Deliciously Guilt Free is a small, family-run British chocolate maker on a mission to prove that giving up sugar should never mean giving up great chocolate. We make artisan, no added sugar chocolate for people who love chocolate but want less sugar in their lives. Whether you’re living with diabetes, following a keto or low-carb lifestyle, or simply trying to cut down on sugar, we believe you still deserve seriously delicious chocolate. And we mean proper chocolate. We use high-quality cacao, real cocoa butter and carefully chosen ingredients to create rich, smooth chocolate without adding sugar or using palm oil. Our chocolate is made in small batches, stone-ground for days and carefully tempered by our team before making its way to you. Deliciously Guilt Free started in our family kitchen when founder Dan began creating low-carb treats for his wife during her pregnancy after she developed gestational diabetes. What began as one husband trying to make something delicious for his wife has grown into a family business serving thousands of chocolate lovers across the UK. We’re still small. We’re still learning. And we still care enormously. Every day, our little team strives to make the very best chocolate we possibly can… for you.

Lyn, being with us since the very beginning makes this one extra special... you’ve seen DGF grow from the early days, so hearing that we’ve never disappointed you means a huge amount.
Thank you for sticking with us, backing what we do and saying such lovely things about the chocolate and the service. Customers like you have genuinely been part of the journey.

The chocolate is wonderful well worth it... but because it is a small enterprise you do have to wait a few days for it, but worth it

Thank you Malcolm… and I’m really pleased the chocolate was worth the wait!
You’ve actually picked up on the one area I’ve been working really hard to improve. Because we make our chocolate ourselves rather than buying in finished bars, there will always be a little production time involved… but recently we’ve grown the team and brought in new management in the kitchen, which has made a massive difference to how quickly we’re getting orders made and out of the door.
So hopefully next time we can earn that elusive fifth star from you! 😂
Most importantly though, I’m delighted you thought the chocolate was wonderful. Thank you for giving a small business like ours a try, Malcolm… it really does mean a lot.
Dan
The espresso chocolate is divine !

“Divine” is a pretty perfect verdict for the Espresso, Fiona 😊
That rich coffee and chocolate combination has become a real favourite, so I’m very glad it’s hit the spot for you too.

The staff are so helpful and big hearted. The product is high quality and absolutely delicious. To be able to eat chocolate without the repercussions is hugely appreciated. Thank you for your amazing product. I would recommend you to anyone and everyone!

Lyn, this is incredibly kind... thank you.
The bit about the team being “helpful and big hearted” really means a lot to me. We’re a small family business, and I want people to feel genuinely looked after when they buy from us, not like they’re just another order number.
And hearing that you love the chocolate enough to recommend us to “anyone and everyone” is a huge compliment 😊 Thank you for backing what we do so warmly.

I received my substantial order seemingly ahead of schedule. The box arrived very well sealed, clearly labelled & secure, no damage observed.
Thanks once again for putting the customer first.

Marc, I’m really pleased to hear your order arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
We put a lot of care into getting everything packed securely, so it’s lovely when that gets noticed. Thanks for coming back to us again... and for the very kind words about how we look after our customers.

My first caramel filled bar… wow!
Oh my goodness…
I’m a subscriber and buy a lot of your chocolate, Dan.
The creamy milk is always there in the cupboard for those afternoon ‘pick me ups’ with a cup of tea.
The espresso was my new favourite, overtaking the dreamy orange with its pure coffee extract.
Then there’s the milk mint, a lovely treat to round off a meal, with the dark mint when the occasion demanded.
I can take or leave the Dubai bars - very nice and indulgent, but I’m all about the chocolate, I thought.
Then I tried the caramel… Oh my, that is just gorgeous! I have a new favourite. I just have to keep sneaking a piece from the cupboard. Just one piece… I dare not take the bar anywhere with a cup of tea. It would be gone in a flash.
Dan, you and the team have outdone yourselves with this one! Chapeau!

Clare, this is such a brilliant review to read... and I love the running order of favourites 😂
Creamy Milk for the afternoon tea, Espresso knocking Orange off the top spot, Mint after dinner... and then along comes Caramel and causes complete chaos!
The bit about not daring to take the whole bar with a cup of tea made me laugh because I know exactly what you mean. “Just one piece” can be a dangerous little promise.
Thank you for being such a loyal subscriber and for trying so much of what we make. Hearing that the Caramel has managed to become your new favourite really does mean a lot to me and the team.

So I bought the mixed pack
So I bought the mixed pack
I thought the postal process was pretty slow, from order to receiving the chocolate, they do state it’s made fresh and sent asap, but a week is long to wait.
However i do think it was worth waiting for, I enjoyed all the flavours sent the chocolate was creamy and tasted great.
My only slight criticism was occasionally the chocolate gave a very slight fine powdery texture, which did not distract from the flavour.
I was given a voucher for my next purchase and I will be ordering again.

I think “worth waiting for” is probably the bit I'm happiest to read here, Jason! 😄🍫
And you're absolutely right about the wait. September rather caught us by surprise... we had an influx of orders on a scale we'd simply never experienced before. Your order was towards the tail end of our quoted 3–5 working day production time, so thank you for bearing with us.
The good news is that we've actually tripled the size of the team during September and brought new management into the chocolate kitchen. That's already brought our turnaround time down massively, so you should see a big difference when that second order comes in!
I'm really pleased you enjoyed all the flavours and found the chocolate creamy and delicious. I've also taken on board your comment about the occasional slightly powdery texture... that's genuinely useful feedback for me as a chocolate maker.
And the fact you're planning another order is possibly the best verdict of all!
Thank you for such a fair and thoughtful review, Jason... and for sticking with us while we've been growing rather faster than we expected!
Dan
Getting on for 2 weeks delivery
Getting on for 2 weeks delivery, and the chocolate is bland, and a ridiculous price. No I will not ever use you company again.

Hey Paddy.
I was waiting for the review as I read your…rather enthusiastic email correspondence throughout the ordering process. I thought for a moment that DGF and you were becoming pen pals but alas I see that with this review our relationship maybe at an end!
Just a word of advice, manners and civility cost nothing Paddy and I’m proud that we have (as the record shows) treated you with the utmost respect.

On the taste and price, those are fair opinions to have. We use proper cocoa butter, quality cocoa ingredients and make everything ourselves in small batches, so we're never going to be the cheapest chocolate. Equally, taste is incredibly personal... what thousands of our customers love simply won't be for everyone and that’s ok.
Thank you for giving us a try and I genuinely wish you well.
Dan
P.S. Oh like I said we make everything by hand BUT at least we’re not a sweat shop ;-) (For others reading, that was what Paddy gave 5 stars for previously)
I bought 4 variety pack
I bought 4 variety pack, i know its good ingredients, however i thought it was quite bland. It was worth a punt though, and a great option for dieting or diabetics.
24 september 2026
Antwoord van Deliciously Guilt Free
Thanks for giving us a punt, Iain... and for being straight with me.
One thing I’d definitely suggest is trying the chocolate at room temperature if you haven’t already. When it’s too cold, the cocoa butter firms up and the flavour can feel much more muted, so letting it warm a little can make quite a difference.
I’m glad you could see the quality of the ingredients, even if the flavour didn’t quite hit the mark for you this time.
Dan

Another package of white nectar.
I just received another delivery of the most beautiful white chocolate bars. I still find it difficult to believe that chocolate that tastes this good is keto friendly and doesn't spick my insulin it's fantastic. My package arrived quickly and the chocolate was in perfect condition.

Antwoord van Deliciously Guilt Free
Gordon, I absolutely love the phrase “another package of white nectar” 😂 I might have to borrow that one!
Thank you so much for coming back for another order. I know exactly what you mean about the white chocolate… when you’re used to keto or low-carb chocolate being a compromise, it can seem slightly suspicious when something actually tastes this good!
That was the whole reason I started making our chocolate in the first place… I wanted something that tasted like proper chocolate, just without all the sugar and carbs.
Really pleased to hear it arrived quickly and in perfect condition too. Thank you again for supporting our little family business, Gordon… and enjoy that white nectar! 😂

Several orders in is always lovely to hear... thank you 😊
I’m especially pleased it gives you that little bit of indulgence without feeling like you’re compromising on the chocolate itself. Handmade in small batches and using proper ingredients is something I care a lot about.
And “delicious and guilt free”... that’s exactly what I hoped we’d create!

Really delicious chocolate
Really delicious chocolate, it tastes like proper chocolate that a few chunks will keep you happy! Although i could eat it all in one go! And it does t raise blood sugar! Result! Thank you.

“Proper chocolate” is exactly what I want people to think when they taste it, Dawn 😊
A few chunks keeping you happy sounds very sensible... although wanting to eat the whole lot in one go is a review I’m equally pleased with 😂
Really glad it’s working so well for you too. Result indeed!
Dan
Delivery too long
Delivery too long, chocolate doesn't taste nice, I've tried four flavours, chocolate without sugar just isn't palatable. Not for me.
22 september 2026
Antwoord van Deliciously Guilt Free
I'm sorry the chocolate wasn't for you, Christopher, but I really appreciate you giving four different flavours a fair try.
Taste is incredibly personal, and if you're used to conventional chocolate with a lot more sugar, ours can certainly taste very different. I deliberately let the cocoa take centre stage rather than trying to recreate that very sweet taste... but I completely understand that won't suit everyone.
On delivery, we do quote 3–5 working days before dispatch because we make our chocolate fresh in small batches rather than having huge quantities sitting in a warehouse. I appreciate that can feel longer than ordering from a large retailer though.
Thank you for trying us, Christopher. We may not have converted you, but I genuinely appreciate you giving my little chocolate business a chance.
Dan

Service and delivery is fast and efficient. Each bar has a unique taste of its own helping us to enjoy the chocolate treats without sugar .

I love that you've noticed how different each of the bars tastes, Mechelle... that's exactly what I want rather than every flavour just tasting like the same chocolate with something added to it! 🍫😊
And being able to enjoy a proper chocolate treat without all the sugar is, of course, the whole reason I started making it in the first place.
Really pleased the service and delivery have impressed you too. Thank you for such a lovely review!
