The e-bike suits my needs well, been a hybrid style it is practical as it offers a comfortable, upright riding position, which is beneficial for my to commute to and from work. With the panier rack it makes it practical to transport my work case and some groceries from the shops. It may only be a 250W motor but it makes the commute a breeze and I am not a light puppy at 110kg. As of yet the battery still has the same range and has been charging fine. The black finish is a pleasure to look at, overall this bike is a pleasure to ride.

My experience with Gin sales was good.
They were honest about delivery time and my bike arrived on time. I was promised accessories and received all as promised.
I've had my bike for almost a year and done 800 miles so far without any problems.
My Gin X is a good ebike and fantastic value for money compared to similar spec ebikrs

Hi the bike is great thank you no complaints. It took along time for the delivery but I was warned by the Gin staff so i was prepared to wait. Overall, the bike is v good and dealing with Gin E was generally good. Could be improved by answering calls quicker and responding to emails quicker. But I would recommend.

Although I had to wait a while after ordering my gin x bike I was surprised by the quality and the price. I have done many miles on this bike and never had a problem
Yes I would buy from this company again.

I did a ton of online research into e-bike and the Gin came out top on a range of fronts - all the parts are standard, a tesla battery, long range and programmable. It's worth pointing out that theres a 3 month ordering window, but the bikes are built bespoke in China and are worth the wait. I've invested in a tow bar mounted bike rack for taking it around with me and I absolutely love it. Sleek matt black finish, a lovely ride (I bought a super comfy saddle and paid a local bike expert to put it together). Love riding it and it eats up the miles with effortless pedalling - no more getting buzzed past by Bradley Wiggins wannabes. Now they have to work if they want to overtake - I don't!

Had the bike since July last year and it's been excellent. I bought this bike as a heavy older rider and it suits perfectly, and, for a very good price for the spec.
Now done over 600 miles without a single hitch with the bike. I have changed the tyres and pedals to suit a more gravel and dirt route as much of my riding is in the local forest. Most rides are around 15miles and battery easily copes with this, even with higher assists up the hills.
Extremely pleased with my purchase.

I decided to upgrade my old 250w ebike to a new 500w sleek display Gin X bike. Absolutely thrilled with it..delivery did take a while but once the bike arrived I couldn't be happier. Plenty of power, solid build and does not stand out like a traditional ebike so less likely to get stolen. Thankyou Gin eBikes!

Gin is a great ebike . Sturdy and fast . Easy to operate and to assemble . Great in all trrrains . Comes with a lot of freebies too . All in all I highly recommend the ebike . I’ve had a few e-bikes before and this one is the best by a country mile . Joseph in the customer service department is so helpful and knowledgeable. Total great company and a great deal all round don’t hesitate . It’s an amazing ride and smooth on all terrains . Priced so well too . Good backup after sales service .

Really good bike it’s everything you want 80-90 miles range good disc breaks handle is really comfortable there’s nothing i dislike about this great bike.

follow up call 10 months later was really nice to receive. The company offered to provide a front basket for the 4 screw attachments on the front of the bike which is a nice gesture.

Unfortunately the screws to attach the basket did not arrive. Nor did information on which screws to buy.

For the money the bike is really good value. Compared to more expensive bikes, the quality of the build is lacking in certain areas, but it's half the price of other bikes that I've looked at. I had to wait longer than expected for the delivery, it was 7 months in the end

Had the bike around a year . Have done a some miles , Battery last well and good miles. Good all round bike. Had a small problem when I first used it with remember what number to put on[like lights] ,but after a month it was ok. So everything's been OK good e bike

My Gin e-bike is very well manufactured from quality components and is an absolute buzz to ride. Who could have known e-bikes could be such fun. My local landscape has many disused railway lines converted to bike paths - and now distance is no problem, I am free as a bird!

The Gin e bike is extremely well made, good quality parts, and great value for money compared to other bikes in this price bracket!
The battery life is fabulous and after a couple of charges improves the range as well. Shimano gears are easy to use and match up really nicely with the range modes of the electric motor giving smooth transition throughout your ride!
Brakes are top notch and slow you down very quickly and smoothly, and along with the front suspension gives you a feel of confidence.
Would definitely recommend buying a Gin E bike, customer service is great and how many other firms will ring you up and ask if you’re satisfied with your purchase?
Very pleased 😀 and I look forward to my rides both on the road and also on tracks and rougher trails as motor easily copes in all situations!

We had to wait a long time for our bike, and it was sometimes hard to get real information. However, we now have the bike and it is excellent. Easy to assemble and a complete package. Seems excellent value.

I'm writing this review after having ridden less than 50 miles and mostly on road. My initial reaction was how heavy it is, but I gather that is par for the course for e-bikes and I have been used to an alloy Claud Butler.
The bike was very easy to assemble. The power assist is impressive. It makes cycling really easy unless you want to go any faster than the assist helps you with.
The downside personally is that I am 73 and lifting the bike is almost an impossibility, which I just about managed to do to get over a footbridge!
The battery is massive so I have reason to think that the range will be very good.
Ideally bikes like this should be aluminium, not steel, but that would impact price.
The long lead time on delivery was painful, but I had a number of emails and a couple of helpful phone calls, so as a start-up company they are doing their best.
If like me you are looking for a very reasonable purpose built e-bike you could do a lot worse.

Great company to deal with. They kept in regular contact as the order progressed. There were some delays, but these were compensated for by upgrading the package, at no additional cost, well done !
The bike arrived well packaged in perfect condition, it was simple to finish the assembly. So far it has proved to be reliable, smooth comfortable & quiet in use, in fact we are seriously considering purchasing a second one, that’s a true sign of satisfaction. All in all a good company to deal with, supplying an excellent product at a reasonable price.

Ordered my Gin X e-bike after doing research on bikes at this price point, looking for bike with good performance/features for the money.
Took approx. 3.5 months from placing order to delivery from China so had to be patient (only reason why 4 stars instead of 5 stars), but was kept informed of order/delivery progress by Gin X in UK - worth bearing in mind if you are in a hurry to get a bike.
Very happy with the bike: arrived very well packed in a large box and partially assembled. It was easy enough to complete the assembly with the tool kit that came with the bike. Matt black finish looks good.
Have enjoyed initial ride outs on the bike - the pedal assist system plus e-throttle makes cycling in hilly area a lot easier and more pleasurable!

After having researched the market for a couple of weeks, I came across the Gin X crossbar online.
Its a highly specked bike with quality components, well built and fantastic value for money.
The 48v battery powers a 250w (limited) powerful torquey motor which handles the hills where I live with ease.
The bike arrived on time as promised, and Gin were a joy to deal with.
If you're in the market for an E bike then I would not hesitate in recommending the Gin X and would advise checking Gin out before parting with your cash on a more expensive and less capable machine.
The support team were extremely helpful prior to purchase and this contributed greatly in my decision to opt for the Gin X.

Enjoy my cycle path experience with my grandson, where in previous sessions it was a bit of a struggle. Having had open heart surgery,it is the way forward for me to enjoy the numerous Welsh cycle routes. The Gin Electric bike has ticked all the boxes and more.
