3 workmen came at 8am very polite just got on with the work and stopped till it was finished at 8pm.
Hoovered where they had worked and left everything clean and tidy.

My elderly mother, who lives alone and has significant memory problems, paid Greenguard approximately £6,000 for additional loft insulation, despite already having a substantial depth of conventional insulation in place. You can see this in Greenguard’s own before photographs.

I only found out afterwards, when Mum became distressed because she couldn’t find the paperwork and couldn’t clearly remember what she had agreed to or why the work had been recommended.

For £6,000, I would expect a proper paper trail. Having recently had builders renovate my own roof, I would expect to be able to see what was surveyed, what was recommended, a clear quotation/specification and evidence that issues such as moisture and condensation had been properly considered before work started.

Greenguard told me the original paperwork was handwritten, left with Mum and cannot be replicated if she has lost it. I therefore asked what records they hold of the assessment, quotation, specification and sale. I also asked the obvious question: given all the insulation already there, why was another £6,000 system considered necessary and what additional benefit was it expected to provide?

I first raised my concerns on 25 August. Greenguard said they would investigate, including after I explained Mum’s memory problems and vulnerability. I am still waiting for a full response.

The house was also left dirty after the installation, including muddy footprints upstairs and dirty finger prints on the loft hatch.

I don’t know exactly what happened when this was sold to Mum, which is precisely why I have been trying to establish the facts. But what I do know leaves me extremely uncomfortable: an elderly woman living alone with significant memory problems paid £6,000 for loft insulation when substantial insulation was already present, and weeks later I still can’t get a clear explanation of why she needed it or the supporting records behind the recommendation.

One star. Proceed with caution.

Nick (Salesman) who inspected our loft was friendly polite and gave a clear and convincing explanation of how the loft insulation worked. My wife and I thought the price was very reasonable and was given a installation date within a week of agreeing. The fitters arrived promptly and were very polite and tidy during and on completion of their work. We were very impressed with the whole package , thanks very much GREENGUARD

Adam was our representative, not pushy at all, explained everything clearly and gave us the chance to discuss it without him being in the room.
The two lads that came to do the fitting were pleasant and made sure the floor was covered so that no mess got traipsed through the room. Everything was cleared away when they left.
If you decide to have your loft insulated, we would recommend this company.

The two fitters Ashley and Matty arrived on time, put down sheets in work areas and worked exceptionally hard , as well as explaining their progress and what they were doing very clearly.

This company must be something special for two young men to drive for two and a half hours each way and then to work in stifling heat to install my loft insulation. The process from beginning to end has been a pleasure and I will recommend them to anyone thinking of upgrading their own loft insulation with pleasure.

Minimal disruption and left the premises clean and tidy

The Salesman arrived at the appointed time and gave a full and detailed explanation of the product.
The work was carried out 5 days later by Owen who was polite and courteous and hard working. He was on his own so it took the best part of two days to complete the work. He ensured that everything was clean and tidy before leaving my property on both days. I am very satisfied with the work that has been carried out and would recommend this company to anyone thinking of having this work done.

I don't know whether these people are any good at what they claim to do. However, I do know that they have been blighting my life with telemarketing calls for several months. They call 2 or three times per week. Today I actually managed to find out who they are. Appearance on the telephone preference service list is no barrier to James the robot energy advisor in my area. Anyone that harrasses people in the way they do doesn't deserve to stay in business. It looks like desperation and I would suggest giving them a swerve.

Nathan and Ashley turned up got straight down and had the work done and dusted in no time at all a very pleasant pair of workers and it was an honour to have them in our home

My installation took place on 28April 2026 . I live in County Durham.The initial Survey by AndrewMc Laughlin was very thorough. He explained all in an easy to understand manner without pressure to purchase.on the day of installation two brilliant workers Max and Matt arrived at 8.15am after a 2.5 hour drive.The worked through the day with only a short break to finish at 4.30pm.A very pleasant friendly unassuming team.They were very careful and respectful of my property and very efficient. No mess was made and the cutting of the product was carried out in my garage. At the end they even vacuumed the hall stairs and landing. As I did not want to venture into the loft to see the finished product they have me a series of photos on my mobile phone. They also left me a sample ofSF19+.Tony with whom I dealt on the telephone was very friendly and understanding of my dislike of modern technology. He sent all receipts product Guarantee and care package by Email but also promised paper copies by post which I have now received. Waiting for the fitters to turn up and received a phone call saying they were going to be late due to a traffic accident on M5. The team of Surgess and Raitis turned up around 90 minutes later but got straight to work. Kindly emptied the loft carefully (amazing the crap you save over the years) and carried out the fitting of materials. Good hard workers, very tidy job completed and removed all waste. Would not hesitate to recommend this team. Thank you.

Owen came today to install the foil insulation in the loft.
He was very pleasant, when the job was finished he took photos to show me what he’d done, it looked very neat and tidy

This company works under the banner of "Grren energy"
Whether or not they are the same does not matter. But I must have had 50 cold calls from them over the past 12 months and they have been told 20 to 30 times to stop calling.
Today is the first time I've actually found out exactly who they are......
Perhaps they should listen to potential customs when they say they are not interested then accept that as a final decision.
What a sham this lot is...
Avoid at all costs.......

No wonder you want me to remove my "damaging review" this will not happen as you are affiliated with the cold calling company known as "Green energy"
They have called me continuously. It was only when I followed through with making an appointment did it turn out to be your company.
If you use unscrupulous cold call companies to get trade then you get bad reviews.... :(

The sales guy was good. Reasonable price in the end. Polite.
Owen the fitter was friendly and worked really hard. He did a good job and cleaned up after.
