In Nov 21, (after much research) we choose Fairco Windows & doors in Santry to supply and fit our windows, sliding door and front door. At the outset ( and in every subsequent conversation thereafter we explained that we wanted our Windows in March 2022 as we had a family occasion in May. The order was placed with the sales Rep in early Dec and a surveyor conducted his full assessment a week later and the deposit and contract was paid.n January we were contacted to say the original grey colour was not available even though at the sales it was a common alternative to white. We were asked to choose another grey colour (from a colour sample book), as they couldn't provide us with a sample of the actual PVC. After a week or so they provided us with an address of a house that had another grey coloured window and we reverted the same day to say that we would accept that colour in our order. We confirmed again all was good for March and that the colour problem on their side did not impact us in anyway. The sales Rep said that all was in order when I double checked this and they had the windows ready before we even needed them! We had a family relative (builder) lined up to carry out work before the windows/doors would be fitted. This work while related to a window/door was to be done prior to the fit so Fairco just had to work with the measurement of an existing front door and back window.
In late January we contacted the sales Rep to get an exact date for the fit as we had to work with the builder and painter timelines as well. We explained that our builder had noticed that the measurement of the front door might not be right. We agreed with the sales rep that the surveyor would revisit and re-measure. he surveyor was arranged for a week or so later. He arrived an hour late and said the builder was supposed to be here. We explained that we had been very clear with the sales rep that no builder would be here waiting on him and the new door needed to be the exact same height as existing door and could he ensure this was the case. After a lot of persuasion from us showing that the original measurement were wrong The existing door was measured and adjustments were made to the order - again no issues with the order date.
We contacted the sales Rep in Feb to get exact fit day, we explained the story with the surveyors visit and he couldn't understand the confusion regarding the builder being on site. The sales Rep said he would revert the following week with the fit date. One week passed, two weeks, three weeks passed, we called and left messages explaining we were trying to co-ordinate other trades people. We called the office, promised call backs. An email was received from the installation team saying a date hadn’t been fixed yet as we had chosen a special colour.
We sent an emal back explaining our disappointment and that we had to choose another grey as the standard was not available and we outlined politely the issues with the service.
The MD responded to our email saying he didn't understand why we felt this was a bad service. We reverted politely and clearly explained the issues ( just in case he wasn't fully aware the promises made to us). We received a prompt response to say that he was refunding our money! Within 30 min the sales rep arrives at our door with a draft for our deposit. We had a robust conversation with him. No answer as to where our order was, what the issue was, when the windows could be supplied... the only cause was that the email we sent outlining our disappointment lead the MD to believe that the relationship could not be repaired… what a cop out to their mess up!
To say we were baffled was an understatement, I read the email in person to the Sales Rep and I asked him whether any of the 3 points made was incorrect or harsh he said no, they were valid. He said that he had sent emails chasing the order but no response ... I don't know if this is true or not. The sales agent even advised that we were nice customers , well we had a lot of choice words to say to the sales agent about his customer service and that of the MD. We requested a call back from the MD but never received one, no surprise there! To sum up Fairco messed up the order for sure and we are now at a loss and won’t have new windows and painting done for our family event. They have left us in a right mess. Don't be sold by the show room or the nice down to earth sales person .don't even get me started on the MD... these people don't no the meaning of a contract or customer service.. We are very tolerant people, but they would buy and sell you and make out your the problem when they messed-up and couldn't own up to it. We probably had a lucky escape you can imagine what their fitting and after sales service would be like .There was no way they would have refunded if the order if it was processed . Thanks FAIRCO, lets see if your in Business for the next 30 years !

In the strongest possible words, do not sign a contract with this horrific company. Abusive, inefficient and horrific to deal with. Sweet as pie until you sign the contract, and as soon as you do, they own you, and they know it. They refused to install the doors until we had paid 100% upfront, which was a breach of the terms of their own contract. As per the review below, their credit staff are aggressive and abusive, without any reason to be so. One week after this company installed our doors, we have asked one of their competitors to come around and replace the whole job. Horrific. We have invited their competititors to visit us and given rights to them to take photos to use their influence to help steer people away from Fairco for their own protection. I will be posting photos on smart reviews to show the horrific work they did and the contract they lied about when I signed it. Three weeks after the installation of the doors, we have a number of significant problems. Water is leaking in under the frame of the door to the inside, which is likely to damage my kitchen floors. The door is not opening or closing without our having to push it unreasonably hard and is making horrible squeeking sounds, the design of the door handle is likely to create personal injury as the handle is designed in such a way that it will hurt your fingers against the frame of the door if you don't move your hand fast enough when opening the door (senior citizens and young children are most likely to be hurt) to the point that we have had to put "bumper" stickers on it to try to lessen the injury which we believe will happen, and what was previously a 26" opening is now a 21" (approx) opening, so we can't get furniture which is in the home office out the back through the door any more. At the time of signing the contract, we paid Fairco extra money to fix some damage that had been to a pebbled wall along the border of the door frame, and even though we were clear we needed the pebbling to be the same color (or with as little variation as possible), the border is now a horrific dark grey, and the rest of the back of the house is white(ish). We emailed Fairco to advise them of the issues, and they arranged to sent their Chief Engineer, but not surprisingly, have since cancelled the appointment. Horrific. Videos and pictures will be put up on smart reviews to demonstrate why we believe you should NEVER retain this company to provide services that other more deserving providers can provide. Like other reviewers, we believe that the "good" reviews for this company are false.

Got whole house new windows done. Fairco fitters were great, did good job, very neat.

Fairco credit control were disgusting. Job finished on a day when I was at work. Fairco credit control rang me aggressively at work that day, demanding full payment that day before I had even got home or seen job or passed it. They had already been paid big deposit. They were paid in full following week when I had seen finished job. Won't use them again. Offensive.

Would not recommend. Parts were missing on the first day of installation. It took three additional visits and then the wrong colour part was fitted. 3 months later and the door still isn’t finished. The level of service went down once money was paid. Ignoring calls and claiming to not know about the defect, even though their fitter alerted them. We are getting new windows next year and definitely will not be using them. Very disappointed!

Hi I had my windows replace by Fairco and delighted with the job, however one of my windows was not closing properly in fairness somebody came out straight away and sorted it, now the window will not open and it is affecting the house alarm I have just been told by Susan I will have to wait 5 weeks my mother is 82 and I feel she should not have to wait that long it was suggested that I call an emergency lock smith for which I would have to pay for.

Very poor service....installed a sub standard set of doors and windows...Still waiting for them to complete their own snag list after over 12 months...keep away from this company their cowboys

We just got our whole house done 18 windows and doors in total. It took about a week and the final result looks great. We dealt with Linda in Sales who was great and could guide us on what looks well together. After we picked what we wanted the installation crew(lead by Victor and Frank) arrived a few weeks later and proceeded to start the job. They did our house room by room which was great. They cleaned as they went and were very neat and precise with their work. They informed us what work would be done first and what would be left until the end of the week. All in all very happy with the end result. House is cosier and warmer and the windows and door finishing looks great. I would definitely recommend Fairco and if your lucky enough to get Victor and Frank as fitters you will be very happy with their work.

In December 2019 Fairco service man came out to look at our french door. A new lock was needed. This is a lifestyle burglar proof door. I paid for the new lock in January 2020. This is November 2020 and I am still waiting for the lock. They sent out a service man couple of times with the wrong lock, and he wanted to modify the door to suit the lock. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I told him no. I have to keep chasing them, they don't come back to me unless they have to. Latest email and phone call is today 6/11/20. I also emailed the salesman. Fairco's maintenance department is non existant, they don't seem to care about their customer. My advise is don't buy products from this Company because of their lack of back up care for the customer and their products. I would give this company no stars because of this.

Having experienced the Shoddy Work of Fairco Windows And Doors, avoid this so called window and door company like the plague, don't be fooled by the reviews other people have put up, they were put up after my wife named and shamed Fairco Windows And Doors on Facebook, the owner is nothing but an arrogant, aggressive and dirty rotten liar of an individual ,he is known for his lies and also has other people telling them as you will see by their reviews, he has threatened my wife with court action on a number of times, other window companies are astonished at his actions, he had to many chances to resolve the ongoing issues but failed to do so, he would rather tell people that we wouldn't allow him to so which is a lie.

Never Buy From Fairco Windows And Doors, They Do Not Honour The Gaurantee, Because I Have Named And Shamed Them On Facebook And I Refuse To Take It Down, I Have Been Threatened With Court Proceedings, Still Waiting On The Court Papers To Arrive, After Paying This So Called Window And Door Company €14.726 In July 2012 For The Whole House To Be Done, Defects Started To Show Up In April 2016, The Whole House Had To Get A New Replacement In December 2016 Of Frames And Doors Using Existing Glass, It Took Them 8 Months For New Replacement, If The Truth Be Known, The Remedial Work From The New Replacement Wasn't Finished Till 22nd June 2017, Since More Problems Have Occurred Which Fairco Refused To Fix, They Are Accusing Me Of Not Letting Them Gain Access, Which Is All Lies, I Now Know The Owner Is Known For His Lies, He Is Nothing But A Dirty Rotten Liar Of An Individual, Thanks To A Former Staff Member Who Told Me This, I Would Hate To Hear Of Anyone Else Going Through What I Have And Still Am, The Stress And Strain Of Dealing With Fairco Windows And Doors Is Unrepairable, Don't Be Fooled By Their Reviews, Most Of Them Reviews Went Up After I Stood Outside His Premises On The Old Airport Road And Terenure, You Will Notice On Their Facebook Page That Comments Have Been Removed, They Have Me Blocked From Their Facebook Page Since July 2016, Other Window Companies Can't Believe The Treatment I'm Getting From Fairco, Since I Went Public About Fairco, I Now Know I Am Not The Only Person Who They Done Shoddy Work For, They Are A Laughing Stock Of The Window Industry, Avoid Like The Plague, Give Your Custom To A Company Who Values Their Customer.

Recently had windows installed by Fairco. Not only is their customer service first class but the installation team of Mark and Les went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done to the highest standard possible. Cant recommend Fairco enough (and you'll be lucky to have Mark and Les as your installation team)

I bought front and back door last January. 2 days after installation our back door started giving problems. The two previous times they came straight away to fix it In fairness but this 3rd time they haven’t booked us in for a week!! saying that they are very busy and nothing else can’t be done from their side. Such a disgrace! They are aware that our back door doesn’t close and being also the 3rd time that this happened I can‘y simply understand this company policy which it’s selling point is the safety of their doors.. truly ridiculous. I just wish I could find my initial review and retrieve from google so people are aware and look somewhere else. I actually quite concern of what would happen once warranty expires... Lesson to learn here never write your review so soon!

I bought Fairco doors, front and back 2 years ago. Since then, I have had to call out Fairco installers to fix the problems, at least 4 times. Today, the back door will not close....the metal strip seems to be damaged. I am a 70 year old lady living on my own and the earliest somebody from Fairco can come and fix these doors is next week and I am now TERRIFIED to go to bed tonight. This is absolutely disgraceful.....give me the old mortice reliable lock any day....disgustedly Beatrice Wicklow

My new windows and doors are fantastic. I can notice the difference already. The fitters were excellent.

The windows and doors are finished and they are absolutely fabulous! I'm so happy with them! Gary & Sam that were doing the windows are doors couldn't have been nicer or more professional, they are a credit to the company! I just wanted to say thank you for everything.

Despite numerous requests to fix door barrel where the key keeps turning not opening door, i even sent a video to show that i couldnt get into my house only 10 months after install, they say i need to position the inside at an anlge !! Ridiculous.. do not trust these people!!!

I've taken my review from Google reviews to repost in here to make sure all and any future customers may see this. Fairco operates a shady business that does not take criticism lightly, and are certainly not there for the customer but for themselves. Buyer beware, I urge any other potential client to look elsewhere. I'm not the only bad reviewer or Fairco, they've had plenty. So much so they removed the option to review on Facebook because of "Fake reviews".

I'm glad Fairco finally decided to allow reviews again, after taking them down because they didn't like people telling the truth. This company is a complete and utter scam. Initially it started off great with one of their reps taking all the time needed to allow us to choose our products. We were told we could pick what was installed first, that the workers would work around us, they would clean as they went, provide dust sheets and we were the primary concern. The installers arrived and informed us they were picking what was installed first, and laughed at us when we repeated what the rep had said.

They did not clean as they went, leaving thick dust everywhere and didn't use dust sheets, we had to provide them. They CRACKED the plaster in 4 different rooms above the windows and hid it wrapping the curtains around the poles where the cracks were.

We put the dogs in the back garden to keep them away from the workers, who then proceed to chip and empty buckets of debris and tile on top of them.

They stood over us and told us what to say on their review form being very intimidating. On the first day one installer spent an hour in our toilet and stank the house out. I'm not kidding when I write this, an hour in our bathroom with no apology.

They attempted to take our former mahogony Hall door and claimed they'd "recycle it" yeah right. Our new black door isn't black but a very dark brown, we complained and the office told us there's no such thing as a solid black door, ludicrous!

I had argument after argument with the manager in the office, phone call after phone call not returned pushing and pushing to get them to come back and repair all the damage they caused.

The final product? Needed to be fixed in the area of ten times in 8 months. Faulty door, doors dropping, drafts from windows, incorrectly installed silicone, pieces of pvc falling off - all for €10,000!

Fairco, you are a scrounge on Irish window installers, a scam of a company that cares only for money, and a blight on consumer trust. Anyone reading this, find an alternative and don't believe the crap this company feeds you.

We went to Fairco for our windows and doors. We didn’t know much about them as we live in Dun Laoghaire and they hadn’t done much business out here. We got 3 quotes from other companies but Fairco came in with the best quote and the option to take our old windows away which the other companies didn’t offer. Simon the sales guy was amazing, really knowledgable and helpful and when we went to the showroom in Santry, we were really impressed. Kevin came out to do our survey and he was equally knowledgable and so nice. We had a delay because of Christmas but that was fine and when the windows and doors arrived they were exactly as we had ordered.
There were a few snags which we listed and emailed. The customer service was first class, the guys came out to do the snags within a week.

About a week after the back door was fitted, it wasn’t closing properly, it was a Saturday and I emailed Fairco. I got a text from one of the fitters giving me a temporary solution and a fitter was here on Monday to fix.

I can’t recommend them more highly, a superb service and their customer service is fabulous.

I must say I'm surprised by the previous reviews as I had no problem with them when they fitted my windows. They did absolutely no damage to my decor and windows have been fine and that is about two years ago. I only paid a deposit beforehand and wouldn't be comfortable paying the whole thing either.
