Nearly 3 months waiting for paintbrushes and sheets. Left up to 8 enquiries about the order's status. Had to threaten with the small claims court and link to a citizen's information page on deliveries to finally get a refund.

Ordered a kitchen and it arrived on the date it was supposed to within 5 weeks, the main reason I am giving 5 stars is that all the correct parts were included and correct sizes witbout damage, for over 100 items. The design on the kitchen was helpful in store and the quality of the doors is fine.

I had ordered Imandra bathroom…
I had ordered Imandra bathroom furniture in December 2025. Later bq contacted me to tell it is out of stock and i need to wait. I agreed to wait. Finaly it was delivered in February 2026 with one piece of furniture missing. Was told by customer service the picture and description of furniture on BQ site was incorrect. ??? Thought ok mistakes happen but still will get a missing piece. Finaly after a long wait of customer service response found out i will not. So i have to return it or keep it as it is. It is on the wall in my bathroom already and I paid for fitting it while waiting for their response. So very very disapointed and would not recomend or pls think twice before buying from there.

5 star service from Maurice!
Couldn’t recommend Maurice higher for a kitchen design. We’re moving to a new build house in Waterford and a local luxury designer brand were the recommended vendor for our development. After meeting with the luxury designer we decided it wasn’t for us and we shopped around. We went to Maurice with a slight idea of design in mind and with Maurice’s help we ended up with even more than we could have imagined. From the perfect aesthetic for our chosen style to smart storage and effortless flow through the kitchen, Maurice helped us create our ideal and dream kitchen. Even when it came to some hiccups with the install, which had absolutely nothing to even do with Maurice, he still had everything resolved within days for us. He answered all of our questions and gave us plenty of options to expand our vision, without overwhelming us. He was always in a fantastic mood, he was great craic and so easy to chat with. A complete gentleman who’s fantastic at what he does. Super grateful for him!

Just ring to customers service it is 18.march 17.08pm asking for help about my delivery on the other side someone answer my phone call sound like totally drunk or unresponsible person asking me personal question about my phone and my details after I answer his question try to ask him 7 times for his name nothing completely blank me this is inappropriate action from your company which IAM not Gona tolerate I hope your management find who this person is and sorted out this situation. My favourite store in Ireland! I go there several times a week. A nice trick is that the item you want on the website has the isle where the item is in the store you choose. Amazing!

Being a regular customer I know where everything I need is in the swords branch Dublin so I don’t lose time searching the place. If there is something I can’t find there is always a very helpful member of staff. So I’m in and out and back on the job in no time
Good price but poor documentation
The price was excellent but the instructions were non-existant. The issue that I had was with the "quick release" of the screwdriver head. It wouldn't release.
WORST online shopping experience EVER
B&Q have prompted me to write this review, so let it be on their head. On the basis of many years buying online in different countries, from different suppliers using different couriers, this was easily the WORST online purchasing experience I have ever had. The product I bought got lost for weeks and was eventually delivered to the wrong address. I wasn't notified it was being delivered (I was supposed to get a text), the tracking was incorrect, and I wasn't sent any proof of delivery. I was given many incorrect delivery dates by B&Q and its courier XPO. Numerous emails and phone calls to B&Q and XPO failed to solve the problem. Eventually I wrote the order off and cancelled my online order, reordered it by Click and Collect and drove 2 hours to my local B&Q store to collect it. Two weeks later, the original order was retrieved from the wrong house by the Post Office (not XPO who had clearly lost interest in retrieving it) so now I have two identical products. I will attempt to hand one back to my local B&Q store next time I am there but I refuse to have anything to do with the courier XPO.
Very bad service
I ordered a bin at the start of November and I still haven't received it and its the 14th of March....even though I've emailed 2 to 3 times ...still nothing...I also had an order for taps that they said was priced wrong so the cancelled my order and refunded my money ....so not great experience with the online stuff...

DIY.ie is complete garbage
DIY.ie is complete garbage, they charged me 3 different 8 of each (3 different sized plastic storage boxes) items, then the next day cancelled 2 of them. They then sent me the 8 boxes of what they had but with 8 lids from bigger boxes. They then tried twice to pick-up but also brought the wrong lids again, its was impossible to explain on the phone to the B&Q rep on the phone who spoke English but really struggled to understand what was being the problem. Ultimately I ceased contact with them because I could have been in this loop for life and went to my local B&Q which were brilliant.
Forget DIY.ie they don't have a good stock management system and phoning them was way beyond a waste of time but the B&Q store is brilliant.
Had to put a random date because this went on for 3 weeks.

Don’t order online, just don’t!
Online order. First, all items were left loose at my door; no box, no bag, nothing. One of the the solar yard light didn’t have the stake to put it in the ground, not did it have the battery compartment, nor battery. I contacted B&AA. A replacement light was dispatched, but the pick up of the faulty light occurred prior to delivery of the replacement. When the replace finally arrived it too was left loose at my door, and it too was missing the stake to place it into the ground. Fed up with this process I requested a refund, and they could collect the loose item from my door! I received a return notice that seemed to indicate that I would need to return the light to a store before a refund would be generated. The nearest store is over an hour away…hence the online order. If at all possible I would avoid B&Q all together , but at a minimum an online ordering!!!
