We absolutely love Deer box. When our usual supplier of venison mince went out of business we tried a few alternatives, Deer box being one, and the family are unanimous that Deer box tastes the best.... Toon meer

Wild venison meat harvested ethically and sustainably, delivered to your door. Be part of the solution and help UK biodiversity by eating super healthy wild venison at home. Wild venison is a delicious, healthy and extremely sustainable protein. The UK countryside has the highest levels of wild deer ever recorded and the effects of these high numbers is having adverse effects on the UK countryside, biodiversity and other wildlife. Wild venison is not farmed, totally free ranging with no medicines, steroids or feeding supplements. Wild venison is a light and delicate meat, low in fat and contrary to belief is NOT strong flavoured. Wild venison is easy and quick to cook and can be used to replace traditional meats such as beef and lamb in every day recipes from steaks to curry to Bolognese. Deer Box brings you fully FSA inspected wild venison, sustainable and ethically harvested and expertly butchered delivered direct to your door. What makes Deer Box different is that all the venison that is inspected and butchered is only taken directly from estates and deer managers. So not only do we know where each animal came from but the venison is listed by species and cut. Why? Because it matters and we believe that the customer should be fully informed. Select standard boxes or make up bespoke boxes with the species, exact cuts and sizes that you require. Orders are dispatched twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are delivered on a next day service to your door. With no minimum order value and free delivery on orders over £120, Deer Box is extremely flexible and offers the largest choice of venison in the UK. The venison is excellent, I keep coming back for more.
The venison is excellent, that’s why I keep coming back for more. Really helpful staff too who put together a perfect order for me.
My only complaint, the choice of delivery partner. In my area DHL are very poor. This time they arrived a couple of hours after their delivery window and simply dumped my order on the front door step without knocking. I only knew it had been delivered when I received an e mail.
Not the fault of Deer Box but I wish there was an alternative to DHL.

I have been a regular and faithful…
I have been a regular and faithful customer of Deerbox for two years now. As a South African meat eater and braai umfundi , I was attracted to Deerbox by the fact that this high quality , healthy meat was harvested WITHOUT THE ANIMAL GOING THROUGH THE STRESS AND TRAUMA OF THE INDUSTRIALUSED ABBATOIR SYSTEM. I have tried to reduce my consumption of beef, pork and lamb for this main reason. As a former hunter and wild game biltong maker the idea of an animal dying with the minimum of stress is an important factor for me. Deerbox venison is harvested from the wild in this manner. I have found all Deerbox venison and boar products of exceptional quality. I love the sustainable packaging, the easy online ordering and efficient delivery system -all outstanding. Deerbox has never disappointed and I have found my monthly order economical and affordable. Five star enterprise, Gold star customer service and Gold star products. I cannot recommend Deerbox enough and will remain a regular customer.

Great service and delicious
Great service, really easy to order and collect. Brilliantly packaged so the meat stays totally frozen after sitting in my car all day. Delicious products! The Pave steak is more tender than beef fillet and the sausages are amazing!

Excellent produce
I've just ordered my third Deerbox and have been delighted with both the quality of the produce and standard of service. The mince, sausages and burgers have gone down really well with my family and I particularly recommend the casserole venison, which is absolutely delicious (far nicer than beef). Deliveries arrive on the stated day and are well packed. It's great to have access to sustainable, ethically sourced, quality meat.

Excellent
Recently bought a mixed venison box, so far had casserole, sausages and burgers all of it excellent. The slow cooked casserole was the nicest venison I think I've had. Looking forward to the steaks and shoulder. Won't hesitate to buy again

Let down by the delivery
The meat was very good but delivery was not. The website did not automatically show our full address. The delivery was a day late and we had to check that that would not cause any problems.

Antwoord van Deer Box Ltd
Thank you for your feedback — we’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the quality of the meat, as that’s always our top priority as we are a food business, not a delivery company.
In terms of delivery, we use DHL because of their strong reputation for meeting delivery timeframes and handling perishable goods appropriately. As a food business, maintaining the quality and safety of our products in transit is extremely important to us, so we choose partners that can support that. That said, we completely understand how frustrating delays can be, especially when you’re expecting a delivery on a specific day.
Our website can occasionally have address-entry issues depending on how details are auto-filled, but customers are always able to enter the address manually to ensure everything appears correctly. We’re also continually working to improve this.
We actively track all of our shipments and do our best to monitor any delays as they happen. If we see that an order is running late, we’ll always look into it straight away and take action where needed. In the worst-case scenario — if a delay were to affect product quality — we would of course replace items to make sure our customers are looked after.
We really appreciate you flagging this and hope to provide a smoother delivery experience for you next time.
