DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They sell tickets for a service that does not exist leaving passengers stranded. They then refuse to take responsibility and return the fare. What a fraud

Absolute rip off and scammers

Absolute rip off and scammers. I booked 2 tickets from Baska Voda to Split and as soon as I completed the transaction I realised was for the wrong day and they refused to change my ticket or refund me so ended up paying twice. My advice, pay the driver direct and it's 25% cheaper.

Amazing service!

Purchase was easy but customer support was AMAZING! Laura and Natalija from Croatia's office helped every step of the way to first help me turn my existing ticket into a voucher, and then finally issue a refund when I wanted to cancel my ticket in the end. There was no fuss, no stalling, everything was done very professionally and quickly and refund arrived to my card within a few days after communication. I will recommend GetByBus to all my friends and family, much better service than other well known bus travel companies.

Excellent, prompt, clean and no issues. Highly recommend.

Based on previous reviews, we were very sceptical and somewhat anxious of the coach services and route. However, to our pleasant surprise, we had no issues and the journey was smooth, prompt, comfortable and quite easy. Our tickets were €32 each on BusTicket4 site, for Centrotrans Coach, for an overnight coach transfer from Tivat, Montenegro to Sarajevo, Bosnia. I would highly recommend the service, based on my excellent experience. As British tourists, the coach service was very similar to the National Express. The Tivat coach station was clean, air-conditioned and comfortable. The staff at coach station were very helpful and kind. The man informed me that the coach would leave 15 minutes early, so we had ample time and communication. In addition to this, the coach drivers were helpful. They charged €1 per bag stored in the coach hold. Given we departed from Tivat, I recall there were three additional stops (Budva and some others) in Montenegro, before the journey into Sarajevo, Bosnia. The driver was cautious, drove extremely well and we encountered no issues. He made a bathroom stop before passing the border into Bosnia. Views from the mountains are spectacular too!

Korisnička služba…

Dugo godina kupujem preko servisa,jako pouzdan i brz način kupovine karata.
Ove godine smo morali otkazati kartu u zadnji trenutak,poslali smo mail na korisnički službu.Odgovor je stigao brzo i unatoč što smo kasni zatražili promjenu datuma putovanja,izašli su nam u susret i prebacili rezervaciju.

No toilet on board

I would have given 0 stars if possible. The driver was so rude!! There was no toilet, so you had to wait for hours. The bus stopped for one hour, without letting the passengers know why? Then when we arrived at the city we were supposed to stop in, the bus driver drove past the busstation. We then asked him why he didn’t stop, he dropped us off at a gasstation in the middle of nowhere. No public transportation or taxis!! This is the WORST trip ever. Would not recommend using “getbybus” ever!

Abzocke

Ich habe eine Fähre nach Ko phi phi gebucht. Als ich dann bezahlen wollte wurde eine Fehlermeldung angezeigt und mir wurde die Tickets auch erstmal nicht geschickt. Deshalb habe ich dann Tickets auf einer anderen Webseite gebucht. Doch dann wurde doch Geld auf meinem Konto abgebucht und ich habe die Tickets doch bekommen. Als ich dann dem Support geschrieben habe haben sie nur geantwortet das sie mir das Geld NICHT zurückzahlen.

Getbybus - very impressed

Found out about Getbybus by accident when looking for trips to undertake on a forthcoming holiday. Planning and booking a journey was easy and the tickets were emailed very promptly. Unfortunately due to a very sudden and unexpected illness i had to cancel the trip. However, Laura,at Getbybus was very helpful in processing my refund. I would have no hesitation in using them again for booking bus travel abroad.

Beware of This Company


Recently, I purchased three tickets for a trip from Marrakesh to Agadir online through GetByBus, paying by credit card two days in advance. Despite booking well in advance, I still hadn't received the tickets by the day of departure. In a panic, I ended up buying three new tickets from a local provider. The additional stress of arranging a taxi, waking up earlier, and hoping there would be available seats was significant.

After purchasing the new tickets, I contacted GetByBus via email to cancel my original order—four hours before departure, as the tickets had still not arrived. Five minutes later, I suddenly received an email with the tickets.

Surprised, I wrote back to GetByBus, explaining that I no longer needed the tickets. Their response was that the tickets were non-refundable. I provided clear evidence that I did not have possession of the tickets at the time I had to purchase new ones.

Fortunately, the local provider accepted a return of the newly bought tickets for 80% of the purchase price—a very generous and helpful gesture, especially considering the language barrier and the short notice.

I informed GetByBus that the new tickets had been returned. Instead of offering an apology or showing any goodwill, I received a response along the lines of "We are glad you resolved your issue."

It is outrageous that GetByBus never apologized, despite the clear error on their part. As a result, I am demanding compensation of €25, as these additional costs were caused by their failure to deliver.

This isn't about the €25—it's about holding them accountable for the unnecessary stress that tainted our holiday.

Selling unavailable tickets

Bought a bus ticket online from Subotica to Vienna, which got cancelled by Getbybus hours later since there were apparently no tickets left.
Why was the ticket on sale then?
I’m still waiting for my money back.
A good business for the cashflow of the company but not for me. I will never use again. Even the timetables aren’t aligned with what the cashiers tell you at the station

Best website to use when travelling

The website is well made and from all the app different I use, this one is definitely the most complete with different bus compagny / routes / schedules.
Customer service is great is you need anything !

Quick Response

Initially I was frustrated because of a double charge for a booking. Within a day it was rectified, and I received two emails which were very pleasant explaining the glitch that had occurred.

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

Horrible day trip from Dubrovnik to Kotor. Their timetable is completely unrealistic and the bus company knows that (or should know that!)
Departure from Dubrovnik was on time at 08:15, but instead of arriving at 10:25 we arrived at 12:15 (and that was without a long wait at the border).
On the way back things got A LOT worse! Departure was at 15:55 in a very cramped bus without toilet. At ten kilometers before the border the bus driver got of the bus without saying anything (just signaling we had to stay seated) and disappeared for 15 minutes, nobody knew what was going on. When he came back we knew: he had gone groceries shopping!
But then the real nightmare was still to come: getting back into Croatia. There was a separate lane for busses, there were only 8 busses in front of us, but it took THREE HOURS to cross the border!!! The Croatian border patrol officers are horrible! Instead of the advertised 18:15 we were back in Dubrovnik at 21:30.
A day trip to Kotor is completely not worth it. You spend lots of hours on a bus, Kotor in summer is very overcrowded, a total waste of time.

Tickets reissue

Natalija, customer service agent in Croatia helped me in a kind and highly professional way after had got no proper answer from a bus operator, by giving information how to cancel wrongly online issued tickets and buy new ones without loosing a single penny
