Whilst we had a very difficult sale, Abdul worked incredibly hard to keep us informed and to press our buyers throughout. Trying to keep the process as fluid as possible and aired our frustrations with an unduly lengthy process on our buyers side. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again. Appreciate his patience in completing the process and dealing with our exasperation!

Just want to say Abdul and Isaac are two of the best solicitor I have come across , I have had the pleasure of working with both now for some time and I can’t fault either of them , constant communication, updates and always happy to to help. Could not reccomend them enough !

I did get other quotes from the internet for a simple cash transaction conveyance, no searches needed, these came across ok and the person I had initial response from was not pushy and was prompt with replies but since I had a problem Lewis Rabbani has fallen off the radar and no longer replies to e mails.
Being married the transaction was always going to in both of our names and this was discussed in the original quote but our allocated solicitor did not pick up on this until paperwork was ready then it cost us hundreds of pounds for the other parties solicitor to re write the paperwork, once everything was ready, we were hit with e mails for the wrong amounts as the deposit paid had not been deducted, then we were charged for other fees that were never mentioned until completion day, the original quote went from £1050 to almost £3000 with no pre warning of charges or any explanation, we felt like unless we paid, the transaction would fail and cost us more money.
Once we were informed of completion we were told to collect the keys for our purchase, they never understood that we had never gained access to the property and who was we to get keys from ?, this being a Friday at 4.20pm and our solicitor finishes at 4.30pm we were then left in limbo all weekend, Monday morning no response so we had to force entry only to be told later that day that a local estate agent had a key.
We will be taking this further and expected a better service than what we received, all their paperwork on quotes says “Transparent Fees” do they mean you can’t see them until the end ? Who Knows ?

My experience with GD Property Solicitors during our house purchase was extremely disappointing and frustrating from start to finish.

One of my biggest concerns was the lack of transparency regarding costs. The initial quote appeared competitive, but by the end of the transaction the final bill was significantly higher than expected. Various additional charges were added throughout the process, and there was little effort to clearly explain or remind us of potential extra costs if circumstances changed, such as amendments or changes to the completion date. Instead, when queried, we were simply referred back to documents we had previously signed. This felt more like a tactic to justify unexpected fees than a genuine effort to keep clients informed.

Another issue was being charged for mortgage offer amendments. After securing a better interest rate and providing a revised mortgage offer, we were charged additional fees simply because the offer had changed, despite there being no meaningful work undertaken at that stage. It gave the impression that any opportunity to charge extra would be taken.

Throughout the transaction, I felt that their role was largely limited to forwarding documents and expecting us to interpret complex legal information ourselves. When we raised enquiries and asked for clarification or professional opinion, we were often told that they could not advise and were simply passing on the information. As a client paying for legal expertise, I expected guidance, interpretation, and practical advice—not just document administration. Much of the information provided could have been obtained directly from the Land Registry or other sources at a fraction of the cost.

The overall impression was that client service and support were secondary to generating fees. Purchasing a property is one of the most significant financial commitments many people will ever make, yet at no point did I feel that GD Property Solicitors appreciated the importance of the process or acted in our best interests.

I also found the presentation of the final invoice confusing and difficult to understand. The way fees, expenses, and VAT were allocated raised questions and made it harder to clearly identify what we were actually being charged for.

Based on my experience, I would not use GD Property Solicitors again and would not recommend them to friends, family, or colleagues. In fact, I would advise others to carefully review all terms, conditions, and potential additional charges before instructing this firm.

I worked with Abdul on the sale of my property, I honestly cannot thank him enough or recommend him enough. His work ethic is unmatched, always going above and beyond and I will always come back to him for any transactions I have in the future.

We had an excellent experience with GD Legal, particularly with our solicitor, Taimoor Afza.

Our sale became unexpectedly complex towards the end due to a title and boundary issue which required a TP1 to be agreed between neighbouring properties before completion. Throughout the process, Taimoor was professional, responsive and consistently focused on finding practical solutions to keep the transaction moving.

He explained everything clearly, kept us well informed and worked hard to coordinate multiple parties under considerable time pressure. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to complete what had become a very challenging transaction.

Our experience with GD was terrible.

Communication was consistently poor, responses were extremely slow, and we often had to chase repeatedly for the most basic updates. The process became far more stressful and time-consuming than it needed to be.

There were points where we genuinely believed the purchase of our house was at risk because of their delays and lack of communication.

Although their fees were slightly cheaper, the “saving” was nowhere near worth the stress, frustration, and extra work they created for us. We would absolutely not use this firm again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable conveyancing service.
