I found that using the AKKO Cell phone insurance app to correspond with AKKO was not very responsive but using the desk top browser had very good response chat times; sometimes almost immediately!

Once the necessary claims documentation was submitted, it was very quickly sent to my designated payment source!

This was our first claim with AKKO in the 3 yrs we have had them as cell phone insurance and will continue to use them!!!!!

It is a pretty easy claim process

It is a pretty easy claim process. Just be sure when you do the video to capture the Akko app open so they can see their device number. It was a very smooth and fast reimbursement.

Great customer service

Akko’s customer service is very courteous and responsive. I feel confident in having my devices protected through the everything plan I pay for. It was pretty easy to file a claim and get help.

Never again

First, there isn't anyone you can speak to, and the other modes of communication are woefully lacking in responsiveness. I have waited days to get a text response, and the response repeats a previous response or asks for additional documentation previously sent.

Upon reviewing your case, our team discovered that when your communication transitioned from our chat messenger to a text message, it was inadvertently routed to a test account that is not monitored by our live support team. As a result, your messages were not seen or responded to in a timely manner.

Our product and engineering teams are actively working on a solution to prevent this routing issue from recurring. While we know that doesn’t excuse the delay and frustration you experienced while we resolved your claim, we appreciate your feedback, which helps us enhance our service and ensure a smoother experience for our customers in the future.

BEWARE

BEWARE! DO NOT BUY PHONE INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY'RE FRAUDS! THEY STOLE 4 YEARS WORTH OF MONEY FROM ME AND CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT JUST TO REJECT PAYOUT OF MY PHONE WHEN I NEEDED THEM TO REIMBURSE PHONE. THEY'RE SCAM ARTISTS TRYING TO COLLECT MONEY FROM YOU AND WILL NOT INSURE YOUR PHONE!!! WARNING!!!

We wanted to take some time to provide some extra context for your claim. After an in-depth review of your account activity and submitted documentation, your plan was canceled due to a violation of our Terms and Conditions, section 4.10.

Specifically, during your recent theft claim, you provided the ID of an individual other than yourself and account information was changed during the review process in a way that conflicted with our policy. Our plans are designed to cover a single individual and their devices, and our support and claims processes rely on accurate and consistent account information. Customers may not use their account to cover another person’s item.

As a result, your protection plan was terminated in accordance with our membership agreement.

We understand that this decision may be frustrating, but AKKO has a responsibility to protect the integrity of our service and ensure fairness for all members. If you believe new information was overlooked, you're welcome to contact our support team for further review.

AKKO has my back

Knowing that AKKO has my back is truly comforting. Life happens and sometimes we can’t prevent incidents, specially with a cellphone that’s something we carry everywhere! I wish deductibles were a bit cheaper, but I’m absolutely happy with the help I’ve received from AKKO every time I needed.

Quick and easy

Quick and easy! My iPad was destroyed, and after filing a claim, since it was damaged beyond repair, they provided the option for a PayPal payout sent directly to my account to purchase a verified Amazon refurbished model at the current listed cost. I was then provided with a label to return the old device.
