Outstanding from start to finish
Outstanding from start to finish! As I was looking to replace two benches that were starting to fall apart I was looking for something more robust.
I tried various sites but nothing rivalled the choice and quality offered here for the price so I went ahead and ordered.
Communication could not be faulted and delivery expectations were set and surpassed when the driver rang me to say that he could not reach our house (a very narrow bridge on the lane) I went to him and he helped me to unpack the benches to get them in the back of the car and waited as I had to make two trips and he also took the packaging away.
The icing on the cake was that the benches which are very sturdy and great quality came complete - I was dreading d-i-y 😁

I chose a beautiful 5 seat teak set, ordered on a Wednesday and selected delivery for a Friday. When the logistics company decided not to deliver, I called Sloane and sons and spoke to Edward. Within 30 mins, he’d arranged for a separate courier to collect the furniture from the existing courier to deliver to me as promised! Exceptional customer service, thank you!

One delighted partner
I bought a bench as a Christmas present but it remained boxed for several months until our English climate finally changed to a sunny warm disposition. Assembly was very straightforward taking around 20 minutes with two people, one to hold the pieces in position whilst the dowels were punched into position. The end result? My partner was absolutely delighted!

Utter rubbish
Utter rubbish. Bought a bench which was for a memorial purpose 8 yrs ago. Every year I've cleaned and varnished this to maintain its look but also water resistance. Tonight it completely collapsed and is basically firewood now. These benches are not a B&Q proce point and as such expected to get decent lifetime out of them. I was wrong. Potential buyers look elsewhere. They're rubbish

Hello Gary,
Your bench was delivered on 1 December 2017 after you took advantage of our Black Friday sale. I note that the bench has now been in your possession for over eight years.
In your 2026 review, you state that you have "cleaned and varnished every year to maintain its look and water resistance." The honest answer is that we have never recommended varnishing our teak furniture. In fact, quite the opposite. Teak naturally contains oils that help protect the timber, and applying varnish effectively seals the wood, preventing it from breathing as intended. Over an extended period outdoors, this can trap heat and moisture and contribute to the depletion of the timber's natural oils.
If you can point me to anywhere on our website, within our care instructions, or even a recording of a telephone conversation where we recommended varnishing our teak furniture, I will happily arrange a replacement bench free of charge despite the fact that the original is now over eight years old.
Had you referred to our care guidance, or contacted us at any point during the last eight years, we would have advised against varnishing and explained the correct maintenance procedure.
With that in mind, I do feel that describing the bench as "utter rubbish" and stating that "they're rubbish" is somewhat unfair. The bench has provided over eight years of service and has been maintained in a manner contrary to our recommendations throughout that period.
When I first saw the review posted late on a Saturday evening, I genuinely thought it might be a wind-up from a friend. Our live records only go back seven years, but after searching our archives I was able to locate your original order and confirm the delivery date.
I am genuinely sorry that the bench has not met your expectations. However, after more than eight years of outdoor use and annual treatment with a product we have never recommended, I do not believe this experience is representative of the performance customers can reasonably expect from our furniture when it is cared for in accordance with our guidance.

Absolutely delighted with my two new garden chairs. Sloane and Sons promise next day delivery and they did just that. The chairs are really good quality, just as described and although flat packed were super easy to put together, just in time for bank holiday. This was my first purchase from this Company but would buy again.

Excellent memorial bench provided exacty in accordance with our request
Company was well advertised via Internet search and was clear on what could be provided.
On making contact their representative, Callan, listened to what I wanted and provided good advice on various options, price and delivery period.
A delivery date was agreed and our specific restrictions on delivery time and date were catered for.
Delivery was made exactly at the agreed time and we were notified on the day of the exact time to expect delivery.
The bench once received was exactly as we requested.
Delivery paperwork including confirmation of receipt, completed invoice and maintenance instructions were all wel presented

Wedding present bench
I found the perfect wedding present bench on the excellent website. Then I phoned to discuss it. Callan responded and instantly understood that I wanted engraved names, dates and a Maclachlan crest. He organised the artwork which was perfect. I then decided to order a birthday gift chair with lettering and family crest. All of it was done, packed and delivered to a country address exactly on time and the delivery guy couldn't have been more helpful - in the rain! It was all unpacked at 40th birthday party last Sunday surrounded by friends and family and everyone is thrilled to bits. Fabulous quality, fabulous company and superb customer service. The customer service and help that I have recieved from this company from start to finish has been amazing.
I first got booked in to view a copy of my bench that was interested in, assembled and got to test for comfort. I loved the bench even more in real context so rang up to ask if able to get the bench assembled and then delivered. Yes they could do that as well... Dan the delivery driver was fab he managed to carry bench to my garden and carefully placed where it was to live! All fab fab fab! Love my new bench and can't recommend Sloane and Sons anymore they just Fab!

Lovely helpful staff & great product
I ordered a teak bench for my husband’s Christmas present. I was informed at point of purchase it would be delivered when the shipping order arrived. The company or to be exact, Callan, kept me in the loop and as soon as it arrived in their warehouse asked me what day I’d like delivery. I suggested several but the first was in 48 hours. Do 48 hours later, I was the first drop off and Dan in his van had driven all the way from Derby to deliver at 9.30am. Absolutely delightful delivery chap who gave lots of great advice regarding treatment etc. charming staff, great service, terrific delivery by the company and not dhl or another third party. Very chuffed with the bench - just need the rain to stop to enjoy it.

Good quality and value for money, classic design
The benches were delivered and put in place and look really good. Definitely good quality, such good value for money. They look like they will really last.
When I order next time, I might ask if they can supply without their metal name badge, but this can be easily removed if wanted.

Brilliant benches and great customer service
Just fantastic. I purchased 2 large benches in mid-December and they were in place within the week. There was great communication between myself and the company via email and phone. On delivery the company could not have been more helpful. This was crucial as the benches were being delivered to a public space and I am out of the country. Callan was a complete Star and we were able to liaise with him. The effort made around scheduling, was hugely appreciated. Dan the driver kept us informed and arrived on time. The situation meant that tight communication was essential and it all worked smoothly due to the professionalism and customer care demonstrated by Callan and Dan. The benches arrived and were put in position as planned and the team, who were waiting for delivery were able to fix them on arrival. Worked like a dream. I can't recommend this company highly enough. The benches look great, are sturdy and if I get the chance I will be purchasing another two! Thanks all!
