This works really well
This works really well. They even send me notifications to remind me of upcoming payments. All these one star reviews are idiots with no reading comprehension, or who have maxed out their credit card and blame float for reserving the full amount because now they cannot live off it anymore. Easy intrest free installments!

Pointless and misleading service
Pointless and misleading service.
Refund still not processed, a month later. On top of that, they have continued to take further payments.
This all comes after a month long back and forth between myself and the merchant and myself and Float, who was completely unhelpful, despite receiving multiple cancelation confirmations from the merchant who processed it immediately (A MONTH AGO).
An utterly egregious experience - it should not be possible for a company to exist and operate in this manner.

We understand how frustrating it is when a refund is delayed — especially when you've taken the right steps.
To clarify, Float does not approve or initiate refunds. Returns or refunds must happen directly with the merchant where you made your purchase. They will process your request within their normal refund/return policy. Once the merchant has approved the refund, they will notify us and we will adjust your instalment plan or refund money back to you.
We can confirm that your refund was processed and that no further deductions will go off your account.

If I could give no star rating I would. Do not use Float as they debit whenever they feel like it. Even contacting them does not help. They debited the whole amount after knowing the debit date was a week sooner than the purchase.

This service is a scam and they do false advertising. They will take the entire amount of the purchase and not the installments you see which beats the whole purpose of this service. Ohh and the refund process is hell. I WANT MY MONEY!!

You have not been charged the full amount. At the time of purchase, the full purchase amount gets reserved on your credit card, but only the first interest-free instalment will be charged. A reserve is a hold against the credit you have available to spend, it is not a charge and completely interest-free. This ensures that you do not overspend and helps you to meet your monthly instalment. As you pay each monthly instalment, the amount reserved will reduce to the remaining balance of the purchase until your purchase is fully paid.
To clarify, refunds with Float are initiated once the merchant where you made your purchase processes and approves your return or refund request. After the merchant notifies us of the approved refund, we adjust your instalment plan or refund the amount back to your credit card.
Please note that the actual time it takes for the refunded amount to reflect in your account can vary depending on your bank's processing times, typically taking 5–7 business days.
In your case, we processed the refund on May 21, 2025, which was a day after your purchase.
