Delighted to have found Ghost Mail as a…

Delighted to have found Ghost Mail as a business address service and mail forwarding for my limited mail as a Sole Trader. Suits me well to have a physical address instead of a PO Box. Staff were very helpful and it was easy and quick to set up. Ordered yesterday and all good to go today (including identity submission completed). Very good value for money compared to my old service.

Unethical Service – Beware!

They changed my company’s authentication code without my consent and never informed me.

I also paid GhostMail for their address service, and just one month later they changed my company’s registered address to HMRC Grimsby without my permission. They neither informed me nor offered a refund. This is completely unprofessional and dishonest. Avoid their service!

This is my response to GhostMail’s reply:
GhostMail unauthorizedly changed my Company Authentication Code, which directly caused my company to enter strike-off status, as I was unable to submit the AD01 form to update my registered office.

They also unilaterally changed my company’s registered address and refused to refund the service fee, which is completely unacceptable.

Additionally, I never received any invoice for a Director’s Service, and at the same time, I was using another provider where both registered office and director services were already included, so I was not aware that additional fees were required.

While I acknowledge that ID verification may have been overlooked due to handling multiple providers, this minor oversight does not justify GhostMail’s actions or the serious consequences caused to my company.

I am now working with legal services to restore my company’s status. Despite their explanations, I still expect a full refund, as the service I paid for was not properly delivered.

Let’s set the record straight:

You purchased a Registered Office Service for your company AOLINMODEL TECHNOLOGY LTD on 28 March 2024, and the company began using our address on 29 March 2024.

At the same time, you also registered our address for use as the Director’s, Secretary’s and PSC’s Service Address. This required an additional Director’s Service, which was invoiced but never paid, despite repeated reminders.

In addition, you failed to provide the legally required ID verification, which is mandatory under UK Anti-Money Laundering Regulations. Without this, your account could not be fully activated.

Due to non-payment and failure to complete ID verification, our Credit Control team took enforcement action in May 2024. As a result, the registered address was reverted.

For clarity, your company now remains on the Companies House default address and is currently subject to a compulsory strike-off notice, which is visible on the public record.

Ghost Mail Ltd provides services to tens of thousands of compliant clients worldwide. We take regulatory obligations seriously and will always act where fees remain unpaid or legal ID requirements are ignored.

Its not cheap service but like everything in life you pay for what you get.

Find a better service!

I used their service for two years. Got charged about £6.00 to collect in person an important piece of mail; they also charged me for disposing of a piece of unsolicited mail I received. They insist on opening letters and scanning and charge about £3 for posting them; that left me feeling uneasy.

Our fees cover the secure receipt, processing, and storage of mail, along with the option to collect in person, forward to any address worldwide, or securely dispose of unwanted correspondence. Our prices have remained unchanged for over five years – something very rare in today’s economy – and are clearly shown on every service description and within our Terms & Conditions, which must be agreed to at the time of purchase.

All mail is processed in accordance with UK law and our published Terms & Conditions. We operate to strict security standards and never open or scan personal mail unless authorised by the client or required by the selected service. Many clients value the convenience and security this provides.

We are also happy to facilitate personal collection, international postage, and courier delivery, with all prices openly published on our website. While we aim to remain competitive, this is a labour‑intensive service and must be run sustainably.

I found Ghost Mail confusing

I found Ghost Mail confusing. I just wanted to use them to provide a registered address for my company. I paid the money two weeks ago but am still not sure what the address is. I have a vague idea that I need to provide details of all of the directors but don’t know what is needed or where to find the form that needs to be completed

This would all be solved if I had an account, a username, a personal contact at Ghost and could access information relevant to me and my company

Reckless and unprofessional

Within a few months of an annual service pre-paid for contract - I received an eMail from my bank, querying my Ghostmail address, because one or more items of correspondence the bank had addressed to me had been returned by Ghostmail marked "unknown at this address".

I have only one name. It's a personal account. Just how they could make such a calamitous error (which amounts to a breach of contract in fact) is entirely beyond my comprehension, and outside any service users reasonable expectations.

My bank now want to put me through hoops of fire to prove my address or face my cards, account, and my income, being put on hold.

Thank you for your review. While we regret that you feel let down, we must respectfully challenge the assertions made.

We have reviewed your account in full. Since the start of your service in March 2025, we have only received one item of mail for you from Nationwide, which was successfully forwarded to your address in April. Our system is designed to notify clients on the same day that mail is received. If you did not receive a notification, it is because no further mail has arrived for you—meaning we could not possibly have returned anything.

We have no incentive to return mail—forwarding is a paid service and returning mail only creates administrative burden for no benefit. Suggesting we would arbitrarily reject correspondence is incorrect and unfair.

There are a number of more likely explanations for what your bank described:

The letter in question may have been sent to a previous address before your service began.

Royal Mail handling errors occasionally occur, resulting in delayed or misdirected items.

If the letter was addressed to a variation of your name not recorded in our system, it may have been returned in line with AML regulations. We are required to reject mail not clearly linked to a verified account.

We understand that issues with banking can be stressful, but based on the facts and timeline, there is no evidence that we returned mail in error. The single item we did receive for you was forwarded successfully, demonstrating that the system works when mail is addressed and processed correctly.

If your bank is able to confirm the precise address and addressee details used, we would be happy to re-check our logs and investigate further.
