Faith In Nature has been walking the walk since 1974. Founded by an aromatherapist and herbalist, we make eco conscious, natural origin products for skin, hair and home. We’re a B Corp and everything we make is at least 99% natural origin ingredients, vegan, cruelty-free, free from parabens and silicones. And we do it all in our founding spirit that Natural shouldn’t mean compromise. It shouldn’t cost more. And it should work just as well. Our belief, of course, is that it works even better. Everyone’s jumping on the big green bandwagon now. In some ways, that’s great. In others, it makes it even harder to know who to trust. That’s where our 52-year history matters. You can’t buy trust. Eco image doesn’t save terrible products!
I’ve absolutely wasted my money.
I really wanted to like Faith in Nature, but the products I’ve just bought and tried have been a complete letdown.
The Coconut Face and Body Cream feels like slathering on Sudocrem — thick and chalky — except it somehow absorbs fast and still leaves your skin even drier than before.
The Coconut Body Wash is just as bad; there’s not a trace of coconut scent, only a flat, synthetic smell that’s anything but tropical.
The Argan and Shea Shampoo smells awful and leaves hair feeling like straw — dry, rough, and stripped, even when wet. The matching conditioner is so thin and watery that I needed loads of it just to coat my hair, and it still offered no detangling or softness at all. My hair ended up dull, dry and tangly.
Faith in Nature loves to talk about being kind to the planet, but says very little about how good its products actually are. And for a brand built on “natural” values, using Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate isn’t much of a moral victory — it’s no better than SLS when it comes to harming aquatic life. It feels like the company cares more about marketing eco-credentials than making products that genuinely work.
A company can collect as many Eco-certifications as it likes (the bar for most is low), but the products speak for themselves.
No matter how much prior deep diving and review reading we do, unfortunately, until we buy them, we have no real sense of how these products work. Trial or miniature versions would let customers test before committing to the expense.
Safe to say that I won’t be using Faith In Nature ever again, and I most certainly will never recommend it to anyone.
A real, real shame.

In terms of our coconut range having a chalky texture and no fragrance, this isn't something we receive reports of - it's one of our most significant scents, so we would love to be able to investigate the specific batch for you to determine why this was your experience. If you could send the Batch code (on the back of the bottle) to support@faithinnature.co.uk, the team will open an investigation into the product and our Quality and Technical teams will extensively test it for suitability or any differences compared to our other batches.
Our products are SLS free. We do use ALS in our shampoos, body washes and hand washes. ALS is considered a safe and effective cleansing agent and is biodegradable. Virtually 100% of this base is immediately removed from the skin or hair by the simple act of rinsing with water.
All of our formulations are biodegradable to ensure that they are gentle on the planet as well as your skin. Our formulations have been developed so that they break down quickly, minimising the impact they have on the environment and helping to protect aquatic wildlife.
Please be assured that achieving certification in in the areas that we have is a lengthy and detailed process that requires years worth of data verification and evidence to be passed by governing boards.
We're sorry to have lost you as a customer, but should you wish to return, our team will be more than happy to help in finding the right formulation to suit your hair needs.

Disappointed contains Ammonium Lauryl
Disappointed contains Ammonium Lauryl Sulfat. I thought (wrongly so) that being all natural it would have been free from it. But Ammonium Lauryl Sulfat is considered bad for hair, can strip natural oils, leading to dryness, frizz, and damage to hair & scalp leading to itchines. Very disappointed and a waste off money. I've learnt a lesson to not just trust but to read all ingredients infuture. Have stopped.

We do not use damaging sodium laureth sulphate (SLES), or sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) in any of our products. Whilst our conditioners, hair masks and haircare bars are sulphate-free, we do use ammonium lauryl sulphate (ALS) in our shampoos, body washes and hand washes. ALS is considered a safe and effective cleansing agent and is biodegradable. Virtually 100% of this base is immediately removed from the skin or hair by the simple act of rinsing with water.

Products are lovely, delivery is not
Products and company are lovely. The scents are fresh, natural and none I've tried have been too overpowering or too understated.
The performance of the courier they chose was unfortunate.... the delivery was dismal, with dented metal bottles meaning they could not be gifted or really appreciated. I probably should have, but I left it late and decided not to complain as I do trust the company, other than their choice of courier.

I love the Faith in Nature Wild Rose…
I love the Faith in Nature Wild Rose hand wash so much I’ve bought a 5 litre bottle!
It’s the only hand wash that doesn’t irritate my skin and it smells gorgeous. What more could I ask for?
I used to get my own bottle refilled at a local shop but moved and couldn’t find it.
So I decided I never wanted to be without and got a big one!
