Like so many others, I am totally annoyed and disappointed. I purchased a book for $179 and was emailed later that day saying the book was shipped. Then, 4 days later, the tracking info was gone, and I received an email saying my money was refunded. That is fine, but what about the book? It still shows being for sale. I received no response to several emails I sent them. No chance I am wasting time with Ertode books again.

This can all be validated from orders via Amazon.
Twice ive bought the same book at a very reasonable price via amazon with free pnp.
Both times I was given 4 weeks delivery which from the USA > UK is reasonable as its no rush order.
Twice ive had to chase them for an update after 1 to 2 weeks of zero notification of dispatch.
Twice a quality issue has been given, Twice zero alternative is available and I was given a refund.

This seller constantly says they have a book only for it to be not in stock or defective. Do not remotely bother as they will disappoin.
Even raised a dispute via amazon chat saying which then continued 4 weeks after a refund with the seller questioning ( in a professional way) why i would not place any futures orders if they where the fulfillment agents.

Oh btw. The same book has now been listed for a 3rd time .
No idea of they live off the interest of an order or multiple orders without fulfilling the order or what but simply do not order and expect it to come.

Avoid at all costs no matter who they sell via.

They send false tracking numbers. Now I check all tracking numbers direct at supposed shipping company they give you. Comes back invalid. Fortunately Biblio refunded me. I wouldn't buy from Ergodebooks ever again they are not trustworthy.

Trustworthy and good price well packed and pretty quick postage to Australia.

I purchased a book in Jan this year from them on Amazon. The book was damaged and they accepted/ acknowledged the mistake. They offered a partial refund. When I accepted they refused as they said it was outside the return period.
EXTREMELY DISHONEST - DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Dreadful - buyer beware!! I placed an order with Amazon for a new book. I didn't realise it was a marketplace purchase and a 3rd party seller until the book arrived. I ordered and paid for a new book, was debitede $82.23, but received a damaged, second hand book and was provided a receipt for $20.77. Many attempts to get answers from Amazon.com, Amazon.au and Erodebooks has resulted in no replies.
Consequently I will cancel my account with any Amazon site.

I wrote a full review a few years back. I'm surprised this company has been allowed to remain in business. I went on full defense attack back then and took action and reported them..refusing to accept the loss. Needless to say I was refunded by them immediately. No matter 300 or 5 dollars..it's the principal of the thing. PayPal is great as they handle disputes. People don't accept non delivery...DO take action.

This company took my money for a book order in March of 2026. It's now July and I have not received anything. Multiple e-mail exchanges have been made , but I keep getting we cannot find your order bs! I have sent them every number I was sent, including shipping information and they just reply with a generic "we cant find your order"e-mail.

I specifically try to seek out the small, "grass roots" type places to make purchases NOT amazon or the like. Thought I had found the right place....I was wrong.
Sure my $ was used to support a "small business" which in turn upcharged
me, turned around and bought from amazon anyway.
Maybe this was just a one off but I will not be using this company again.

Iv read bad reviews about them and went ahead and ordered a book anyway. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. I got a great price on this book and thought too good to be true. Iv read they physical don’t have many of the books on hand, they outsource for them. They tell me my order is on its way 4 days ago and today they cancelled the order. They must have realized they’re losing money on this book when they found it and priced it. So don’t tell me my orders on it way when you haven’t even got the book. Zero stars if I could

Bought a book less then 3 weeks ago and book was delivered today from usa and i live in the netherlands. Pretty fast shipping and book in condition as described. Great experience. Would buy from again.

I’m giving this seller one star, because I can’t give them a half star.
On May 6 I purchased a book from Ergodebooks using the website Biblio. This was the second time I used Biblio, and that is a complaint for another post.
When I finally received the book purchased from Ergodebooks, it was damaged. The cover was torn in two places. More importantly, I paid over $300 for a BOOK CLUB EDITION!!!
Now, I am a collector, and this book by this author is hard to find. So the cost was worth it to me. But NOT for a book club edition! That sells online for $40. And Ergodebooks NEVER put in their posting on Biblio that this was a book club edition.
All I can say is, I’m through using Biblio. More importantly, you should avoid this particular bookseller.

They took my money, never sent the book. The tracking number wasn't real. And then I saw the book I had purchased advertized for more money by them again on another website.

Beware: this company is fraudulent. I purchased a book from them through Biblio.com and contacted them on Instagram. Someone named "Tom" told me the book that I purchased had been located. After several weeks, I still have not received the book and I was given a false UPSP tracking number. Do not do business with this scammer.

Another horrible experience with the notorious Ergode Books! The second time in as many months they have ordered a book from me which the USPS Tracking website confirmed they HANDED TO AN INDIVIDUAL only for Ergode to turn around and say they never received it and got a full refund. ERGODE IS AN INFAMOUS RIP-OFF FACTORY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Wish I could just block them from ordering from me.

Terrible condition for a book that was marked as "good". Heavily water damaged book to the point where I would throw it away. Company doesn't respond to emails. Definitely will not buy from Ergodebooks again! Avoid!

I am simply pleased that the book I ordered was a reasonable price and arrived quickly.

The books I received are in great condition. I’m impatient and thought they would arrive together. Silly me. I highly recommend this “bookstore “. It’s a treasure trove of great books.

Book arrived damaged. Torn dust cover, torn hard back damaged corners. Buyer has to pay postage to return, with a 15% fee. Disgraceful. Never again,
