I had my first appointment in person with Dr Kumar in February due to a workplace situation. I was met with the most understanding and compassion from her as I sat there unexpectedly crying in her room.
Through gentle questioning to get me to explain my circumstances, Dr Kumar assessed that I was experiencing chronic anxiety and burnout.
I have seen Dr Kumar 2 more times since (virtual appointments) and she still gives the same warmth and professionalism as in person, helping me to navigate my personal situation and find realistic solutions without feeling under pressure.
I would highly recommend Dr Kumar and also, when I visited the Canary Wharf surgery, the staff member on reception was excellent as the initial face and representation of the business.

What is the point of having humans working on reception who can’t help you, it’s a private doctors practice who would not help me with a very stressful medical situation.

As we all know, with the unfortunate reality of a very strained NHS; many are being left in less than ideal medical care and many facing neglect: whilst being mindful that our NHS Doctors and Nurses are doing their very best to support us all there seems to be the unfortunate reality of severely strained-resources and unrealistic conditions impacting patient care and experience: this is where I feel services like the incredible Doctap Team provide an absolutely essential service of medical and care excellence, one that approaches our health with a holistic approach focused on the individual and on having us at peak-health, my experiences with this company have been nothing short of wonderful-every single visit and I can, hand on heart, attest to the excellence in care and communication from Dr Mehra and Niamh and the incredible team at Doctap, a huge thank you to this wonderful clinic and to those that work so hard to keep this service going

I can say with confidence that Dr Lakshmi Kumar is the best GP I have ever been to. I went into the appointment worried that my concerns might be dismissed, as has often happened with both NHS and private GPs in the past. Instead, she treated me like a human being from the very first minute, not a time slot. She listened carefully, understood the full picture of what I was going through, and never made me feel rushed. She explained all the possible treatment options, talked me through potential side effects in a clear and reassuring way, and worked with me to create a plan that genuinely made sense.
Apart from being incredibly competent, what impressed also was how attentive and kind she was. She gave me space to ask questions and arranged proper follow-up and made sure I wouldn’t be left on my own after the appointment. It was the first time in a long time that I felt truly seen, understood, and helped by a GP.
I am very grateful for her care and would recommend Dr Kumar wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a doctor who is compassionate, thorough, and truly dedicated to her patients’ wellbeing beyond the consultation itself.

Blood test Results were promised in 1-2 days and after 4 days I am still waiting. The online portal says they are available after 2 days but they are not available. It feels as if they are just putting the date in to meet their deadline but then not delivering the service. I have booked another appointment with my own GP 6 days later and currently have no results to discuss. £198 wasted.

I had a wonderful experience with DocTap. The team replied to my emails very quickly and were incredibly kind and helpful.
Dr Anna Hourmouzios was exceptionally warm, attentive and understanding — she really listened and gave all the right recommendations.
Their website is also very convenient and easy to use, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
Highly recommend!

Dr Kumar was absolutely brilliant as usual. She was able to diagnose and effectively treat my mother's sinus infection in one visit.
Dr Kumar is a doctor who truly listens to her patients and gives them the best care possible.

Couldn’t get an NHS appointment for weeks and I really needed to see someone. After some research I came across doctap, gave them a go. Was surprised, in this current climate to find the service was very efficient. Booked easily for the same day, £95 for a video appointment with a Doctor. Dr Rathbone was friendly, empathetic, helpful, and helped me through what I needed (I won’t describe here).
Given the price of the alternatives in London were coming between £250 - £450 for a consultation, £95 was money very well spent and I’m extremely grateful the service was so quick and easy to use - as well as the same day appointment.
If I’m ever stuck with a GP in the NHS, I’ll come again. Thank you and please keep the service as efficient as it is - it’s really a lifeline for those of us who need it.

I've been using Doctap for a number of years now and I cannot fault the service that is provided. Appointments are readily available any day of the week across several locations. Though the option is available to see any doctor, I found that using the same doctor, special shout out to Dr Lakshmi Kumar, who makes you feel that what matters to you, matters to her. I booked an appointment for Tuesday but it says it was for Monday . I missed it and asked for a reschedule first and they said no . I then asked for a refund and the receptionist said nope. I think this is really poor customer service from the team at doctap.

Avoid at all costs.
I booked an STI screen through the website, which offered two clear options: “STI screen” or “individual test.” I selected the screen, expecting it to cover all the relevant sites, as is completely standard. However, when I arrived, I was told it only included testing for one site, and I’d need to pay double the price for a full and proper screen.
I felt completely misled by how this was presented online. When I raised my concerns politely in person, there was no understanding or sympathy - just a blunt response from the management. I left feeling conned and let down.

Thank you for your reply. However, there was nothing transparent about your booking service. It was misleading and I wasn't offered a refund or even any sympathy or resolution beyond publicly claiming to be empathetic on trust pilot, which is disappointing. It's been weeks and I've not heard from your company so I assume there is no intention of actually addressing my complaint, only an intention to publicly claim that you care about it. I look forward to hearing from you via email if you actually want to take my complaint seriously, and I if I haven't heard from you then this is why this complaint will remain on trustpilot.

Sign up easy, making appointment easy. Doctor was very friendly and understanding.
Letter produced and recieved with 15 minutes. I paid only £20 more than my NHS GP practice who offered turnaround time of 10 days.
Would use again in a flash
