Had new windows fitted recently and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The team arrived right on time, and from the start, they were friendly, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. It’s always great to see tradespeople who actually enjoy their work — the atmosphere was upbeat, with a few laughs along the way, but they still worked efficiently and kept everything clean and tidy.
The windows themselves look fantastic — quality finish, no mess left behind, and the fit is perfect. It’s made a real difference to the warmth and look of the house. You can tell these guys take pride in what they do.
Big thanks to the team — happy workmen really do make for happy customers!

Extortionate quote and typical sales technique nonsense
We had a guy cold call at the house regarding our porch, we said we weren’t looking to any time soon but happy for him to set up an appointment for someone to come and have a look so we could get an idea of costs. He said be no problem the quote would be valid for 12 months. A different guy showed up the following week and had a look, asked us how much we thought it would be (silly sales technique), laughed/scoffed at my husbands guess and said it would be £4600 for a front door, and 4 normal porch sized windows. He said the door alone was £2000 (ridiculous, I know). When we said we weren’t interested in spending that much when we have other house jobs we’d like to do first, suddenly they had 20% off and it was now £3900. He was pushing us regarding spreading the cost. We asked for a copy or something of the quote so we can think on it, he said they don’t do that and the door guys will say anything at the door, gave us his card and abruptly left. I promptly put his card in the recycling, with no interest in using this company. I’m not sure if it’s because we’re a young couple he thought he could take advantage, but speaking to experienced homeowners they were shocked at the cost which told us we did the right thing in not entertaining it.

Superb design and excellent workmanship
Superb design, excellent and efficient workmanship. The reconstruction of our front porch and door, and the windows of the adjoining room, was carried out to perfection. The result looks superb!! The workman were polite, helpful and very knowledgeable. This was a great experience for us and we are really pleased and really grateful.

bay window replaced…
we had to have a bay window replaced and decided to use Fortuna home solutions to supply and fit the bay and we are so glad we did, the team of 2 men arrived promptly on the day arranged and both men were very proffesionalthat everything they done seemed to just work they also cleaned up after themselves and was a joy to witness their professionalism will definitely be recommending this family company to friends and family.

I am delighted with my new windows and the excellent service provided by Fortuna Home Solutions. Totally professional but very friendly service throughout. A pleasure to deal with. Huge thanks to Alan who surveyed the windows then fitted them on a very cold day with great good humour. The windows are excellent and were beautifully fitted. Alan was extremely punctual and cleared up everything immaculately afterwards. Thank you also to Errol who visited initially and worked out what was needed. BEWARE WHEN USING THIS COMPANY
Two years ago we had 11 windows and a front door fitted. We have had various workmen coming since installation to repair ongoing problems. In March 2024 I rang once again to report another problem and was promptly told by the receptionist that it was a new company and to go through the ombudsman. I found out that because I paid by credit card my IBG could not be used. I used section 75 consumer credit act. By doing this I had to get a survey. I was appalled and shocked that the survey said that ALL of the windows had been bent during installation to make them fit. There were doubt also by the surveyor that the angles on the windows were out probably due to the manufacture thus them being bent to fit the space. We always had whistling when the wind blew. Although they claim to be a new company it is still owned by the same people on companies house. BEWARE WHEN USING THIS COMPANY.
The reply is typical of a company that went into liquidation and set up again with a slightly different name but with all the same directors. Phone number and address is the same, the only change after liquidation is Fortuna Home solutions from Fortuna plus Ltd. Easy way out to go insolvent leaving lots of customers with ongoing problems

Why uPVC Can't Be Bent on Installation:
Rigid Structure: uPVC is designed to be strong and maintain its shape. Attempting to bend it without proper heating and shaping tools will compromise its integrity.

STEER CLEAR!
2 years ago in November 2022, I had a new conservatory roof fitted. I had a few teething problems which I wasn't at all happy about, but they were eventually sorted out. Then through the winter there was so much condensation on the windows, the curtains became mouldy and there was mould on the walls. The same thing happened last year and I guess it will happen again this year too.
When I spoke to a man called Cam, I was told that the roof should not have been fitted because the windows had no vents, because of their age. THEN without seeing my windows, he wanted to drill ventilation holes in my window frames without knowing if my style of windows were suitable or not, to have ventilation holes. He wanted to charge me £75 and sign a disclaimer form!!!!! I decided against this because I had no confidence in what I was being told over the phone nor that the suggested solution would actually resolve the problem of the amount of condensation that has been present since Fortuna fitted my new roof.
I found it very difficult to contact them afterwards to try and sort this out.

A roof replacement focuses on improving insulation, not ventilation, and if the frames do not allow proper airflow, condensation can naturally occur.
It also sounds like the conservatory might be used as a habitable room, as you mention curtains. If that’s the case, it’s important to note that conservatories aren’t designed to function like traditional living spaces, and overuse without proper ventilation can exacerbate issues like condensation and mould.
To help mitigate the problem, you might consider:
Ensuring the space isn’t over-cluttered, as this can restrict air circulation.
Regularly opening windows or using dehumidifiers to increase airflow and reduce moisture levels.

Rude and awful customer relations
Luckily didn’t use this company but based on other reviews, my brief experience seems consistent with others.
Door to door salesman knocked today and asked if we were interested in windows, when I said no thank you he laughed and made a snide comment about the appearance of our house. Very rude and unpleasant man, I will be sure to tell everyone to avoid them.

Over the moon!
Resin driveway …..after checking the reviews we made an enquiry and were visited by a rep. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a good price. They did the work very quickly, left it clean and tidy and the rubble was take away with 24 hours. We are over the moon with the end product. We have just had them back to fit a new composite door and again they did an excellent job. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.
