JOKE OF A COMPANY!
A few phone calls double checking the price of a airport pick up and got given a quote "inclusive" of the parking. Driver picks us up informing that we need to pay for him to get out. Even though we already pre paid for the trip. Speaking to the office and they even admitted on the phone the price that they gave us included parking but then tried to deny it. Absolute shambles of a company leaving the sub contracted driver short! Bang out of order on your part data cars! I feel sorry for the driver who picked us up. Won't be using data cars ever again!
Terrible experience - unreliable and useless
Driver arrived late not due to traffic but him leaving late – we only got the notification he was enroute 10:30 when he was due to pick us up at 11 but was over an hour away when he left. As a result 4 women were on street waiting for cab in north London when the whole reason we booked the car was for safety. When I got in the car I could see he has the right passenger details with correct address but after 40 minutes of driving he was clearly in the wrong place and he tried to take us to Woolwich and not Lewisham. He admitted he put in the wrong address and then proceeded to take us to the destination which was over 20 minutes away. He drove so fast and without due care that 2 of the passengers proceeded to be sick when they got back to the house. The whole experience was terrible and we felt unsafe
Shocking
Shocking! Booked a taxi from London City- gave our flight number the taxi turned up exactly when the flight landed (called us when the wheels had only just touched the tarmac) we were then tasked with finding the driver who wasn't in the designated pick up point and as we didn't recieve the drivers contact information we had to call the base meaning a back and forth trying to get in contact with each other- eventually he turns up in the pick up area of which we were then told to pay for it- which we were fine with. To then be told half way through the journey that we have to pay waiting time (undisclosed amount!) which was a third of the price of the full journey because the firm hadn't allowed for getting through customs and baggage like all other taxi firms! We passed numerous data cars advertisements on the way home of which claimed that data cars dont surge like other companies.. clearly they have other cheeky ways of getting money..

I ordered a cab from these and they charged me double the agreed fee and when I tried to pay by debit card the driver wouldn’t accept it and told me that it was cash only! Definitely won’t be using these con artists again!
Terrible service
Terrible service, sneak charges in and don't explain what they are for, All drivers are self employed so are expected to recover addition costs themselves and as a result have to deal with unhappy customers, whilst pocketing overpriced taxi fares, shocking business don't use.

Datacar booking is an issue which caused a lot of stress. Will not be using it again.
Lots of excuses. Not as smooth as it has been before.
Even though flight details and mobile details given, we were told no information given to the driver or the customer. No instructions for meeting, except a car registration. Not good.

On the 7th of February, I ordered a taxi from Data Car Sidcup, for my friends to travel on the morning of the 8th to the Hounslow area. The company informed us that the fare would be a maximum of £70, possibly less. We accepted the offer, and a Bangladeshi driver in a blue car arrived to pick them up.
However, upon arrival at the destination, my friend called me, distressed, saying the driver was demanding £150. After several back-and-forth calls and a great deal of hassle, my friend managed to negotiate the fare down to £80.
This company, along with the dishonest driver, turned what should have been a simple journey into a nightmare. Based on this experience, I feel they are neither a reliable nor a safe option for travel. They are not very safe to travel anymore, though I have been using them for a while.

DREADFUL SERVICE.. pre booked and paid for a cab from Gatwick to home.. after a long day of travelling we landed and arrived at Gatwick.
No cab… when we called we were told it was 1hr and 30 mins away! Had to buy food and drink whilst waiting and we were then charged an additional fee of £6 waiting time by the driver !!! He was 90 minutes late!!
Tried on app to get refund which is intentionally hard to navigate and get a refund, will never use them again

If I could give Data Cars zero stars I would, this company is totally disgusting, this is the second time I booked a cab for my 89year old mother, on was for a hospital appointment driver turned up too late. The second time was today my mum managed to get an emergency appointment with the doctor I booked a cab for her a couple hours in advance for 3.30, 3.21 I call data cars asking where is the cab only fr them to tell me the driver will be there in another 20 mins or so, which is no good as my mum will miss her appointment, this company don't give a damn about their customers, please people try not to use this company they are a rip off too. They use to be good at one time. Never will I use them again. Too many dodgy things go on with those drivers, avoid at all cost.

I've given one star only because I can't give a minus!! Waiting on doorstop for pre-booked car - only to receive a voicemail 5 mins later - not even a call - saying driver's there! Called company immediately only for them to tell me the driver left because I wasn't there. Completely untrue and extremely stressful as car booked to attend medical appointment. Response on call "you can book another car it might take 10 minutes or more." No way can you describe this as a service!!

I can’t even give them 1 star. Never use this company. They scammed me out of money. I spoke to the company, they refused to help me and told me to email. Got no replies from multiple emails and calls. The driver forced me to pay him via transfer more money.. I was threatened. Data cars didn’t care at all. I was a female on my own. DO NOR USE, they support criminals and are unsafe. Very disturbing.

Pre booked a car to pick me up after a concert on Saturday night.
At the scheduled time I rang to check it would be arriving soon. Was told it was one minute away.
Ten minutes later I rang again and was told they would be dispatching a driver shortly - a half hour wait.
By this time it was midnight.
I’d pre booked the car for 11.30 pm.
I ended up cancelling and having to make my way home alone by public transport- the very thing I’d tried to avoid by pre booking a car.
What makes it worse is that this the 4th time I’ve pre booked a car that wasn’t dispatched until I rang to say it was late.
They don’t care at all either.
Used to be so reliable but definitely won’t be using again, and would recommend you don’t rely on them if you don’t want to be left stranded.

Something has happened to Datacars…
Something has happened to Datacars recently. They used to be punctual, and often in advance of the time which was reassuring especially when going to the airport. For the last two times they have been OVER HALF AN HOUR LATE with no apology which is very stressful. We have fed back to Datacars on their website to improve service, (eg getting drivers to check where pick up location is) but no acknowledgement. We want to continue to use a local business but this lack of sense of service is making it very difficult to do so. Sort it out Datacars!!

Pre booked a trip at 13.15 for a 19.00 pick up. At 19.00 the app advised that a driver had been allocated but he was 15 minutes away. Then each time I checked he was getting further away!. Called office and they said driver would be 8 minutes. After 10 minutes, called again and was told he was 8 to 10 minutes away. A driver then called and said he had been allocated the job, but was still on his previous job and would be 18 to 20 minutes. So clearly I was being lied to. After yet another call a cab suddenly arrived within 5 minutes. So basically over 30 minutes late. What is the point of pre booking if the bookings are ignored and why do the office staff just blatantly lie. This isn't the first time that Data Cars have let me down and I won't be using them again. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They are rubbish.
