I contacted Dwarves prior to placing my order because I wanted to make sure the shoes would fit correctly. They promptly answered my questions, and the boots fit my wide feet very well. They seem well made, the leather is soft and a beautiful color, and they look just like the pictures.

Shoes are good quality and nice looking. Exactly what I had in mind. They run a bit big, which was a bummer. I usually wear 8,5 but they were way too big.
Toe box gives good space for toes. Super healthy!

Wrong sized shoes turned up and I was told it was due to my error (it wasn't, I've learn my lesson with US sizes previously). At incredible expense having to return the shoes to China with the same dodgy instructions others have mentioned. Not holding much hope of a refund! Avoid at all costs

Although I returned these shoes for a different style, they were beautifully made and extremely comfortable. The returns process is a little inconvenient but easy if you follow the instructions. Amelia is very helpful: I was able to ship my return from Canada to a US location for only $28, which is acceptable considering Dwarves does not charge a shipping fee when the shoes are shipped to you. I ordered a different pair and will review when I have received them. All in all the shoes seem well-made and very comfortable.

I finally received my ‘leather’ Chelsea boots. Not only are they NOT leather but when I opened the package the toxic fumes that flew out of the package made me cough and burned my eyes. Now I have to return them and the whole process seems to be really ridiculous especially since they were shipped from somewhere in California where I live. We’ll see what kind of customer service I get and whether I will change my review. Wish me luck.

Avoid at all cost. Their return policy is onerous and ridiculous. I wish I had read these reviews before. The shoes appear to be well made but if you order the wrong size and want to return it, the process is expensive and burdensome. They want you to write down the value of the shoes as $20 so it doesn’t get hung up in Customs in China.

I bought two pairs 9,5 (usa) , one pair (Oxfords) are perfect for me, but other pair (Loafers) bigger like size 10 or 10,5 (usa) and I didn't about their return policy and customers has to pay any shipping expenses, for me was $47,50 from MA...
I said that is ridiculous, they respond: "You can send to our US warehouse but it's still will cost you $28"
And guys and future customers, don't buy it from them, your nerves cost more than this cheap company...

Oxfords and Loafers quality very good, but I just want to cry cuz I can't wear those pair of shoes!!!

Sooo Happy with my Dwarves! The customer service was excellent✨️ I messaged about getting a 1/2 size bigger after reading the reviews and it was no problem👌 8 would have fit but 8.5 allows me an insole/arch support👍✔️ I will definitely be ordering more dwarves now that I know and feel confident. Love that it's a female artisan collective as well💐 Well done ladies💫

AMAZING. Firstly a big shout out to Amelia who went the extra mile to replace the first pair, that were too small. The replacement boots are incredibly well made, beautiful, soft leather, a sensible heel and a great toe shape. They arrived very quickly. Dwarves shoes are expertly made. They have a diverse range and new trends emerging all the time. For the future buyer, just a word of caution re sizing. They tell you to be careful, but you need to know that they use the Chinese sizes, not European or American. I did not realize that CN36 = EU37. If you take EU36, you need to order EU37 because that is what CN sizes are. Thank you Dwarves. I'll be back for more.

I ordered the size I always wear but the shoe ran small.

They said we need to return them within a week and in spite of this they do not answer emails for 5 days despite repeated emails.

Shipping it directly to China from California is $45-50

They said that if the shipping charge is over $40 to contact them. They say we can ship it to Oregon but then they charge a $28 fee.

Shipping to Oregon would be $20 plus the restock fee of $28, that is $48

In both cases, the charge is exorbitant, especially since the shoes were a bit over $100. Who would pay a 50% return fee?

I recently got the retro woman’s half calf boots. These boots are lovely. Very well made and super comfortable. I like them so much I am tempted to get another pair in a different colour.

I bought the Goodyear horse leather ankle boots, I absolutely love my boots. I was kept updated on my status and received my boots in a very timely manner. I measured my foot and used the size chart to select my size and they fit perfectly. My insoles also fit perfectly, Extremely comfortable and worth the price. Would definitely recommend to my friends and buy from this company again.

I feel duped!! I ordered two pairs of shoes from Dwarves in my usual size. When they arrived, they were DRASTICALLY too small. Customer Service kindly directed me towards the return protocol. However, returns to China from Canada cost $150!!!!!! When I noted this to Customer Service, I was then provided an alternate US return address. This cost me $50 to return. Refunds are then subject to an additional $28USD.

I went ahead and exchanged one pair and returned the other to the US address a couple weeks ago. I have not yet received the return fare, but *have* received the "new pair" in a supposedly larger size. Dude, they are the same pair of too-small shoes.

I'm obviously not going to bother returning them AGAIN for ANOTHER $50.

Overall BRUTAL experience.

That said, the customer service person I spoke to was nice and helpful. But that in no way makes up for being f****** robbed.

The shoes themselves were nice, so this is all a denged shame!

Got my boots. Very happy. Good quality, exactly what I wanted. I wish the delivery was faster, but otherwise it's all good.

Since I found them online a couple of years ago I only by my shoes from them . I am very picky when it comes to my shoes. & love them sooo much I am now on my 8th pair and continue ordering !!

These shoes are awesome! Every pair I have gotten have been comfortable. I get a lot of compliments on every pair I wear.
