AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. I pre-booked a minicab to pay by card to Heathrow airport. The driver was absolutely lovely. 10 minutes later as I went through a busy security and check in, I was being bombarded with phone calls from data cars saying I haven't paid. I said I selected the card option when I booked. She proceeded to say I should have paid cash. If this was the case, why did the driver not inform me when I was IN the cab BEFORE I left?! I offered to pay by card over the phone there and then. She said this wasn't possible and wanted me to send the payment to a random bank account. I asked for this as an invoice so I knew it was official, she refused. I then received threats from the woman on the phone saying she was going to ban be from their services and contact local cab companies to blacklist me! She proceeded to hang up the phone on me. All whilst I was at the airport already quite stressed! I have NEVER in my life been treated so disgracefully when the fault was entirely due to a fault in THEIR system! Never use the firm, they should be investigated!

Absolutely shocking service. Cab was booked for 5.45 well in advance, we called at 5.45 and was told 20 mins, 2 drivers were assigned and both disappeared, when we called back after 20 mins they said it would be another 20 mins. We cancelled and used an alternative but arrived late for my daughters birthday meal. Never again

I booked a taxi with Data Cars today and they are a disgrace. I would rarely write a complaint but they were so unprofessional. When I booked I specifically said that I need to pay with credit card for my taxi to Gatwick. They said that is fine and will send a link. Never received a link. Driver picked me up and said he thought it was a cash booking and to call the office. They then said it was a cash booking and I had to pay by cash which I didn't have. They then told the driver to drop me off wherever as I could not pay. Keep in mind this was half way into the drive They actually told him to drop me off wherever! Unbelievable! I won't even bother telling the rest but don't book with this company

Terrible service
Terrible service prebooked days in advance and still did not arrive on time…I was told it was 5 minutes away (when it was already 20 minutes late) and sent a link to track then the can disappeared and said waiting for driver to be assigned! Called the office to be told it would be a further 15 minutes…had to cancel in the end what a joke never again!
Extra charges, abandoned my possessions
Arrived on time but then tried to charge more because one bag went in the footwell rather than the boot. Ended up with the driver unloading my belongings onto the street and driving off, leaving them there whilst I was carrying another item (that he refused to take) into the house.

Previously used Data Cars, rarely on time but I allow for this in the booking time. Today pre-booked for an 8:15 pickup expecting to arrive 8:25 but nothing phone told minimum of 25 mins before a driver will be available 8:45 driver phones to say he will be at least 15 - 20 mins. The appt being attended was 9:00 so the cab was so late I cancelled and found alternative transport. Got told I had an attitude problem for being annoyed. God help us paying customers.

I’ve used Data Cars for years. Never again! Took my booking then failed to turn up. Nearly missed my flight. Absolute dreadful service, the company clearly cannot service it’s customers, steer clear.

I was initially reluctant to book with this company due to poor reviews however I gave the benefit of the doubt. Twice I called for a quote for a LHR pick up and was told £55-£60 and after the driver completed the journey he wanted to charge my husband £94, what utter crooks! Is this company so oblivious to the bad reviews on how they are treating their customers or is it that they don't really care. Bad reviews spread like 'wild fire'. You'd think they'd take heed being as at this present time, loads of companies are closing down. I will now spread the word to all that this company is extremely poor. Do not waste your time and money people!
Do Not understand the concept, "Pre booked."
Rang and booked a return journey for 18:00. The car we required was a 6 seater. That is why we gave them 2hr notice.
Confirmed that they could do the job.
At 18:15 no sign of a car. Rang up and asked, what was happening. Told to be patient. It would be along presently.
Rang at 18:50 to be told they were struggling to find a 6 seater car available and they were still looking for a driver. Considering the journey in question was going to take an hour, we said that this isn't good enough.
Cancel both journeys.
Get a call at 11p.m saying that the cabbie is waiting outside the venue. He was suppose to be there at 10:30p.m Explained to the driver the situation.
Than I receive a further call at 11:10 p.m saying that they can't find a driver. Next one will be available at 12.

Then she said it could be another hour ..could barely understand what lady on phone was saying and literally zero care that I was mad and demanding to know where my cab is ….avoid avoid avoid they will leave u stranded and not give a crap at all !!!!

Ride to airport pre-book 3 days ago and after an initial call informing around 15minutes delay, followed p by a second call to inform about further 45min delay0 and final call 1 hr after were they cancell completly the booking leaving me on the street at 5am with not many options

Our elderly FIL flew to London to visit his newborn grandchild and we booked and paid for airport transfer from Heathrow. Obv we provided all flight details as requested, so when the flight was unfortunately delayed by 2h the company was well aware of it.
The driver picked him up and already appeared disgruntled, however FIL doesn't speak English fluently so couldn't really communicate well.
20mins from home, the driver stopped the car next to an ATM and told him he wouldn't take him home unless he paid him 65euros for the wait (knowing he didn't have any pounds). FIL got really scared so called me and I spoke to this extremely rude driver who initially said he'd run out of fuel, and then said he wanted more money for the wait and hung up!
The driver then called my husband and asked him to transfer him some money via online banking, when my hubby refused then he hung up and had him called by the office who explained we had to pay extra for the wait. The office didn't even blink at the fact that we had the driver blackmailing our FIL at midnight at 20mins from home!
Our FIL ended up getting extremely scared so he gave him cash and finally got driven home.
This was Monday evening and it's Wed noon and haven't even received a follow up call from the company to ask about the awful experience and offer a refund for the £60 paid online plus 65 euros paid in cash.
We are considering a referral to the police as this was totally unacceptable and frankly criminal behavior.

Assault by Cab Driver
This is the WORST cab company. The cab driver physically assaulted us (pushed and punched) and tried to take our belongings because we queried the price of our fare. We paid him but he wanted more but that was not part of the initial agreement at time of booking. When we called the head office to complain and get help they just laughed at us and refused to call us back. NEVER use this company, unless you want to be traumatised.
they let me down three times in two weeks
I have been using Data Cars for about ten years and it has been good until recently. Last couple of weeks was a disaster - they let me down three times. Three times I booked a taxi well in advance, allowing extra 20 minutes for a local travel that usually takes under 15 minutes. My online orders were not picked up and I ended up calling Data Cars, chasing for a taxi again and again only to find that "there were no taxis in my area". The taxis did arrive 30-35 minutes late each time, after five or more phone calls from myself. Three times I was badly late for my daughter's classes, losing £35-40 each time. Complained to Data Cars and the response was something like "we will investigate, our sincere apologies, we have no control over drivers, we are just a coordinating service, and drivers did their job, no refund/compensation should be expected". Interestingly, Data Cars claims they provide "fast, reliable and efficient service" taking no responsibility if they fail to provide that service ... I am wondering who is willing to take a risk using the service that is consistently half an hour late?

I am really worried for me being late going to the airport and I need to catch my flight asap. My order from the previous companyI ordered did not came. Luckily, Datacars saved my day. I came to the airport on time and did not missed my flight. Their driver is friendly, professional and knows what to do as well as their controller. I really recommend them.
