FreeTrain website was easy to use.

FreeTrain website was easy to use.
Product quality is great.
Only downside was FreeTrain was brilliant but couriers were slow! Ordered on the Monday FreeTrain sent order to couriers straight away then Evri took 4days killing 2day delivery stated on the website

My vest came with the zipper missing off the backpack part of the vest emailed and contacted through the website 4 weeks ago and still no reply

I ordered the free train hydro

I ordered the free train hydro 2 & the delivery was quite fast which I was happy about and I’ve used the vest once and one the the stickers on the phone holder has all cracked& after one use this just isn’t on.. I’d expect it after a good few uses but one! But the issue I have is that I’ve emailed twice to see if they can rectify this issue and I’ve just been ignored! So if your thinking of ordering a free train vest I wouldn’t bother as the customer service is very poor and the product isn’t great either.

SCAM

You'll get a promo code for 15% discount on your first order, except it wont work. After that you are charged extra for a shipping, which I am cool with. After few days from the payment I received another email to pay extra for the shipping one more time. Seems like a really huge scam

The initial shipping charge covers packaging, handling, and delivery. For international orders, any further customs duties or import fees are set by the destination country and not something we control or benefit from.

First time i tried it on the clip on…

First time i tried it on the clip on the front came off, had to attach it to one of the other loops. Have only used it carrying my phone but have a 24hr event on Saturday. Hoping its going to be up to the job.

I purchased in June and while I was…

I purchased in June and while I was running on the track, the button popped off and I had to stop running to take off the vest because the phone was hanging down. I contacted to explain about this and the reply was to send a new vest. After then ,I never heard about anything even if I contacted a few times. I have purchanged gym clothes since women line was selling. I am very disappointed how they deal with
this. I would not purchase again.

Bought the hydro 2 vest. Fell apart after 4mins of running.

Bought the hydro 2 vest. Went on my first run with vest, within 4 mins the phone holder stitching came away from the phone clip. Thankfully phone didn’t fall out but this left me so frustrated and disappointed. Currently training for a half marathon so rubbish experience from the get go with this vest. From a brand new garment I did not expect this poor quality. Currently in the process of getting it sent to them so they can investigate. I have requested a brand new product and free delivery. If the replacement (assuming I get one) is the same unfortunately I won’t be buying from them again. I have read a number of reviews afterwards and this has happened a few times. I hope they can use much stronger fixing of the phone holder rather than some strings to keep it strong. It’s a garment used for movement so why it isn’t the case at the moment is very surprising. They’re design/manufacturing team need to do a better job. Let’s see what comes from from them for my returned product.

Upgraded a previous purchase to the latest version. I haven’t tried it yet, but the quality is excellent and delivery was very prompt. Looking forward to testing it out on a run.

Quality is poor

Quality is poor, used it once then washed it and some of the stitches came out and someone the red fell off.

Nice product. Early fault.

Nice product, but on only my second run the phone holder clip broke from the material. Clearly more resistance in the clip than in the stitching

I love the freetrain vests

I love the freetrain vests, I have had a V1 for a long time. They are exceptional running vests that are actually comfortable. The website is really easy to use and order from and I was extremely lucky to get two of the V2 vests.

2x faulty running vests

2x faulty running vests, the first one the phone holder was stitched up and the second one the button for the phone holder didn’t work, sent them proof with pictures and video of the issues.
They asked me to return the items so I could get a refund, they then said they had never received the items back even though we had delivery note from evri to say that they have received. Terrible service!

We understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter issues with your items, and we’re sorry again that the original vest didn’t meet expectations. Upon reviewing your case, we can confirm that a replacement was sent as requested at the beginning of the year.

Unfortunately, the return was not processed correctly, as it was sent back without the required order details or following the provided return instructions. This made it extremely difficult for our team to identify and match the return to your original order or verify it coming back to us, despite this, we continued to investigate and monitor the situation in good faith.

To ensure a fair resolution, and even though the order was placed six months ago, we issued store credit for the full value of the product. We genuinely believe we’ve done our best to resolve the matter fairly and beyond our standard policy.

Mixed Experience – Great Fit but Quality Needs Work



I’ve had a mixed experience with Freetrain. The hybrid shorts are a standout – really good fit and I love wearing them. The t-shirts are also excellent, great quality and feel.

However, there are quite a few quality issues across other items. I had to return my running jacket because the pocket broke – only for the same thing to happen on the replacement. The vest bottle holder developed a hole after just four outings, and the zip regularly sticks. Logos on both the shorts and t-shirts started peeling off within weeks.

Another disappointment is that the shorts I originally bought for £35 (great fit, great colours) now cost £70 and come in dull, uninspiring colours.

Love the fit and feel of some of the gear, but for the price, the durability and quality control really need improvement.

This level of detail and craftsmanship is reflected in the price.
