IF YOU WANT PEACE OF MIND
The first thing we will say is that we are delighted with the end result of our kitchen 'transformation' and the excellent service and attention to detail we received from the templater and fitter Lee. So why one star?
We approached Granite Transformations in April of this year, who are situated in Langlands Garden Centre, near York. We know they have been there for probably more than 5 years. What we have never been told is the company at Langlands appears to be operating as a franchise. When their salesman (Darryl) came to our house after measuring up and showing us the various finishes, he gave us a quote. Which we accepted , but he went on to say that we had to pay a deposit (over £1000) to reserve the particular finish we chose and that we were very lucky as it was in stock. As we had our Golden Wedding and holidays coming up we could not go fully ahead with the project until August. When the girl rang for the deposit I was told to pay a company called Casa Mia Interiors? Another payment was due after the templater had been in July. we were then told that we could not have the finish we wanted as it was not in stock. This despite the reason for the deposit earlier mentioned. My wife and I went back to Langlands to choose another finish. It was our 5th choice before it was accepted. I was reluctant to pay the templating cost quoted (over £1300) as I was now beginning to feel that we may have been scammed. I did however pay it, but it was now payable to a company called Product Brokers Limited. None of this gave us any confidence that we would actually get our kitchen refurbished. The company did knock us £100 off our final payment, but what a shocking way to be treat.

We’re sorry to hear about the confusion and concern you experienced during the process. We completely understand how the different company names appearing on payments, combined with the change in availability of your original worktop choice, could have caused some uncertainty.
To offer some reassurance and clarification, Granite Transformations operates through a franchise network and has done so for many years. Our local business has been established in the area for over 20 years, and Granite Transformations itself is a long-standing, reputable brand. This means our customers benefit from both a locally operated business and the backing and reassurance of an established national and international brand.
We appreciate the disappointment surrounding your original choice of finish. Stock availability can unfortunately change and, given the circumstances, we recognised the frustration this caused and reflected this with a reduction in your final payment.
We never want a customer to feel uncertain about who they are dealing with or whether their project is in safe hands, so we will take your comments on board and look at how we can make this clearer in future.
Most importantly, we’re very pleased that you are delighted with your finished kitchen and the quality of the installation. We hope you enjoy your transformation for many years to come, and we wish you both a very happy belated Golden Wedding anniversary.

Excellent service from first contact in…
Excellent service from first contact in the showroom to the final finish. All staff we came into contact with were professional, friendly, accommodating and efficient. We had new doors, worktop, splash back. We also chose a hob, sink, tap, lights and fan that were sourced and fitted alongside the doors and worktops all to a high standard. This company took a huge amount of stress away from managing this project ourselves. It was all completed smoothly in less than a week with minimal disruption. Dan and Chris are very skilled, completing electrics , plumbing and joinery. The area was kept clean and tidy throughout and all the rubbish and old doors etc were taken away. We are delighted with our kitchen refurbishment and would not hesitate to recommend this company. Thank you to you all.

Utter disgrace avoid at all costs ridiculous price when others can do same job for much less
Utter disgrace. I am an existing customer that has had the granite worktops and splashbacks done years ago and was really impressed by workmanship and quote etc, came out amd measured perfect...... HOWEVER we have just called them out to do kitchen door replacement and the woman who came knew nothing about her job, didnt measure; wasnt interested in how we wanted the kitchen done just so negative and oh we cant do that..... not impressed at all. Then she send a 15k quote to put us off. - if this was not the case then your prices are crazy high as others are quoting around 5k for exactly same job with same outcome - i will never use you again. anyone thinking of using this company beware or get a mortgage crazy quotes. Disgraceful

I’ve also replied to your Google review
Tracey correctly explained what could and could not be achieved with your existing kitchen and provided a quotation based on the work and products discussed.
The quotation of approximately £15,000 was accurate for the requested work and was certainly not produced to “put you off”. We completely reject that suggestion.
We appreciate that the advice and price may not have been what you hoped for, but we will always be honest about what is technically possible and quote accurately for the work requested. We fully stand behind both the advice given and the quotation provided.

Poor Aftersales
I have now been waiting for over 6 weeks for someone to call me back regarding the sealant around my kitchen sink going black, seems like after sales care is poor!

The templating and installation were all done efficiently. The installer Paolo was super helpful and even replaced a faulty hinge on one of the cupboard doors. Can recommend this company highly.

I am totally delighted with the new kitchen worktops fitted by Chris a fortnight ago. The kitchen looks so bright. I await the doors & carcasses to be painted by MATT FINISH and I will have a "BRAND NEW" kitchen for a fraction of the price of an actual new kitchen. So happy with the service provided including the fact that I requested a SPLASHBACK to be added and was given a quote of costs and date that it could be done. I would happily recommend the company.

Counter tops and sink
I knew what I wanted and it was achieved quickly and professionally. Everyone I came into contact was helpful . I am very pleased with my new countertops and sink . I love the way there is no staining and easily wiped clean on my new mainly white countertops. It only took a day to install. The communication was very good too
