Oliver was outstanding in helping me. I’m widowed and never have to remove a flush ceiling light unit to change the bulb before and didnt even know if the unit was removable to change the bulb or if the whole thing needed replacing. He sent me diagrams and explained it all to me over a few back and forth messages until I totally understood. I managed to do it really easily with his instructions and am super proud of myself. Huge thanks to his patience and the idiot-proof information he was able to provide me.

Excellent communication from Expertelectrical after ordering a new fan, super fast delivery too. This was even more impressive as it was bang smack in the middle of the horrid heatwave we had last week when everyone and their dogs were trying to order fans! Very reasonably priced too, unlike some other companies who were inflating their prices due to the heat!
I had an aftersales query, this too was responded to quickly and efficiently by their friendly team.
I have no hesitation in recommending Expertelectrical.

Fast delivery in the heatwave!
Got me a portable air conditioner delivered in just over 24 hours. Price wasn’t inflated unlike many competing retailers, and customer service was very responsive around timelines and order tracking.
Would highly recommend.

Website said 74 of the item i wanted to order in stock. Place order, pay. 20 minutes later get a phone call to say out of stock. As several people have left similar comments either lie about stock to drove web traffic and generate other sales, or just have a really not fit for purpose website and ordering system. Either way won't use again and wouldnt reccomend to anyone.
2 star rather than one as at least the did contact me and refund.

DON'T BUY HERE
I had a very disappointing experience with Expert Electrical. We ordered specific bulbs, but the wrong ones were sent. When we contacted them to resolve the issue, instead of acknowledging the mistake, 'Oliver' suggested that we change our fittings to suit the incorrect bulbs — which is completely unreasonable.
They then offered for us to return the items, but said we would have to cover the return shipping costs ourselves. The cost of shipping was actually higher than the value of the bulbs, making the return option impractical.
Overall, poor customer service and lack of accountability. I would not recommend purchasing from them.
Poor stock control, incorrect items, poor attitude
First and last time I will be using them. Ordered busman fuses, shown in stock but not all of them delivered. The rest turned up few days later but were a different (inferior) brand and no good to me. if I wanted to buy cheap fuses I could but I choose decent ones. When I complained they said they were the same thing as tghe more expensive ones. hmmm

I have been using this company for a few years now and have had nothing but a very good experience with them.
I only buy one product from them but do so regularly. With free delivery and very competitive pricing, they are a very valuable supplier and highly recommended.

I ordered a spotlight with a sensor
I ordered a spotlight with a sensor, clearly shown in the product description and even printed on the box. What I received was only a basic spotlight with NO sensor at all.
When I contacted the company, they told me I have to buy the sensor separately. This was never mentioned in the order, description, or packaging. If the sensor is not included, then don’t advertise it and don’t put it on the box. This is extremely misleading.
This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic: advertise a complete product for a good price, then send an incomplete one and ask for more money later. That is not honest business.
This has been a terrible experience. I completely regret buying from this company and I would strongly advise others to avoid them. You may find cheaper prices, but what’s the point if you don’t receive what you paid for?
Very disappointed. I will not buy from them again.

Failed to Meet Promised Delivery
I placed and order with DownlightsDirect and correspondence from both DownlightsDirect and Expert Electrical Supplies Limited.
Before I placed the order I called to check if all the items were in stock. I was advised that there was over 100 lights in stock and enough white bezels to fulfil my order. The black bezels were on order and DownlightsDirect / Expert Electrical Supplies Limited advised they checked with the manufacturer who held stock and they would follow within a few days.
My order was placed based on the above advice, I also paid extra for DPD NEXT DAY GUARANTEED delivery, so that I could fit the lights immediately.
Imagine my surprise to receive only three lights. What was the point of paying extra for next day delivery.
It appears that I was either deliberately misled, the staff were incompetent.
A very disappointing experience.
Be aware that they also trade as Expert Electrical Supplies Limited appears to trade as DownlightDirect

What a great company to deal with, my order was left at my front door by the Dpd driver so Dpd say? but wasn't there when I arrived, called Expert Electrical to investigate the delivery, don't think they got anywhere with Dpd customer services no surprise, but Edward organised swiftly to get replacement's sent out great service many thanks.

Is this a joke or what?!!!
I finally received my LED tape lights after 16 days but I'm satisfied with the reason(s) that was given. My original enquiry online were as follows:
"The following are my requirements:
(1) White dimmable, temperature adjustable LED strip tape - 3.30 m (cut to exact length). Need to have adhesive backing and dimmable (using a separate controller) and temperature adjustable. No requirement for IP65 rating. LED tape will be mounted in a straight run.
(2) Item 1 to be supplied with appropriate driver, connector etc. to be powered using a 3-pins plug for direct connection to mains. There must be a minimum 2 metres cable run (this can include the driver(s) in between) connecting one end of the LED strip to the 3-pins plug.
(3) Separate controller for temperature change and dimming.
Essentially, I need a "plug and play" system. "
Note the 'plus and play system'. You advertised that you're able to provide a bespoke system according to requirements. What I received were isolated items with bare wires (unconnected) and a 3-pin plug for me to connect myself. Is this a joke? How am I supposed to connect, and put, all these bare wires from the different bits together?
Will the sales manager explain? If this is not sorted out, I would like a refund!
REPLY TO MATT SMITH: The issue is not just with the 3-pin plug! I was supplied with a roll of LED tape soldered to a wire at one end and it would require a wire stripper to strip it down to reveal the copper bits. Then there is a standalone transformer with red/back wires sticking out on one side and a blue/brown wires on the other. And, I was given a controller with, what seems like another transformer, in an original packaging. How do you expect me to connect all these bits together without instructions or the tools? How am I supposed to even connect those copper wires between the different bits? This is not 'plug and play system' that I've asked for - they're bits and pieces. The only way I could get this to work is to pay for an electrician, which will cost me at least £160, to get all these wired up. If I knew this is going to be the case, even though I've stated the 'plug and play' requirement very clearly in my enquiry, I wouldn't have placed the order with Expert Electrical. I have not received your call as of this update.
