” but Daraz agents still keep repeating their own timeline without giving real clarity.
One of my orders included groceries and overseas items. Daraz delayed the entire order based on the overseas delivery timeline. This makes no sense because grocery items (like cheese) should not be delayed for weeks just because overseas items are included in the same order.
Overall, Daraz is unreliable, stressful, and their system is poorly designed. Their customer service is useless when an exception happens. Customers are completely helpless.
By the end of all this, after wasting so many days, calls, chats, and effort, I felt completely drained and emotionally exhausted. This experience was genuinely overwhelming.
I strongly do NOT recommend Daraz Sri Lanka

I am writing this to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with Daraz. I have placed four different orders and made the full payment upfront, yet I haven't received a single item. It has been over two weeks now.
The tracking shows that the items have already arrived at the local hub/branch, but they are not being delivered. The promised delivery dates have long passed. When I contact their customer support, I only get the same repetitive, irresponsible answer: "It will come soon."
This is absolutely unacceptable. They take your money and then fail to provide the service. Dealing with Daraz has become a total waste of time and energy. If you value your money and peace of mind, stay away from this platform. Their delivery system and reliability are at zero level!

Cant even give 1 star. This is the worst online delivery platform I ever seen. Not like earlier days now even s small package take at least 3 weeks to arrive. Every time when you call them they says will deliver tomorrow.
daraz seller support bad supervisor
I am a Daraz seller. Today I contacted the help chat regarding an issue with my 3 orders not appearing in the seller hub, and I also asked whether I could change the Koombiyo courier to DEX. However, the chat agent was unable to explain how to make that change, so I ended the chat.
Shortly after, I received a call from someone who introduced himself as a Daraz supervisor. He asked about my issue, and I explained that my 3 orders were not showing in the seller hub. He advised me to enter the correct district in the address, which I did, and the issue was resolved. He then ended the call.
Since I had packed and labeled all 3 orders but was unsure of the next steps, I contacted the chat support again for guidance. While the chat agent was assisting me, the same supervisor called again. This time, he asked me in an angry tone why I was using the chat again. He repeatedly questioned me in a disrespectful and uncomfortable manner, making me feel as though contacting the chat support was a mistake.
I strongly feel that this behavior from a supervisor is unprofessional and unacceptable, and I am submitting this as a formal feedback.
Received Fake Item Instead of Watch Worth LKR 13,267
I ordered a watch worth LKR 13,267, but instead I received a C-type data cable worth around LKR 100. This is completely unacceptable and very disappointing.
It is hard to believe this was a simple mistake. Before delivery, how many people are responsible for checking whether the correct item is being sent? There should be proper quality control to prevent this kind of situation.
If this happened to an elderly person or someone who does not know how to use technology properly, they may not even know how to make a complaint. This kind of incident makes customers lose trust.
I made a complaint by phone on 17th February 2026, and I was informed that someone would come to collect the wrong item. However, today is 22nd February, and no one has come to pick it up. The online system shows that pickup was attempted on 18th and 19th February, but no one actually came. This information is completely incorrect.
My wrong item is still with me, and the issue remains unresolved after 5 days.
I am extremely disappointed with this experience and expect an immediate solution. Based on this incident, I cannot recommend ordering from Daraz again unless this matter is properly resolved.

Repeated Delivery Failures & Poor Customer Responsibility
I ordered cat food on the 8th, but the delivery was repeatedly delayed. Today was the last delivery date, yet I was informed it would take two more working days. This is the second time I’ve faced such an issue—previously, a parcel was marked as completed without delivery. There is no responsible officer to handle complaints properly. Very disappointing service. I do not recommend Daraz.

I ordered some books through the app and two of them were stolen by the delivery rider (kegalle) Don Lakshan.The parcel was clearly cut open when he handed them over.The kegalle collection point never answer the phone even to check about our ordera or anything. They just ignore all the calls.
After a lot of struggle and wasting time I got my refund. I presented all the evidence to the head ofz and they also agreed that this person stole the books. But the sad thing is again after two months they send me the same delivery rider to my home.
I don't know why they still keep thieves and send them to our houses. I don't feel safe interacting with thieves and exposing our loved ones to them.

I am very disappointed with the Daraz supplier - Lanka Polythene the equipment store. I ordered a High Back Leather Office Chair from the Lanka Polythene the equipment store via Daraz.lk website. I paid for the item online via Daraz.lk website. The next morning, I received a WhatsApp message from the Lanka Polythene The equipment store asking me if they wanted to speak to me. When I spoke to them, they said the Daraz delivery company cannot attend to collect items from their warehouse in Wellampitiya due to floods. However, if I cancel the item in Daraz or if they cancel it, this supplier can deliver to me at my home and they can accept cash. I said I am not in a rush, and when Daraz is ready to collect the item from their warehouse, I will accept it. Then the person said they will speak to their manager and get back to me. The next thing I knew was that the supplier, Lanka Polythene The equipment store, had cancelled my order. The Daraz emailed me and informed me that "We regret to inform you that the item(s) from Order 222768522878399 as listed in Order Details below has been cancelled due to Wrong Price or Pricing Error."
Clearly, this supplier has cheated on me on this product, and also, in my view, supplier cheated on Daraz as well, as they try to sell their product cash on delivery without going through Daraz.

I have been confirming an order for two weeks. But I still haven't received it. Not satisfied with the service. They don't respond to phone calls. I would never choose this.
Daraz.lk won't honour warranty
I have been a customer of Daraz for years and have always found them to be reasonably priced, prompt and reliable until recently. First they refused to do anything about one of their sellers who refused to honour a warranty. I did not make too much of a fuss as the item was not very expensive.
Now they are refusing to honour their own warranty, on a much more expensive item.
I purchased two instant hot water heaters through Daraz. One is working fine while the other one has failed after only 2 months. Both items have a 6 month Daraz warranty. When I filed a claim, this is the response I received:
"Dear Customer,
Thank you for reaching out regarding your warranty claim on the order # xxxxxxxx".
After reviewing your account history, we noticed multiple refund cases which have raised concerns regarding the claim.
Therefore, we regret to inform you that we are unable to proceed with the warranty..."
Are they intimating that I am filing a bogus claim? Based on what evidence? They have not bothered to ask me to return the item for their examination nor sent an agent to look over the item. This is the worst kind of customer relations.
Be very careful of Daraz warranties. They are fraudulently attaching warranties to items that they have no intention of honouring.
Low quality
I ordered a pair of shoes from DARAZU because the website photos looked nice and high quality. However, when I received the shoes, they were completely different from what was shown online. The quality is not what I expected, and I feel it’s not worth the money. I have already posted photos comparing the product I received with the website images. Very disappointed with this purchase.
