This company need to face up to their design faults and sort them out , it appears they cant answer simple questions , such as “ why is my caravan roof cracking and letting water in “ there are enough people out there with the problem .
They just bury their head in the sand !

Hi everyone! I wanted to jump on and detail a bit about our amazing journey with Elddis so far, as we have moved on from our 4 yr old baby, the Compass Camino 674 to the brand new Elddis Connoisseur 868 just two weeks ago.
We started our Elddis journey 4yrs ago with the purchase of our Compass Camino 674 from the fantastic Elddis dealer here in Northern Ireland, LPC Caravans Bangor.
After spending many happy years through all of my childhood at my parents static caravan in Castlerock, we decided to try touring. We purchased a 10yr old single axle. After a short time absolutely loving it we upgraded to the Camino at LPC.
The build quality was instantly noticeable. Everything within the van was solid and of the highest quality. No squeaks, no rattles, no movement in panelling. Internal doors and cupboards all shut and opened in such a solid way. It was actually hard to believe that the van only weighed 1775kg, as the quality of the build was just so sturdy. The layout and location of lounge, through kitchen, mid-bathroom and back end bedroom had clearly evolved and been meticulously thought about and designed because the user friendliness of all aspects of the van was simply fantastic, and vastly superior to anything we had seen before. The exterior was signaturely eye-catching. The Camino was a real head-turner on the road and caravan parks with the high quality front end, bluey grey side panels and decals and the lovely dark tint privacy windows. We got lots of people on site coming to compliment the van, and just have a wee nosey!
I am a huge Instagram fan, with a large account @__.brian.__ ...this very quickly became the perfect place to showcase the Camino and our travels. I began tagging Elddis in our travels of stories and photos of it on site with its beautiful exterior and interiors as me and my husband and child enjoyed many happy times with everything you can imagine the North Coast of Northern Ireland to include, from paddleboarding to cycling and everything in between. Games nights, parties with the family, movie nights, rainy TV nights with a TV in the lounge and TV in the bedroom. The Camino just supplied the ultimate safety and luxury to support our outdoor and caravanning lifestyle. It was a pleasure to be in. As i started to tag Elddis, much to my pleasure, i started to get reactions and comments of support from Elddis HQ and they often shared my stories on their Instagram. With big companies you are often "lost" in the online social media world as your little story or post is simply overlooked...not with Elddis!!! Very quickly i realised that Elddis HQ had a genuine interest in their caravan owners and their travels. I got chatting with Rachel from HQ. She had mentioned that they enjoyed following our travels.
On the road, the Camino was incredibly safe and stable with the twin axles. No swaying, stable during windy journies, fantastically reactive to sharp breaking and perfectly balanced to front and back creating no undue balance issues with the towbar.
So, getting right up to date, we decided to upgrade the van a few weeks ago, again with our fantastic friends at LPC Caravans. The Camino was 4 berth and we decide to go for the Elddis Connoisseur 868, 6 berth 8 foot wide model. We picked it up 2 weeks ago. I have to say i was incredibly sad and emotional saying goodbye to the Camino, but equally as excited to pick up the 868. WHAT CAN I SAY...!.!.!.!..the new 868 is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!
Like a good old friend that we have come to know, the exact same Elddis characteristics are present in our new 868 with this new generation of yet higher standard! The solid and secure build quality, the attention to detail both outside and inside, the signature colouring, paintwork, decals and alloys.
The 8 foot wide is even more stable on the road and again no roll or misbalance or stability issues. The 868 is mind-blowingly eye-catching. The attention it got on our first trip to Benone, North Coast NI, for 5 nights was crazy! I gladly stand a chat to people about our journey with Elddis.
Yet again, Elddis HQ left a lovely comment of support and well-wishes for our new 868 on my first Instagram post of it. For such an massively long established UK brand to give that personal touch only reinforces my decision to be the right one, to buy our second Elddis Caravan.
It's virtually unheard-of now to have that personal relationship with such a huge company....a company that has been inspiring travel since 1964. Bringing multi-award winning caravans, motorhomes and campervans for over 60 years, but yet still has the good old-fashioned values that it did all those years ago!
Thanks for all the happy, safe, cosy and classy times Elddis, and here's to many more 🥂 ...you managed to find the secret to joy and contentment and pack into a little box on wheels 🫶🏼😎👌🏼

Very poor after sales service with Elddis recently. Problem with retractable bed after 35 nights use. After hiding behind their anonymous technical department, we were told by customer services that we had abused it???? With no specific reason given. To compound the problem, when we went to dealer to begin warranty claim process, they used a pry bar to free it off, only to pull the rivets!! Needless to say, we wouldn't recommend Elddis an when we replace caravan in October we won't be buying another Erwin Hymer group product.

An area of damp was found on my Eldis Encore van during the annual habitation service. Unfortunately the dealer was not initially able to repair this within the warranty guidelines as the labour hours requested exceeded Eldis’s settings. Helen from Customer Service went over and above in resolving this, working closely with the warranty manager and the dealer here in Dorset. Without her care, tenacity and indeed great work ethic we would not have achieved this. What a great example of customer care

Having had 6 previous motorhomes I expected a short snagging list on such a complicated brand new vehicle. I wrongly relied on my dealer to put things right. After 6 months of pestering, cajoling etc i had more or less given up and made a remark on an Elddis post. I must say their reaction was instant and went over and beyond my wildest expectations. They insisted on a return to base at their expense refunding a full tank of fuel. Not only did they sort out the snagging list to my complete satisfaction, not tinkering but in one case replacing a door with its frame and furniture, but also fitted a bike rack i had bought, did a complete habitation service pressure water test and included my next year’s service. We also left with a spare leisure battery. They also said that if I had any further issues i could contact them directly. Although let down by my dealer they more than made up for it.

Bought a 115 from new in 2016.first 18 months had a persistant issue with leisure battery not charging, master switch worked when it felt like it.turned out that the inline fuse had never been installed properly and fell out in my hand.
One cream crackered leisure battery.
One issue after the other.leisure battery not charging from main battery, airbag ECU fault, injector fault, hinges on bed pulled away from frame.DAB radio stopped working.needed all mastic replacing outside.cheap and shoddy materials used in habitation part.so unreliable in the end i just didnt trust it to get me to where i wanted to go.cut my losses after nearly 8 years, and sold it.on the plus side if indeed there was one it was worth more at near 8 years old than when i bought it new.just so much grief it put me off ever having another, eldiss or otherwise.

I bought an elddis supreme 868 and I thought elddis were one of the best caravans to buy, I was wrong! Firstly it was a YEAR delayed! Then when it arrived I had holes in my blinds, a small hole in the middle of my floor Lino that I’ve had to cover up with a mat, the plastic in the fridge was smashed and cracked in the corner tray, they all took around 6 months to come in to be replaced. Now I’ve had it around 18 months and the shower door has come away from the frame, all the cupboard hinges and screw have come loose or off completed, the front skylight frame has been lose since we first towed it, the light over the door has come away, the screws out the wood next to the sette have come out and two blind strings have broken! There’s probably more I’ve forgotten about but I would NEVER buy an elddis again, what a nightmare from start to finish. Can’t wait to get rid of it and buy something that actually lasts. I honestly can’t believe it, disgusting!

The obvious answer is that the customer care dept.resolved my problem quickly, efficiently and to my complete satisfaction.
The young lady I spoke with, Allison was both considerate, efficient and knowledgeable. Over three days of communications she responded quickly and with appropriate support inorder to extricate the initial problem and resolve issues.
It was a pleasure and a change to find somebody who knew exactly what was required and could offer the necessary specific support. Well done!

I'm posting this review now as I've just noted that on 13th March this year Elddis posted on the Elddis CV owners group site a request for feedback, so here's my experience. I bought a new CV20 Autoquest Campervan in July 2020 from Perthshire Caravans. At the first habitation service in July 2021, I a gave a list of ‘snagging’ items that needed sorting. A few were done OK, but most weren’t done correctly or not at all. I wrote and listed the issues, just stating the situation and asking why some aspects were not sorted properly when we’d paid for the service. As it’s a 200+ mile round trip for the service then I’d also asked of the possibility of using a more local approved workshop for any warranty work, but as expected got the answer no. I don’t have an issue with this as it was in the terms when we bought the van that warranty work is covered by the dealer, with this being part of Elddis’ terms and conditions. What I have an issue with is the fact there was no acknowledgement or apology for the work not being done correctly, just a pretty curt one line response stating I could bring in it to be looked at. I’ve not been back since. Interestingly, I received a call 2 years after this asking me if I wanted to pursue the warranty claim for the cover for the kitchen area sink. I politely declined. We knew when buying that the CV20 is not a top end van, but it’s still a considerable amount of money. There was no after sales follow up as I’d normally expect when purchasing a new vehicle. Unfortunately it seemed very much a case of we have your money, now you’re on your own. The other aspect was handover of the van when new. Because of the Covid restrictions at the time we couldn’t have a face to face ‘tour’ of the van. In retrospect, this was also poor service. Other companies sorted videos with commentary to cover how things worked and other details, Perthshire Caravans offered and provided nothing. As it was our first van purchase we didn’t really know what to expect, in retrospect we should have expected much more.
After the first habitation service from the dealer, and the subsequent (lack of) response from the dealer, I’d written to Elddis expressing my dissatisfaction and enclosing a copy of the letter I’d sent to the dealer. Their handbook talks of helping resolve disputes. This was not the case. The lady I spoke to was very polite and pleasant, but appeared to not understand the issue I was describing, namely poor service of one of their accredited dealers. And this is the key issue, it's an Elddis dealer. It feels like they have you over a barrel, you can’t get warranty work done elsewhere, so what happens if you have no confidence in the work that has been done and hence want to choose a different company to service the van? Why would I pay the dealer more money knowing they didn’t do the job I’d paid for? Surely this should be possible to arrange.
Over the last year there have been a few significant issues with the van. The water heater failed, just out of warranty. The (habitation) water pump has also needed replacing, out of warranty. There are corroded wires for (I think) the frost protection to the water tank, again out of warranty. It’s interesting that the purchase price of the new vans is now 15-20K more than we paid. I hope the quality has improved. The snagging items I referred to were all so easily solvable with slightly better quality fixtures and fitting, it would barely add cost to the van, just using screws big enough to hold things in place is one example. We weren’t looking for luxury, but we were expecting something that would stand up a little better to being used for it’s purpose. I’m afraid I won’t be buying another Elddis. With the lack of response from both dealer and Elddis to the issues raised then why would I risk either of them again.

We all know things can go wrong when buying any new motor vehicle however a true test of the companies commitment to customer service is how they handle issues when you make a warranty claim. We have recently had problems with our Elddis 275 Encore Motorhome, through no fault of Elddis the first company who were booked to carry out the rectification work ceased trading before they could carry out the work, we asked Elddis to transfer the authority to carry out the work to another dealer, unfortunately they went into receivership before the work was completed. We only found this out when we decided to trade our van in for a new Elddis CV20 Camper Van. Without hesitation Elddis immediately issued another authority to the dealer to carry out the outstanding warranty work even though we were months out of the warranty period. The customer care department at Elddis are the best and I am happy to say we took delivery of our new Elddis camper van yesterday.

We have just hired a brand new Elddis Autoquest 115. The build quality is absolutely appalling. So far we have had it for 2 days and 2 cupboards are stuck shut and the flap under the sofa has completely fallen off and the press button close has fallen out of its hole. We have hired this model with a view to buying one and now I can safely say we will not be buying Elddis at all - just imagine having spent £80k on this and it being such poor quality.

I purchased our Buccaneer Cruiser in 2019. Unfortunately due to ill health the 2023 Service was overlooked. Following really helpful conversations and emails with Allison at Elddis the service record has been amended and our Warranty is now updated.

Having had a problem with my campervan regarding the Habitation service records I cannot give enough praise to the customer care team who gave me reassurance that this could and would be sorted. The time and effort that the team gave me allowed my records to be updated. Life would be so much more pleasant if all customer care departments were as efficient.

We have owned an Elddis Chatsworth 868 caravan for over three years. We tour as a family of five (children aged six, three and six months) and a dog.
We had zero experience in caravanning and attended the Caravan and Motorhome Show where Elddis stood out to us above all the other manufacturers. The innovative layout (with both a fixed bed and bunk beds creating a permanent bedroom at the back) was the only one that ticked everything on our wish list for a family caravan. So much thought has gone into designing and developing the layout and also the overall design. We were even able to purchase the relevant cushions to allow us to switch between the fixed table/two sofas to a u-shaped layout. However, in three years we've never even used them because the standard layout is perfect as it is.
The entire sales process (which overlapped covid lockdowns) was professional and a really pleasant experience and that support has followed through to our time on the road. As complete novices there were a few occasions we needed guidance and Elddis was always just a quick phone call away and more than happy to answer questions and help out to make sure we were sorted and happy. In our experience, Elddis is trustworthy, reliable, produces excellent quality caravans and the range on offer is extensive. As a brand they really do make you feel part of the family and I wouldn't look anywhere else when our time comes to change.
Happy 60th anniversary Elddis and thank you for creating a product that has become such a big part of our family.

I had an issue with the receipt which confirmed I had my Autowatch alarm fitted. The installer had not put my registration or VIN on so my insurance company would not accept it. Thankfully the lovely ladies in the customer service dept sorted out a new one, despite being very busy. All very charming and helpful.

Having owned 6 caravans from new in the last 18 years (4 of them from the Elddis Group, "3 Compass & 1 Buccaneer") we are in a great position to be able to give an honest and well understood product review.
All 4 caravans have been well made and with no to very small number of little issues to be corrected. The caravans are very well spec'd with small number of options available. The focus on occupant comfort for us has always been a deciding factory when choosing and Elddis Group product. One such example this time round, is the Buccaneer Cruiser is one of very few caravans that still has 6 foot front benches, allowing them to be long comfortable single beds. Many other brands have shortened these to 5 foot. Great design internally when it comes to positioning of lighting, example is the small night lights at the base of the bed, that dont keep you awake but are amazing for those night time trips to the bathroom.
There are very few items I would suggest for improvement, one certainly for the Buccaneer product is to provide an option for the MTPLM to be able to go up to 2200kg or 2500 kg. Another option to improve is better design to reduce the nose weight of the caravan to allow for bikes to be carried on the AFrame, currently today the design allows a bike carrier to be added, however to the existing nose weight being high, adding a bike carrier and bikes would make the nose weight too high.
Elddis has a great social media team always will to engage with and support existing and future Elddis Group Caravan owners.

I purchased a new Elddis Accordo 105 motorhome just over 2 years ago. I'm delighted with the quality of the vehicle and only had a few minor issues (as is normal with all new motorhomes) which were resolved professionally and promptly by Erwin Hymer (Elddis). The level of attention from customer services has been outstanding. In particular Allison and Jemma. I'm sure I have many years pleasure ahead from this motorhome but if I was to replace in future it would be Elddis.

Having owned 2x different Buccaneers in the past 5 years, first an Aruba for 4 years, and now a Bermuda for the past 16 months we have been overjoyed with these beautiful caravans.
Both have performed superbly, on collection day no snags could be found at all with either caravan, some minor snags occurred after multiple trips (imo to be expected) but all the small issues that did occur were approved under warranty quickly by Elddis and were rectified by the dealers with no fuss.
Both have been great layouts for our family and we enjoy the high spec and luxury that the range offers
Is there room for improvement? of course, my bugbear is the low payload allowance even with the upgraded MTPLM, I’d like to see the option of a much larger MTPLM such as 2200kg, I’d also like to see Alde Flow added to the standard specification, it would really add that final piece of luxury to the Caravan
If I was to change the caravan today, I’d be hard pressed not to buy another Buccaneer, they just tick every box, beautiful inside and out and we feel right at home in them

We have the chatsworth 155 motorhome. Absolutely love it. Luv the decor, the pop up seats for extra travellers, but then can be stored away when not in use. Had it over 2 years now and fingers crossed no major issues. Had a couple of brackets on wardrobe come loose but we have sorted ourselves. End of the day very good value for the money when you compare to other brands. My only niggle was snowflaking on a window after 15 months old but windows only have a year warranty. Already on the look out for newer models in the future.

We have a 2021 Crusader Zephyr caravan which we have had since new and we have had it serviced every year by an Elddis accredited engineer. This year damp readings are higher than they should be around the front nearside window. Our dealer has inspected it, sent details through to Elddis promptly and within a day we have been told "you need to contact Elddis as they have a problem with the information submitted by the service engineer" (different to the dealer due to location). Reading the reviews on here we are dreading what is coming next. The caravan has water ingress which is obviously a manufacturing fault but it's obvious that they are looking for reasons not to help put it right under warranty. Dreading what we are going to hear over the next few days.
