SS Tourist Trap
Definitely skip this trip. They take you to Murano, which is lovely, but give you no time to see it. Instead, they try to sell you glass from whatever factory they have a deal with. They give you an hour in Burano instead of the 90 minutes they advertise, but it’s a mercy, since it’s basically a shopping mall, with nothing worth buying, eating, or looking at. Also, it was bucketing down rain when we landed at Burano, but the crew didn’t care and rudely sent out into it instead of waiting a few minutes for it to stop. You’d think all that was to stay on schedule, but we got back to San Marco 40 minutes late when all was said and done, nearly making us have to run for a dinner reservation we should have easily made and would have been charged for a no-show.

We always inform our guests that the stop in Murano includes both the visit to the glass factory and some free time to explore the island independently. The stop in Burano lasts from one to two hours (depending on the tour), and we’re sorry that you didn’t enjoy what most of our visitors usually love — the colorful houses, the charm of lace-making, and the local tradition of bussolà cookies.
Passenger safety is always our top priority. We regret the inconvenience caused by disembarking in the rain, but our team must have assessed that it was safe to proceed at that time. We also have no record of a 40-minute delay on the return trip, but if you’d like to contact us directly with more details about your tour and the scheduled return time, we’ll be happy to verify this for you.
We hope you’ll give us another opportunity in the future to offer you a more enjoyable experience.

These palaces are certainly worth to visit as they are historical and you don't get to see them everyday. It was a nice tour, lasted about 2.5 hours. The guide provided us with good information. It was above my expectations. Its a must in Venice.

We enjoyed the trip. The only downside was that the boat from Venice departed later than planned and we had to wait for it for about 15 minutes longer because at that time (3:30 p.m.) there were many passengers and a larger ship was needed.

Wir sind gut nach Venedig gefahren worden. Die Informationen während der Überfahrt waren in Ordnung und gut verständlich. Lediglich an den Sitzgelegenheiten sollte man etwas ändern oder modernisieren. Auf den Holzbänken sitzt man nicht besonders bequem.

Stress free journey
After booking our trip at our hotel, everything was quite straightforward.
The booth at the port was easy to find and the lady who checked us in and issued our tickets was very helpful and friendly.
The boat left exactly on time both going and returning.

Absolute Katastrophe
Absolute Katastrophe. Wir hatten Murano/Burano gebucht, fuhren aber als erstes nach Venedig, um noch weitere Gäste aufzunehmen. Das wurde nirgendwo im Voraus erwähnt. Alles in Allem dauerte die Fahrt zur ersten Insel, Murano, 1 Stunde!! Dort wurde eine kurze Show in einer Glasbläserei geboten. Anschließend hatte man eine knappe 3/4 Stunde Zeit in Murano. Ein absolutes Gehetze, viel zu wenig Zeit für die Stadt. Anschliessend fuhren wir weiter nach Burano, weitere 35 Minuten auf dem Schiff. Bevor wir endlich an Land gehen konnten, rangierte unser Boot gute 10 Minuten vor dem Anleger, weil kein Anlegeplatz frei war… dies ging alles von der ohnehin schon viel zu kurz bemessenen Zeit auf Burano ab. Nachdem wir schon auf Murano unsere Sachen (Schirme) nach Rückfrage beim Personal auf dem Boot gelassen hatten, haben wir das auf Burano auch so gehandhabt und eine kleine Schachtel mit einer gläsernen Blume an unserem Platz zurück gelassen. Als wir wieder auf das Boot kamen, war die Schachtel gestohlen!!! Als wir den Reiseleiter ansprachen, sagte er uns, dass andere Leute auf dem Boot waren, während wir auf Burano waren! Das hatte uns vorher keiner gesagt!!! Weiter kam dann auch keine Reaktion mehr vom Personal!
Fazit: man sollte beide Inseln auf jeden Fall besuchen, aber auf keinen Fall mit Il Doge! Die Zeit ist viel zu knapp bemessen, man wird total gehetzt, und der Diebstahl hat bei uns einen sehr bitteren Nachgeschmack hinterlassen!

Es tut uns leid, dass Sie mit Ihrer Erfahrung bei uns nicht zufrieden waren. In einigen Fällen sind technische Stopps erforderlich, die in der Tourbeschreibung nicht angegeben sind, die jedoch keine Zeit von den Inselbesuchen wegnehmen. Wir wissen, dass die Aufenthalte kurz erscheinen können, aber die Tour ist so gestaltet, dass sie einen allgemeinen Überblick über die Orte bietet.
Wir bedauern den Diebstahl sehr: Während der Stopps kann das Boot auch für andere Dienste genutzt werden und steht nicht ausschließlich der Ausflugsgruppe zur Verfügung. Leider kommt es manchmal vor, dass unzivilisierte Personen Gegenstände behalten, die ihnen nicht gehören, anstatt sie an das Bordpersonal zu übergeben – das betrübt uns sehr.
Wir hoffen, Sie in Zukunft wieder an Bord begrüßen zu dürfen, um Ihnen ein angenehmeres Erlebnis zu bieten.

Experience Shorter than advertised - disappointed
The experience was good however I dont feel we got value for money as we didnt get to explore the islands according to the times listed in the brochure.
So we feel you need to definitely look at this and update the brochure so customers know exactly what they are getting.
It was advertised as 1 hour on Murano and we didnt get that long but Burano was listed as 1.5 hours to explore and we only got an hour. When I questioned this with the host on the boat, she had no real answer as to why it was shorter than advertised and said it was the captains ruling to leave after 1 hour.
So we were very upset and mad about this.
Also the company really should cut out the drop to Venice for the people on the half day trip as if we didnt have to dock there we would have had more time to explore the islands.
Was not worth the money and would not do it again with this company
