A little worried
Firstly, you advertise that the amount is taken off monthly from my credit card but this is not the case. The whole amount was deducted and it shows on your website that I still owe the full amount less one installment. Also, when going onto your site, there is no breakdown of the installments...

At the time of purchase, the full purchase amount is reserved on your credit card but not charged. Only the first interest-free installment is charged upfront, and the remaining installments are charged monthly on the same date as your first payment.
The reserve (also known as a pre-authorization) is a hold against the available credit on your card, not a charge, and it is completely interest-free. This ensures that you can meet your installment repayments without overspending on your card. As you pay each installment, the reserved amount reduces to reflect the remaining balance of your purchase until the purchase is fully paid.
Your bank may also send a SMS notifications when funds are reserved, and the reserve may appear as “pending” or “uncleared” in your account.
We can assure you that this is explained on our website, FAQs and shopper agreement.

Think of it like an interest-free ‘budget facility’. Float does not issue loans, but rather work with your existing bank and credit card limit.
